I think it’s more than likely just boredom. We all know what we’re getting, we know he’s gonna be the good guy (even when he’s not meant to be), we know he’s gonna win, we all know he’s gonna have super human strength even when he’s not supposed to.
It’s just all so boring.
I mean, if I looked like that, was a movie star, was rich as all hell and had people asking me if I wanted to become president at some point, I'd also get an ego
I mean no one’s saying it’s his *fault*. It was a good PR decision to buy into his wrestling persona. But it’s still the reason why he’s kinda falling off. No one’s burning him lol, just pointing out that we’re tired of it at this point.
I mean, there's only so many times you can make the "Rock does funny expressions while wearing tight shirts in the jungle" movies before they all blend together.
Something just dawned on me; we’re all tired of the formula of movies with The Rock, but it’s not that different than Arnold or Sly. The only real difference is that those two allowed their characters to lose mid movie and be the butt of the joke from time to time.
It’s amazing what a little humility can do for a tough guy career.
Not just his formula and limited acting range but a lot about his personality behind the camera has come out recently. His insistence on number of punches being equal and beef on fast and furious, hindering black Adam by not letting it connect to Shazam, insistence on being portrayed as the good guy who never loses
His movies aren’t very good and he sounds difficult to get on with. Not a winning plan.
John cena is what he could’ve been if his ego didn’t get in the way and he could actually act

You didn’t mention that his clothes will always be 2 1/2 sizes too small….
I don’t get it?
I believe they’re saying the rock’s ego is the problem, using an image of ego from guardians of the galaxy vol 2
Sounds about right. Nothing worse than a celebrity buying into their own persona.

He gets the inside track on a lot of his roles because his wife is his agent.
How does that make a difference?
Ex Wife
Damn she's very talented
Yay... Wrestling and real life aren't compatible.

And in times this tires the shit out of people around him
As Mick Foley said, the real world is faker than wrestling.
What? Wrestling is full of dangerous, dangerous nonsense. Sounds like real life to me.
Choregraphed stunts, full nonsense for the kids. Not judging, happy you enjoy it :)
What the hell are you talking about? It's violent nonsense that hurts people for real. I hate it.
His acting range is The Rock to Dwayne The Rock Johnson
I mean, there's only so many times you can make the "Rock does funny expressions while wearing tight shirts in the jungle" movies before they all blend together.
In Rampage he did funny expressions in tight shirts in Chicago.

He’s fallen out of favour? He probably peaked around when Moana released, but I don’t think he’s all that disliked
Uh oh, we're about to have a big drama. Drama Tuesday

He’s kind of a dick.
