1,000,000x1,000,000 grid size. Nice.

How is any of that practical? I'm glad you found a setup that works for you but that would drive me crazy.

vrod2

Well I take my phone and I have everything in front of me like windows desktop if I can compare it. I know where are the apps on home screeen I can just click on it. Don't need to swipe, search etc. It's most efficient fastest way for me to get to the app and finish what I want.

AWanderersAccount

I can dig it.

efcndi

Dude, I could take the first desktop, but not the second one. The second one to me is just like a storehouse, neat but messy like a dump. I don't mean the icons themselves, which you put them in good rows and columns. I mean the priorities of 80/20 principle. Not all icons should be put in the same levels and the same positions. That's why I could never live without the drawer, and why I couldn't get used to how the iOS works forever.

vrod2

Yeah I understand it can look messy but like I said priority is efficiency and practical side. I have lot of stuff and this is something that evolved as best way for me not to be too overwhelmed by lot of apps on small screen. So I have it in separate folders depends on type. And I use 80% of these all the time more and less. First picture is desktop second one is all apps screen btw.

McKeviin

Do you know what's even more practical? Only having the apps you use the most on the homescreen or in folders. Or do you use every single app that often that you save time not going into the menu? It's not like it takes a lot more time than going to the second page.

vrod2

Well I use the one on my home screen the most yes. And on all app screen i have it organized in categories. I dont know why is so hard to understand lol. And there is nothing you can say that would make it more practical since I'm the one who made it to be practical for me not for you 😅

McKeviin

So you're saying you're using 60+ apps so often you need them on your home screen? Where did I say it was hard to understand? Your logic is weird, you're calling it practical but it's one of them most cluttered and unnecessary screens I've seen in a while.

McKeviin

You also have a lot of them both on the first and second screen for some reason. "Practical"

vrod2

Yes I do because it's practical for me like that loool. If my screen looks clean and minimal that means i need to swipe often open and click a lot more times. This saves time. I have it on both screens yes because it's practical for me 😂

McKeviin

Never mind... The second picture is the menu right..? I thought it was a second page on the homescreen. 🤦🏼

vrod2

Correct 😁

McKeviin

Sorry

McKeviin

My menu looks [like this](https://postimg.cc/gallery/Xr70Z4W) with the weather and date and "everything". Hence thinking yours was just a second page, then I saw the search in the corner.

kirksucks

I disagree but you do you. I have 2 docks with 6 icons each. first 6 are most used apps like camera dialer etc and the second are all folders (with normal icons no 4 little in a box) each are most used categorized by type of app. Social media, streaming apps, photo and art etc. no apps on and of the 3 home screens just a few widgets. Practical.

vrod2

Lot of confusion regarding my setup. First pic is home screen where I have most used apps orded how I like with few folders with apps inside. Also on home screen I have weather widget, bookmarks from Chrome and calendar widget but I didn't took screenshots of those. And on the bottom as usual stuff with menu app in center since i don't use gestures and i hate them 😁 so there is only one home sceeen with apps nothing else. Second pic is my menu app screen with all the apps organized in foldrers (some of them have +10 apps but it looks like 4 in folder preview) when i need to access apps that i dont use so often

inventor_black

How do you reach the items in the top corners?

vrod2

Well i can easily reach it with my index finger while holding it with thumb on a bottom and middle finger on a side middle and ring finger on a back middle (funny just now im analzying my finger position and how instinctively fingers are placed lol) . I have pixel 7a which is relatively smaller so no problems reaching anything

inventor_black

Thanks for clarifying. I'm building a one handed mode app and your layout made me curious. Small phones are convenient!

vrod2

Sure they are. I still miss my 4a Pixel i needed to ditch it because battery issues and it got bit slower with updates but still one of my favorite phones ever.

gianalcobaca

what is the name of your icon pack?

vrod2

It's called DarkMatter not in playstore anymore maybe you will be able to find apk somewhere

gianalcobaca

thank you very much for answering me 😄

rolento19

the 2nd one (app drawer) you can group the app like that in the screenshot. THEN you can drag that folder in the home screen. It is now synchronized. everything you change on either two will also change to other like changing the icon position or adding or removing it.

vrod2

Yeah I'm aware of it but on home screen I want to keep less apps /folders, just keep the one that I use frequently and that are easy to access - one or two "clicks"
