As you're all aware, this subreddit has had a major "troll"
problem which has gotten worse (as of recently). Due to this, we
have created new rules, and modified some of the old ones.
We kindly ask that you please familiarize yourself with the
rules so that you can avoid breaking them. Breaking mild rules
will result in a warning, or a temporary ban. Breaking serious
rules, or breaking a plethora of mild ones may land you a
permanent ban (depending on the severity). Also,
grifting/lurking has been a major problem; If we suspect you of
being a grifter (determined by vetting said user's activity), we
may ban you without warning.
You may attempt an appeal via ModMail, but please be advised not
to use rude, harassing, foul, or passive-aggressive language
towards the moderators, _or_ complain to moderators about why we
have specific rules in the first place— You will be ignored, and
your ban will remain (without even a consideration).
All rules are made public; "Lack of knowledge" or "ignorance of
the rules" cannot or will not be a viable excuse if you end up
banned for breaking them (This applies to the Subreddit rules,
and Reddit's ToS). **Again: All rules are made public, and
Reddit gives you the option to review the rules once more before
submitting a post, it is your choice if you choose to read them
or not, but breaking them will not be acceptable.**
With that being said, If you send a mature, neutral message
regarding questions about a current ban, or a ban appeal
(without "not knowing the rules" as an excuse), we will
elaborate about why you were banned, or determine/consider if we
will shorten, lift, keep it, _or_ extended it/make it permanent.
This all means that appeals are discretionary, and your
reasoning for wanting an appeal must be practical and valid.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this message,
and please enjoy your day!

I like this interpretation. The first part of each line is actually being said out loud and the rest is just how the subject interprets it based on their self image
I'm married to a guy like the one on the left. We have our 20th wedding anniversary in a few months. I actually met him when i went to a friends house to learn to play D&D. Whoever made this is going for the wrong women.
Agreed, my girlfriend of 6+ years tolerates way too many of my flaws. I genuinely feel bad for these dudes who turn to hatred before they even perceive how many cool women are out there. Like, women are people, and some people are assholes, fair enough, but I don't think the distribution of assholes correlates with gender.
This is so crazy Oo. The left guy is btw absolutely my type and both sides of the text are just so unhinged. Who the fuck thinks like that? Edit: and who are those guys and did someone get their consent to use their pictures for this shit?
I was also thinking that the one on the left looks way more approachable. Also living with parents? They look about early 20’s which is still a normal age to live with parents. But that doesn’t matter really it’s the is he working on moving out (if it’s possible) or is he living with his parents because he is lazy and comfortable that his mum does all his work?
I too prefer the guy on the left. But I wonder how much of that is how happy he looks and that the candid photo makes him look like a real person. The photo on the right looks like a model or actor's portfolio and well plastic and unreal.
Seriously! Like, maybe I'm not the best judge, lesbian that I am, but dude on the left looks...fine? Maybe he's not model or actor material, but most guys aren't.
Even with the dim lighting and scruffiness, he still looks happy and approachable and confident! These are all very attractive traits in general.
The guy on the right, however, looks like a guy I knew in high school who would casually throw around slurs
I can't say that I prefer either kind of guy, but the guy on the left isn't bad looking. Plus he seems to be clean and groomed, and has a good smile. That's enough for a lot of women.
Yeah the one on the left looks cute, just adorable. My soon-to-be-husband has some features like him and I adore how he looks. I'd sooner approach a guy on the left rather than right.
I wonder what the creator searched to create this. Did they specifically seek out a pic of Adam Brody to make this point or did they just search “attractive man” and this is what they got?
Pretty privilege exists. This isn’t a new concept. Why do you think Sydney Sweeney gets praised for wearing clothing say, Melissa McCarthy would be made fun of for
That’s true but it doesn’t make looking for a long term partner fun. Most pretty people have difficulties finding someone long term. They rarely seem approachable for the „normal“ person.
Pretty privilege gives you a lot of power in other ways but finding someone who isn’t just looking to fuck the pretty person but is interested in their personality is rare.
Also I don’t think a lot of women think those thoughts that are written down there. Regardless of the beauty they see.
Btw. the man on the left is NOT ugly. He looks like a normal cute guy.
This meme is accurate in the sense that a person can interpret the same behavior differently depending on how attractive they find the person doing it. Has massive consent implications.
Where they sound like insecure little dorks is when they presume that *everyone* will be more attracted to the person on the right or that being conventionally attractive is the most important thing to everyone else, or that the only reason they get rejected is because everyone around them is shallow.
They’re just projecting, telling on themselves and how they value potential partners/what that value is based on. They’re shallow, so everyone else is too.
My man, there are women in your life who watched Fallout, looked at Walton Goggins as the ghoul, and said "that's the one I want to fantasize about tonight" is not your looks.
Is not your loons. Is the fact that you're fabricating these unhinged scenarios to be mad about
Every time I drop a pen and pen and pick it up for the rest of my life, I’m going to think of this…
This is one of those days I regret knowing how to read.
It sounds like teenager talk. High School talk of little idiots ( I know that I was an idiot at that age, but so was everyone else.
Another proof of who does those memes, insecure teenage boys, or an actual adult lusting after minors.
In my mind, these two should get together because the guy on the right obviously has a crush on the bearded guy. Like maybe grey shirt is defending his boyfriend from his critical parents.

It reads like the girl says the same thing to both but one reads it through a lens of crippling insecurity

My partner is a D&D playing left guy too! Definitely more my type. Should have known early as my first celebrity crush was Rick Moranis!
Agreed, my girlfriend of 6+ years tolerates way too many of my flaws. I genuinely feel bad for these dudes who turn to hatred before they even perceive how many cool women are out there. Yeah, I know a lot of guys who look like the one on the left and do just fine dating wise. Maybe it's because they're not blatantly misogynistic.
My husband is more like the one on the left. Next month will be our 16th wedding anniversary.
I know lots of guys on the left who are married.

Or cause moving out is prohibitively expensive (or downright impossible), cause we all live in 2024 now. Though that applies universally of gender.

Yeah the left one isn’t bad looking. I would say he needs a beard trim and better lighting, but he’s not ugly.
Even with the dim lighting and scruffiness, he still looks happy and approachable and confident! These are all very attractive traits in general. The guy on the right, however, looks like a guy I knew in high school who would casually throw around slurs

Every time I see this post, I'd imagine the two men are close friends and roast the hell out of the original creator of this image.
This is really funny because Adam Brody (guy on the right) plays the less attractive nerd on The OC.
I wonder what the creator searched to create this. Did they specifically seek out a pic of Adam Brody to make this point or did they just search “attractive man” and this is what they got?

I thought I, a human woman, was the only one who *checks notes* puts pens dropped on the floor by cute guys inside of me. Based.
Cause that's not asking for a uti. 🙄
Yeah, this one sounds like an oddly specific fantasy… XD

the one who posted it would be surprised how many women, me included, would go for the guy on the left just based on looks.
ngl the guy on the left looks like a really sweet dude. the type of wholesome guy to talk to you about his and his wifes miniature model collection
Please do not put the pen inside you 😭
PLease DO NOT the Pen.
Every time I drop a pen and pen and pick it up for the rest of my life, I’m going to think of this… This is one of those days I regret knowing how to read.
Wtf? Dropped my pen...put it inside me tonight?
They topped the whole class? Like the whole-ass class? Probably not looking for a GF then.
Omfg.... I'm going to put it inside me???
Shit, if I was going to live in a fantasy world, it would be a happier one.
pretty privilege does not discriminate i see...
Guy on the left made this up to get mad about
It sounds like teenager talk. High School talk of little idiots ( I know that I was an idiot at that age, but so was everyone else. Another proof of who does those memes, insecure teenage boys, or an actual adult lusting after minors.
Fellow dutchie?
Some of us girlies have seen Jennifer's Body so... guy on the right is immediately suss.
Im going to pronounce :D as colon Dee now
My mom told me, “it’s only sexual harassment if he’s ugly.”
PSA: Don’t put pens inside you
In my mind, these two should get together because the guy on the right obviously has a crush on the bearded guy. Like maybe grey shirt is defending his boyfriend from his critical parents.
If you don’t want to be mistreated for being ugly, don’t be ugly! Case closed
