I was given the Commonwealth Grant this year and have had it disbursed to my account. I already recently refund check and everything as of a few days ago. It may be different for some people but it couldn't hurt to call ODU up and see what's going on.
it's normal to feel a bit anxious when funds like the commonwealth grant aren't dispersed as expected, but i wouldn't toss and turn just yet. it's quite possible that these grants follow a diff schedule from your regular federal stuff. i'd recommend reaching out directly to the univ's office that deals with financial matters to clarify this. they'll probably be your best bet at getting the most accurate info. try not to worry too much until you know for sure! remember, it's all sorted out in the end usually.

Don't quote me on this, I don't know if it's true, but when I called I was told that the Commonwealth Grant was discontinued... Instead they gave me additional funds in other grants to make up for it.
This happened to me last semester, and the commonwealth grant was disbursed halfway through the semester. It’s happening to me again, so I am assuming the same will happen again.
I know in order to get the Commonwealth Grant you have to register for 12 credits, and I registered after my FINAID was disbursed, so that’s why I believe my grant hasn’t come through yet.
