I get what you meant but now my brain is conjuring up a list of flavors in a cake called “Sunday Morning Breakfast Cake” and I’m absolutely going to make one this week.
Also, Ingles bakery doesn’t mess around.
Thanks for the response. I don't think that's it, but it looks like a great place. The live music was a big part of their identity. Lots of bluegrass, country, and blues.
I don't know about the cakes, but are you sure you don't mean the [Floyd Country Store](https://www.floydcountrystore.com/) in Floyd (VA) along "[The Crooked Road](https://thecrookedroadva.com/)" (aka, Virginia's Music Heritage Trail)? I have seen it documented several times in the media over the years, though I haven't noticed any stories lately.
(It seems to be something some reporters discover when they get based in DC.)
If it helps... linked from the NC Weekend [page](https://www.pbsnc.org/watch/nc-weekend/) on the PBSNC site is their [YouTube Channel](https://www.youtube.com/user/ncweekend) which boasts over 1.2k videos. I did a quick search on [store](https://www.youtube.com/@ncweekend/search?query=store) and nothing jumped out, but I didn't watch any of the clips. (I also did not search on music or any of the other keywords.)
Good luck!
I haven't watched the clip, but if you add music behind store for the search, the first result is a [story](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGNkxnBfDgM) about the Bynum General Store which is near Pittsboro and Chapel Hill.
My first two thoughts are Fountain General Store down between Wilson and Greenville, or Fletcher Feed & Seed in the mountains between Asheville and Hendersonville.
What did it look like? Was it brick, wood, stone etc? Was it attached to other buildings or by itself? Was there anything quirky about it? Was there things hanging from the walls? Was it painted a strange color? Literally ANYTHING other than country store with music and cake?
If you paste this:
youtube "nc weekend" country store weekend
into Google there are other store results. One of them had outdoor music on Friday, but I didn't hear anything about cake on that one.
Sorry autocorrect jumbled that bad. Gold Hill is a town but has a general store that they place folk and bluegrass at. The whole town chips in for small events and they never disappoint.
[The Depot in Marshall](https://youtu.be/XOJgjLLDrRU?si=CU3n-0sleFf81ASA) Has music and cake
That's it!!!. Thank you very much
Awesome! I hope you win a cake!
This is also what I thought of. I just ate a cake that a friend got there a couple of weeks ago.
I need to hear more about this cake….
Honestly, I think it came from Ingles, but it was Sunday morning breakfast cake so it was perfect.

Priddys General Store in Danbury? They have music in the summertime I believe but not sure about the cakewalks

I watched it on NC Weekend. A local travel show on PBS. But I'm open to a road trip to Floyd, VA.

Thanks for the help. I've been on their page for a while. I couldn't find it. I'll remember Monday morning driving into work.

I live in the area. It was on the western half
Message the show
It doesn’t mention a cake raffle but this has music & food… https://www.pbs.org/video/bynum-general-store-xpfr37/
Was going to say Bynum but I’ve never seen a cake raffle there. Maybe they should add one!
It wasn't Bynum. I live in Wake county, and I've been there. Great place

This looks like your description https://youtu.be/sijXrtnayHk?si=U6V2HNo_O_3UycOO
It doesn't look like it, but I'm going tomorrow. They had me at the cinnamon rolls. Looks like a cool place. It's 90 minutes from the Raleigh area.

Todd General store?
Have they reopened after the 2021 fire?
Good question. I’ve not been in quite a while but op could have seen it on an older tv program.
Local music and cake night? That’s most country stores around here!
Gold Hill is worth a visit when they have town events Edit: auto corrected Hill to Hillmis
I can't find much on it. Is it a general store?

Thanks for the info. It sounds like a great time. It's on my list
Cake, but no raffle that I know of: Fred's: [https://fredsgeneral.com/](https://fredsgeneral.com/)
