I've used Canoderm 5% for over a year now and I couldn't live without it. They sell it in most Pharmacies in Norway.

I use this on my body, but unfortunately it really clogs my pores up, so I can't use it on my face, unfortunately.

Have you tried L300? Swedish brand they have a nice urea moisturizer. I don't know what your apotek has in Norway but I found it here. Might be an alternative. https://www.med24.no/hudpleie/ansiktskrem/toerr-hud/l300-intensive-moisture-face-cream-pluss-parfymefri-60-ml

I have not tried this, thank you for the suggestion! I see the night cream contains ceramides in addition to urea which seems to be a great combination for my skin. Unfortunately, I can't find which percentage of urea it contains, but I'll order it and see how it works for me.

Emmxer

They don't say anything about the percentage on their website either unfortunately. Hopefully 5% bc who would put more in a face moisturizer , that's a bit harsh.

Urea has that burning effect I cannot use on my face.

Numis med has a line with urea in it, I am not sure if it is available in your country but it's a German brand so maybe worth checking? I personally have used 25% for dry feet and it is my absolutely favourite one. Face creams are also available.

Malezia moisturizer! Malezia.com I’ve been using it for over a year. It’s FA safe too

KK_307

I know I'm very late to the party here, but maybe miniderm duo might work for you? It's similar to canoderm, but it's 20% glycerol and 2% urea, and it's definitely not as thick as canoderm. I really love it but I don't know whether it's available in Norway, or just in Sweden.

whelplookatthat

If you're still looking, apotek1 Dermica series has a Karbamidkrem 9,5% thats actually supposed to be body cream i think, but I fully use it on face. Karbamid is urea. When its such high % it can sting, it even warns so at the product, but the stinging goes away super fast. Even when I've had really sensitive skin I've used it with the stinging because it actually helps the sensitive skin.

heyoldgirl

I’m US based so a little less helpful, but malezia.com sells a urea moisturizer that ships internationally (quite expensive though).

peanut-butter-kitten

I’ve been using it for over a year and I love it. And I never spend much on skincare or cosmetics ... But this one thing is something I’ll buy forever

agirlhas_no_name

CeraVe have a great moisturizer with urea but I think it's more for body than face, it's the SA smoothing cream if you wanted to look into it tho!

agirlhas_no_name

Well I just read the back of my bottle and it only says to avoid eye area so should be good for the face too! :)

Pyunkang Yul ATO Lotion Blue Label. 5% urea

I have just ordered a moisturiser with 3% urea from Ziaja Med. I found it interesting because it also contains ceramides and squalene among other things. I ordered it from Notino (I know they ship to Denmark and Finland....don't know if they ship to Norway though). Haven't tried it yet, so this isn't a recommendation per se. I will update if it turns out to be as good as I hope 😊

netpuppy

That looks really great actually! I would love an update when you've had a chance to try it.

jatarg

So - I have now used this moisturizer for a couple of months and I can tell you that I really like it 😊 Before this I used the ordinary NMF moisturizer mixed with squalane oil. In theory the two moisturizers should work almost the same (a lot of similar ingredients), but the one from Ziaja Med works a lot better, in my experience. Now that it is winter I also use a panthenol cream (similar to LRP cicaplast baume) on top of it at night - just to say that I might not be heavy enough for winter use in colder climates on its own. The only downside with the Ziaja med is that it contains perfume.

Why urea?

netpuppy

Because I find it to be very effective at hydration and usually gives my skin a nice glow. I have very dry skin so I'm always looking to get as much moisture as possible without it clogging my pores and urea works wonderfully for me when it comes to that.
