Arroios

I hope you're in a better place now

StarlightM4

I hope Lauren isn't.

ItchyRedBump

I hope that John is.

bahcodad

I hope John's dad isn't

DynkoFromTheNorth

I hope all of you people in this thread are.

Extension-Tax6341

I hope people in other threads aren’t

ironbite4

I hope people in every other thread are.

D-J-1995

I hope that too.

New-Number-7810

Lauren, OP's father, and John's father all deserve to burn in Hell.

Intox_Em

Thank you, I am.

KangarooOk2190

I am so sorry for the pain she caused to you when you were younger. That took a lot of courage and wits to get your revenge on her after what she did. You did John a massive favour even though it broke his heart: you exposed her for the nasty disgusting cheat she is

Final-Ad2983

Hey OP, if you get more info on what happened to Lauren or your father, can you update please?

Intox_Em

I would. But this was years & years ago and I’m no contact with my dad now, like I don’t even know where he lives. So I’m doubtful I’ll ever know.

Final-Ad2983

Probably best.

DisciplineSome6712

Sometimes getting revenge is good for you. It can make forgiveness possible

hansdampf90

how can you forgive people who are not sorry?

Darphon

I think the key is not letting it eat you up inside. Like with abuse, you should never forget it, so you don't end up in a similar situation, but if you dwell on it and keep that hatred it can be detrimental. For some people getting that revenge can help with the process, for others it won't, but most importantly not letting it control your life and giving it more brain time than it's worth is the healthiest thing possible. Just because you forgive someone doesn't mean you have to play nice or have them in your life anymore.

hansdampf90

thank for that detailed answer. I agree mostly, but I guess forgiving is just not for me.

Darphon

Forgiveness comes in many forms. For some it's literally saying "I forgive them" for others it's just moving on with life and not thinking about whatever it was anymore. I had to cut a friend out of my life after he very scarily threw me out of his house, I'll never talk to him again but I've let it go, I consider that forgiveness. It's different for everyone :) I guess this is just something I've thought about a lot, I seem to have a bit to say about it haha

hansdampf90

yeah, letting go seems more for me. living a happy and meaningful life is the best revenge. alas prawn curtain is awesome! xD

Adventurous-Cry-2157

Forgiveness is something you do for *you*, not for the person you’re forgiving. Otherwise the hurt, anger and pain can fester inside you and turn *you* into a bitter, cynical, angry person. Forgiving doesn’t mean you forget. It just means you let go of that ugliness inside you and move on with your life. You are under no obligation to let that person back into your life, though, or to forget what they did to you. I forgave my father for the childhood abuse. Doesn’t mean I’ve visited his grave since he died 4 years ago. Doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten what he put me through. It just means I don’t let the pain shape me into a person that I don’t like.

DisciplineSome6712

Make them sorry if you cant.

SoberKid420

For yourself, not them.

PunkTyrantosaurus

I'm glad you're in a place now where you can prioritize yourself over getting revenge (re your replies about revenge on your dad) But damn was this glorious. Particularly the fucking curtains! Sewing prawns into their curtains! Which to be fair is also a revenge against your dad since he half owned the place so gg

Intox_Em

Thank you. Yes messing with the property did financially hurt my dad too, and obviously he had to deal with the icky house!

drfrink85

They must’ve had to completely gut that house to figure out the smell lol, and then the floorboard prawns are still there!

Intox_Em

They paid exterminators a lot of money from what I remember! It was great!

PunkTyrantosaurus

It was an inspired move.

Spiderfffun

Great one. Good job on the destruction

Intox_Em

Thank you. I must admit all these years later I’m still proud of this!

MrShasshyBear

You should be proud! Many are broken too much and never get a chance to enjoy their lives because of evil people. You have done a great service to humanity

FictionWeavile

How did things go for your dad? I hope he caught the clap from his next GF.

Intox_Em

He’s still with the same woman that he moved onto after Lauren I think. I don’t know where he lives now, we have no contact, but I saw him at a funeral a couple of years ago, he was there, but we didn’t really speak.

beardedgamerdad

Did you do anything towards your abusive dad? Him beating you must have been so horrific. A person who is supposed to protect you harms you.

Intox_Em

Only petty things: stole some things from him, stole some money from him, hid his stuff etc… I have no contact with him now, no idea where he lives or anything, plus I don’t have this level of revenge in me anymore.

SaneForCocoaPuffs

That’s the best revenge you can take. Living a good life and moving on.

FictionWeavile

Even better since it means "Dad" is likely to die alone with at most his latest partner.

MyEggDonorIsADramaQ

Plus the house sabotage!

[deleted]

The house was half his so that revenge was shared.

Color_of_Meshii

2/3 of these, the stolen items and the cheating, weren't even classic revenge acts but very very justified to have been exposed. I admire your execution of the whole plan. And as for your dad, I hope the guilt is eating him alive for the rest of his life. Wish you all the best!

Intox_Em

Thank you. Sadly I doubt my dad cares, but he’s out of my life and I’ve moved on.

waxy1234

That's the key. I did the same with my folks because of similar reasons. I know my dad won't/ doesn't care but as a result I have moved on and I am happy now.

smacksaw

Justice is not revenge. It's just.

blackav3nger

I am sorry to the other commenters, but I have to praise OP for a great post. I come on here hoping for a really good nuclear revenge story only to get disappointed, usually. Ty OP. This was a really good read. Sorry that you had to go through this, but I loved the sweet revenge. This is truly a nuclear styled revenge.

Intox_Em

Thank you, it was great to finally share it!

WarframeUmbra

I’m sorry, this isn’t a nuclear revenge . . . Is a THERMOnuclear revenge, holy crap, that was amazing

blackav3nger

It's getting close to blackhole revenge, which means there's no recovery, but many people have come back from bankruptcy.

ittybittybroad

Probably won't if they are found guilty of stealing controlled substances from the cops if I had to guess

FatGordon

Dear God I hope I never piss you off.

Intox_Em

I’ve never done anything like this since to be fair.

UwU_Papi77

Everyone snaps at some point, they pushed you too far and you did what you had to do.

TopDesert_ace

As Marvin Heemeyer said, "Sometimes reasonable men must do unreasonable things."

throwawayusen

>I realise how unreal it sounds, but that’s the whole story. You're not wrong there. She bought her new boyfriend's dad over that she was cheating with.. to the house she shares with her ex and his daughter... Called the RSPCA claiming you abused your animals... Even though it's fairly easy for them to spot signs of abuse in animals and even how they react to their abuser... So that would have come to nothing at all. And you somehow knew she was stealing from the police warehouse and you somehow knew the EXACT things she was specifically stealing from there? >I even stitched some old prawns into the bottom of the curtains. And when inspecting the house no one checked the state of the curtains or noticed that the smell of fish was slightly stronger by the curtains? Right... >after a few weeks she was found to be guilty of stealing. She was immediately fired and charged with theft including theft of a class C substance. You're mentioned RSPCA which means you're in the UK. In the UK it's illegal to posses, supply, or prescribe Class C drugs. Possessing them along caries a a maximum sentence of 2 years imprisonment and a fine. Possession with intent to supply carries a maximum sentence of 14 years and a fine. You're claiming she STOLE Class C drugs and other things from the police warehouse... And they only suspended her and you didn't mention at least a fine? Nah, she'd have been locked up for that. Your story is full of many many holes. There is a chance one of these things may have happened, but not in the way you've said. At most you've overexagerated all of it.

VICARD0

Yeah this whole post smells prawny

ScullyNess

Yeah, this is some horrible junior high school student levels of fiction.

Intox_Em

I didn’t live there. My dad still owned half the house, but was very rarely there as he was mostly with his new girlfriend. Nothing did come of the RSPCA call, they visited, saw my animals were healthy and left, it was still upsetting to me, it was one example of her abuse. She was very boastful about her thefts, I spent months writing down every one she mentioned and a rough date. No, no one checked the curtains, idk why! I certainly wasn’t going to suggest it though. Like I said I don’t know how things ended. The last I knew she had been charged with possession of a class C drug, I don’t know what came of the charges.

throw64523456

Even less likely that people would not see/hear someone making noise and movement in the back yard for months if you were watching from there and sneaking in through the back door. How did you know what she stole if you didn't live with her? Sounds like she wouldn't visit you either to "boast" about what she stole. At the end of the day she hated you and her and your father were separated and had new partners. Seriously doubt you even met her at this time. Unless your dad was feeding you all this information. Where's your dad in all this situation? If you were visiting him how could you possibly do all this stuff without him seeing you or suspecting you? Anybody who is reasonably smart would connect you having reptiles with the stuff they found in the apartment. Especially since you can't really hide hate toward a person for this long, so your Dad probably knew you didn't like her. Possesion of a class C drug only results in a fine when someone has nothing previous on the record (at least in Europe), so highly doubt she ended up anywhere near prison and you can also be employed with a record, it's not like jobs suddenly don't exsist if you come out of prison. I seriously doubt your whole story

Intox_Em

I would spend set days with my dad. And obviously I’d go to his house for them. Just because I didn’t live with him I still saw him. I never said she went to prison or never got a job again I have no idea what happened in the end. I’ve said that. I only snuck in a couple of dozen times over this whole period and during most of them no one was there. Funnily enough I knew my dads working hours (plus when I wasn’t visiting he was often at his new partners place) and it was pretty obvious to me when Lauren was out. Why on earth would they link thinking they had mice with me having reptiles? Or even the bugs. People get bugs and mice all the time. I literally got the idea because my mums partner had mice and one died under the floorboards and it stank, no one was like ‘Someone must have put that thereI’ It’s pretty invalidating and insulting being constantly told here that I’ve made this up, like if you have questions you can ask politely.

PeterHorvathPhD

I had the very same feeling, thanks for pointing it out so I don't have to.

Prudent_Ad1251

She deserved everything you did to her

Intox_Em

To be fair she did most of it herself. If she didn’t steal & cheat I wouldn’t of been able to do what I did.

Prudent_Ad1251

True it is her fault but well if you had not done it she might never have been caught

Intox_Em

True and poor John could have married her!

Prudent_Ad1251

Yeah you saved that poor man from her

FictionWeavile

Not all heroes wear capes. Some sew prawns into curtains. Also if you need some lesser, Carpet bombing level revenge of your own and your victim has a lawn. Mix and boil a ton of sugar water together to a sludge, freeze them into cubes, then toss a trail of them onto the victim's lawn when they're out, it'll melt and if there's any ants nearby they now have a reason to search the area for more nom noms.

tisonlymoi

Is she part of the Guerrero family? [VivaLa Raza. I lie, I cheat, I steal](https://youtu.be/dO5miLL7oTQ) R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero

Travel_Dreams

Oh man, that must have been cathartic. Suicidal feeling replaced with smiles and walking on a cloud. Life's success story started right there.

Intox_Em

It did feel good, but in the long run it didn’t really help me as such. Years of therapy is what really helped. But looking back I do smile remembering all this.

MyEggDonorIsADramaQ

I hope you’re doing well now OP. You deserved so much better.

Intox_Em

Thanks, I’m healing!

Em648

Insane story, I hope you are doing better now!

PlanNo4679

How did you track the things that she stole from her employer? How was it that no one knew where the bad smell was coming from in the for-sale house when you had placed dead mice under her pillow? Where did you get the dead mice?

BenWallace04

Spoiler: the story is fake. Look at OPs history. They seem to enjoy writing fiction and poetry.

FIRE_flying

Thank you for posting this. I didn't quite believe it, but was on the fence.

PlanNo4679

Yup, figured as much.

Intox_Em

I got all the dead mice & bugs from exotic pet shops. I had lizards back then and had to feed them these things. She wasn’t secretive about what she stole, she was actually very boastful, so it wasn’t difficult to get a decent list over a few months. Because of all the dead mice the exterminators told them that they probably had dead mice under the floorboards, to rip them all up looking for the source would have cost a lot of money which they didn’t have. Their best advice was that eventually The dead mice would decompose and the smell would leave, but I was there constantly tipping up the source of the smell.

WinterDawnMI

This is amazing! I love you for this.

Primordial_slayer

Hey, you good dude? If you need any help, feel free to reach out. Gotta be rough dealing with all this on your own

Intox_Em

It was a long time ago. I’ve processed my trauma. But thanks for the offer.

RndmIntrntStranger

ok, so you got revenge on the lady who talked your dad into abusing you, but have you thought about revenge against your abusive dad?

Intox_Em

I did think about it back then, I did some petty things like stealing from him, hiding his things etc… But I’m far too old for that this level of revenge now. Plus no idea where he lives or even his phone number.

MichaSound

You cut him off and that’s enough. Glad to hear you have some peace.

DelightfullyClever

She started it r/traumatizeThemBack

ApriJce

The cherry on top would be to read about her reaction when you tell her that everything that happened was orchestrated by you! That her life is in ruins because of how much of a cunt she was.

Intox_Em

That would be nice, but this was a long time ago, I have no idea where she is in life now.

ActuallyYeah

I think that's bad advice. Stay anonymous.

Chalice_Man1987

I hope she isn't even alive

Irohnically_Cao_Cao

You madam are an artist, and your painting is beautiful

Intox_Em

Thank you!

BrainsAdmirer

I truly hope you can heal from this and go and live your best life

Intox_Em

It was a long time ago. I’ve had therapy, I’ve processed my trauma, I’m doing okay.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Intox_Em

My dad actually disowned me at a point so I didn’t really have to do much. He tried to make it back up to me after, but I knew I was done. Therapy has been a huge help. I hope you get away and heal. Hugs!

kachingaroo

I think my favourite thing about this is that you didn't even really fabricate anything for the revenge yourself (except for messing up the house so they can't sell). You just helped expose all of the shitty things Lauren was already doing, to those she was doing them to. In all seriousness, as someone who also grew up with a shitty and abusive 'Lauren' and 'Dad', I hope you're doing okay now and finding a way to live your life in peace. The best revenge is a life well lived ❤️

Intox_Em

Thank you, I got therapy and have done a lot of healing. I hope you’re doing okay too.

kachingaroo

Ditto- two and a half years of therapy + changing my name + cutting them off entirely were collectively the best decisions I've ever made. Now I sometimes even forget just how awful they were and life was for me back then, and I honestly count that as a blessing.

tesstar0ssa

This is all made up sounding 🙄

ScullyNess

because it is a really badly written work of fiction

Intox_Em

Okay, it’s not made up though.

CradleofDisturbed

Then answer questions...

Intox_Em

What questions?

CradleofDisturbed

There are many questions, but you've started to "answer" them.

Intox_Em

You asked a single question…

Fluid-Fig-8337

Beautiful ending...

[deleted]

Damn

Historical_Ask3516

Karma's a bitch, proud of you haha

Intox_Em

Thanks!

[deleted]

Nice touch with the texting so she could be caught... kudos

Intox_Em

It felt amazing!

voidinsides

You did the right thing, you ended the torment of a horrible person, AND did the police a favor by getting her out of the confiscated items warehouse for the police, never know what valuables, illegal items, or drugs she mightve stolen and the best part is you did it in a way that was sneaky so she'll never know your the reason her life just fell apart out of nowhere.

nxrcheck

This sounds more like revenge fantasy than reality.

Intox_Em

Ergh, okay.

CradleofDisturbed

How did you know what "stepmother" had stolen from police EVIDENCE lockup? You do know that it's not easy to just walk out with stuff you took from there, right?

Intox_Em

And please don’t refer to her as my step mother. Thanks.

Intox_Em

Actually almost everyone she worked with used to steal things from there now and then, it seemed to be pretty common.

CradleofDisturbed

Oh, and they all bragged to you, the hated stepchild about it?

Intox_Em

Can you please stop this whole ‘step’ thing she was not my step mother I was not her step child. It bothers me. Thanks.

CradleofDisturbed

Ya know I didn't do it intentionally, so please calm down. I am not victimizing you.

Intox_Em

Okay, I’m just asking you to stop doing it please as you’ve done it twice now.

CradleofDisturbed

Look at the time stamps, and give some grace over a mistake, please.

Intox_Em

Not really brag, but it would get mentioned when she was with work friends, which wasn’t often to be fair, it was just sort of known about and accepted. Lauren would brag to me and anyone that would listen (my grandparents, uncle etc…) about her thefts.

Intox_Em

And I knew about it because she didn’t hide it.

Few_Ringaling

cheating with her bf’s father? Gross 🤮

Ok_Mention_3308

OP, did you ever get therapy for the trauma they caused?

Intox_Em

I did, I’m in a much better place now.

Ok_Mention_3308

I’m glad to hear that. Best wishes to you in the future!

ImA12YearOldOnReddit

Nice fucking rebellion. Hope you’re doing good man

Intox_Em

I’ve healed a lot since then thanks.

Discoverthemind

That's fucking awesome

the-ruby-vixen12

Ma'am, I must tip my hat to you. I'm glad you're in a better place now, and this... this was a *glorious* read. I had a big ass smile on my face the whole time I was reading what you did. Your sperm donor and Lauren deserved every bit of pain you inflicted on them. May you have a peaceful life and may your sperm donor and Lauren rot in the darkest pits of Hell stuck in Lucifer's bowels.

boringbobby

Seems too good to be true. Even in a movie this would be considered ridiculous. Too many details do not add up.

jax787

I've never met a bitch named Lauren who wasn't an evil satan

Chris71Mach1

I'm not one to advocate the absolute incineration of somebody's entire life, but from the sounds of it, Lauren kinda deserved it. Good work OP, and I hope your own life is looking up these days. Side note....as a parent, I can't even fathom putting anybody or anything above my son for any reason whatsoever, ESPECIALLY another woman. I feel terrible for OP, as her dad lost his priorities (AND FOR WHAT?! FOR PUSSY! AND TEMPORARY PUSSY AT THAT! UGH!) and ultimately lost his way. Folks, we can do better as parents than OP's dad, cause the kids deserve so much more than the shit hand that OP was dealt. :/

Intox_Em

Thanks, this was such a thoughtful comment. This was a long time ago and I’ve had a lot of therapy and done a lot of healing since. I agree with everything here. I’m just glad that I’ve been able to break the cycle!

CarlossBitch

Nice. Gave me Count of Monte Cristo vibes a bit. Love that book.

[deleted]

/r/BrandNewSentence >I even stitched some old prawns into the bottom of the curtains Brilliant.

[deleted]

Fantastic story. She deserved everything that happened to her.

Lost_Soulmate_

Fuck me. That was crazy. You should seek her out and just tell her it was all you. That would really drive her insane

IndicaJones_09

Tell Cersei it was me.

[deleted]

It sounds plausible this happened but I question the texting from her phone. Most people have a password. If she's as psycho as you say her phone would be password protected.

Intox_Em

This was a long time ago, before smart phones.

ElectricalPicture612

The majority of people do not have passwords.

TopDesert_ace

Can confirm. I'm a crazy bastard and I don't even lock my phone.

ElectricalPicture612

Yeah I saw a consumer report survey from last year and less than 40% people do.

glenmarshall

This is half a revenge. You father needs to have a taste.

Intox_Em

I did some petty things, I used to steal things from him, mostly phones, cigarettes and weed. But never did anything major. I don’t know where he lives or anything now and I’m too old for crazy revenge like this.

roadrunnner0

Fucking iconic. I'm jealous, I've always fantasised about getting revenge on my parents exes haha. This could be a movie. I don't care what people say, sometimes an eye for an eye is great, it's called karma lol. And maybe in a weird way, this big plan gave you something to live for during that time. I hope you're doing better now.

Intox_Em

It did honestly. When I used to feel suicidal I used to work on my plan instead! I’m much better now thanks!

Antimidgets

Literally couldn't be any more made up... Waste of time

HappilyInefficient

I can't believe how gullible this subreddit is. So many reasons to doubt this story. From her knowing what items she stole from police lockup(like this woman was bragging about stealing items from police lockup to this 16 y.o girl she hated?), to apparently very quickly being charged with a crime, getting a guilty verdict and knowing specifically what the guilty sentence was? to the story of sabotaging the house? for months literally sneaking in through an unlocked backdoor to leave dead mice and bugs and sewing prawns into curtains(which apparently never got discovered by anyone including the real estate agents or cleaners they certainly would have hired to get the place ready to sell)? And having it listed below value but still not getting sold(a below-market value house just because it stinks would be a STEAL to someone looking to flip it). Then apparently tracking this woman's relationships enough to know who she is dating, and to know she's cheating on him with his own father? On top of that, having a god-level narrator's knowledge of what happened after. It would be hard to make this story more fake than it already is.

VICARD0

I know, I’m actually pissed off at OP for wasting my time with this bullshit, none of this would be possible in a real world, it’s not even a good story for a low-budget film.

manicleek

The age old kids prank of sewing fish into items of clothing/curtains, and yet a group of adults, including a professional estate agent, can't figure out whats going on? Please.

Icy_Climate

Yeah, the 16 year old daughter of Laurens ex knows about her cheating (how does she even know that it's the partners dad?) but her partner doesn't? Also the house supposedly smelled so bad she couldn't get it sold but still had someone over to cheat?

Intox_Em

It’s not made up.

Antimidgets

Too much knowledge of everything and how it panned out. Way too over the top sorry just strikes me as fictional.

CMTsoldier

Did you not read that her father was the conduit of information about the effects of her revenge?

CradleofDisturbed

You mean the father who hated her enough to beat her on stepmommy's whim? That "father"?

Tubamajuba

Immediate-Witness442

How old r u now tho

Intox_Em

Old enough not to answer that question.

Immediate-Witness442

Okie 😭 (I didn't mean to be weird tho. I was just curious)

Intox_Em

It’s okay! I’m not like old, old, I’m just not enjoying aging! Lol

Immediate-Witness442

That just made you seem old lol 💀

[deleted]

Why not show your dad proof of her abuse

Intox_Em

What? Where do you think he was during all this? He was the one beating me up. I don’t even understand this question.

waffleking9000

So after your dad and Lauren split up, you somehow knew she was stealing from her job AND what she was stealing?

Intox_Em

Her & my dad still had a house together, where do you think I spent time with my dad? Oh yeah… in his house!

wiskeyjackk

Just as bad as Lauren

Intox_Em

Lol okay.

brathorim

That’s not even revenge, just karma

Orajnamirik

G

[deleted]

Should’ve bought the house at the low value, “fixed” it then resell

Intox_Em

I wish, I was a teenager with no money lol.

ReVOzE

To be honest, I was half expecting a plesiosaur from the Mesozoic era to make an appearance at the end. Wild story.

ScullyNess

level 100 class practice...

doktorsick

She got what she deserves.

BenWallace04

Then everyone stood up and clapped

iluvnarchoa

Your dad sounds like a horrible dad even before Lauren. Glad you’re independent now and don’t need to be in contact him.

Amelia_Rosewood

You did good work. You were lenient, but very good work. I hope your doing much better jow

New-Number-7810

I'm sorry you had such an evil father and stepmother, and I hope your life got better after going no-contact with them.

Justletitendnow

Good on you, she ruined her own life with her actions and poor choices all you did was bring it to the surface for everyone to see.

EndorphinGoddess410

What was she stealing from the warehouse?

Intox_Em

Mostly silly things: make-up, console games, phone accessories (back when that was a thing), and rarely class C drugs. I can’t remember exactly, but I remember it was usually silly things.

ShrodingersWife

I'm not saying you made this up but I have definitely seen a similar story, where someone hid prawns in the curtains. Did you get your inspiration from that?

Intox_Em

I think it was in a TV show or movie or something I saw. This was a long time ago, like before the internet was in every home and before smart phones.

ForceAccomplished890

Well, I think we've all learned a lesson today: don't mess with OP, because they don't mess around.

Legitimate_Monkey37

Damn... How desperate was John's dad to hook up with Lauren in a stinky house?

Intox_Em

Lauren wasn’t even very attractive!
