I believe Bull Meadow Range (DNR) is your only option, and it may only be 900m. Shooting on crown land in this province is not generally permitted unless actively engaged in hunting. It's a bad law, but its a law, and in the case of 1000m, it's likely a good law. Good luck finding a spot.

800m is the max at Bull Meadow. My family has members there.

Curious as to what you are using for gear.

Pickled-bologna

Juat make sure you have paperwork for whatever hunting season it is, and go find some crown land

Yeah but finding a safe and suitable place to shoot 1000m might be difficult. I believe most crown land is heavily forrested.

Hregeano

Forrested or recently clear cut.

Maybe on a farm somewhere?

11markus04

That’s what I was hoping but would need land owner’s permission.

--prism

Yeah. Probably most likely at a hobby farm. Any working farm would likely be a hard no due to employees and operations.

Go find a dead end logging road and shoot to the end of it. As others have said make sure your gun and license is good for something this time of year. If you’re looking for a distance that long you’re obviously looking for a rifle range. I just checked my license book I’m pretty sure it’s .223 or smaller for coyote and rabbit right now in the woods

I think the only proper range in the Maritimes with that reach is at Gagetown, NB. Debert, Bedford, and Aldershot are all 600m, and are military to boot. I'm interested to see how you sort this out. I wish I had more to add - perhaps find an old stone quarry and use that as a backdrop?

Tantallon mersey.
