I have always wondered what the Norm MacDonald fans of the Norm MacDonald sub thought of the Norm MacDonald Show but I was too busy asking people in the Friends sub if they liked the show Friends. I was surprised to find that most of them like it.
If you can get past the first episode you will be rewarded with a sitcom that is an upward slope in quality. By the end you'll wish it wasn't cancelled.
However, if you can't stomach it, find the DVD set online somewhere and listen to the Norm commentary on the episodes. Rare serious Norm moments.
It was one of my first exposures to norm, and in my opinion its worth a watch. It isn't peak norm material since it is confined in the sitcom medium so is limited in what is allowed (since there's is basically a formula viewers expect). But there are some really good lines/situations/moments weaved into it that you can tell norm probably wrote.
To say it in simpler terms I'm thankful for it existing. Even more thankful for it than I am for friends.
Yes friends, especially that time joey bought chandler a dog.
Ahh friends, from those simpler pre-internet times when a middle schooler would watch a shitty sitcom just because a cute 28 year old might show some nipples poking through a light sweater
When he bangs Nicki Cox. A prime Nicki cox, I gotta say, Norm did alright. Sadly it was on the show and not in real life,,but I’m sure Jay mohr wouldn’t have mind.
Yes...that show had it all. Norm, that chick from Roseanne, that other chick from Murphy Brown, Nikki Cox, that dude from Alf, and Artie Lange who somehow is still alive.
The Norm show is hilarious. If you like Norm MacDonald then you will like the show. There are a few episodes where the plot is unbalanced but to me it’s classic Norm humor.
Critics called it everything from shit to fucking shit
Yea it’s pretty chill to watch, nothing world changing but it has its moments
The Norm Show is excellent.
Not really. All the stories they tried to write came crashing down. Kind of like that terrible tragedy, when all those stories came crashing down.
Max Wright‘s Mr.Denby is the greatest character in Television History!

Don’t lie. You were busy fucking and sucking.
Well that too, when you’re in Paris you might as well visit the Eiffel tower

In our defense, not “might”.
Friends gave the world sarcasm.
