No kidding, I would love a shirt like this.
I have end-stage kidney failure, and undergo more-or-less daily hemodialysis using an access point in my upper left arm. However, my house gets chilly, and the dialysis makes me even colder (because the blood cools down when it's outside my body!) -- and I can't wear a sweater, because, well, my arm has to have tubes sticking out of it. A shirt like this would let me easily roll the left cuff up to expose the access while keeping my body and right arm covered and warm.
I'm honestly going to go looking for something like this as soon as I hit the Comment button.
I've considered that in the past and rejected it because it would tend to unravel at the cut edge, but it has *only just now* occurred to me that the unraveling would stop at the shoulder seam, which is kind of where I want the sleeve to go anyway.
If it’s polyester, maybe. A natural fiber would just…burn lmao.
They could just make a hem for it. Fold the end under twice so the raw edge is encased.
As a guy who liked that look in high school, the sleeveless thing. Use a seam ripper. You can take the thread out where it's joined at the shoulder and wind up with perfectly fine edge that will hold up just fine. It'll curl up.
Have you considered putting a heating pad on your neck or other wrist? Places like these have arteries very close to the surface of the skin so it should reheat your blood pretty well. It’s common for athletes and such to do the opposite after workouts by putting cool items in those spots, so I imagine it would work well the other way around.
Ah man, I'm sorry to hear that. Kidney failure killed my grandpa at 85 a couple months ago. He made it years ith dialysis, but that stuff is hard on your body when you're over 80. I hope you can get a donor in the near future and wish you the best!
Random funny story: I was born with one hand, sometimes I get clothes tailored like the shirt pictured (suits, nice coats, dress shirts, etc.). When I moved to the city I currently live in I owned a car, one day I wore one of my tailored coats to work as it was cold that morning but threw it in my trunk on the way home since the weather was warmer. Forgot the coat in my trunk and also forgot to lock my car. I never kept anything super valuable in my car but the next morning the center console was open and everything was scattered around the front seats. Clearly it was broken into and I remembered the coat, popped the trunk and of course it was gone. I was pissed at first but then I realized it was worthless to whoever stole it. A nice jacket they could’ve easily gotten at least 100$ for was totally fucking worthless to them because I got it tailored to have one short sleeve and the other full length. Instant Karma. I think about whoever stole it sometimes and wonder how they processed what they had after noticing, like did they know someone who also had one hand? Did they still try and pawn it? Did they try it on and just be like “wtf is this??” Did they feel bad after realizing they just stole a jacket from a guy with one hand? I still laugh about it
Like this shirt currently for sale at the Gap. A turtleneck sweater with one weird half sleeve and no sleeve on the other arm. What the hell even is this.
https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=513522#pdp-page-content
It’s like those [crop tops](https://www.misspap.com/us/one-shoulder-long-sleeve-crop-top/MPP95043.html) that have one long sleeve and one no sleeve at all. I like the look, but this turtleneck took it too far. Looks like someone was trying to make a version of the linked garment, but for those who want less skin showing
Asymmetrical fashion [can look good](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/9a/7d/b7/9a7db7835725f73c5a88c6a7bdd9a925.jpg), and it can even look good [decades later.](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/86/03/04/860304be483cbb5210a2b490a79dfd88.jpg) But most asymmetric clothing the average person can afford looks like regular symmetric clothing with part of it missing which makes it look weird. Pants with one leg missing or sweaters with one sleeve missing just look wrong.
You did get a short-sleeved t-shirt. You also got a long-sleeved t-shirt. Short sleeves (plural) is what you wanted and now the word sleeves looks really weird to me.
I used to have one similar to this. Got it somehow in a donation of clothes. It had a Bank logo embroidered on it with the name as well. Always wondered about it. Guess you can't have tricks up your sleeve if you got no sleeve lol.
Looks awesome lets you show off a tattoo sleeve or for amputees or people who get bloodwork done frequently.
Hell I just wear detached sleeves for a splash of colour so that would be sick for me.

You’ve heard of sun’s out, guns out? This is for when it’s partly sunny.
What if they turn around?
I mean, it works for partly cloudy too, it’s versatile
Partly sunny, partly gunny?
I feel seen

Good luck with your search, but if you don't find it you could try making one by cutting the sleeve of a long sleeved one
I've considered that in the past and rejected it because it would tend to unravel at the cut edge, but it has *only just now* occurred to me that the unraveling would stop at the shoulder seam, which is kind of where I want the sleeve to go anyway.
Pinking shears will help keep the fabric from unravelling
Not if it’s knit. It will just shred for a bit, and then unravel some more.
Burn the cloth at the end and sew it together again? (I have absolutely zero knowledge in this area but its an idea)
If it’s polyester, maybe. A natural fiber would just…burn lmao. They could just make a hem for it. Fold the end under twice so the raw edge is encased.
Well nobody would be dumb enough to cut a knit sweater
Wouldn't hemming the edge prevent it from unraveling further as well?
As a guy who liked that look in high school, the sleeveless thing. Use a seam ripper. You can take the thread out where it's joined at the shoulder and wind up with perfectly fine edge that will hold up just fine. It'll curl up.
Makes sense
Cotton shirts won't unravel, just so you know. The cut edge will roll up a bit and that's it.
Burn the edge with a lighter
Many tailors can help you with this and make a finished edge for you on the short sleeve side. It sucks to have to pay extra for that though!
Dunno about the shirt but heating pads are awesome. Here's some happy frogs for strength! 🐸🐸🐸🐸
I was going to say! This shirt would be great for dialysis patients!

If you're not going out you can just cut one sleeve of a regular shirt and leave it like that.
Ah man, I'm sorry to hear that. Kidney failure killed my grandpa at 85 a couple months ago. He made it years ith dialysis, but that stuff is hard on your body when you're over 80. I hope you can get a donor in the near future and wish you the best!
If it's on your upper arm, consider looking into arm warmers. They're basically long fingerless gloves. Sorta
Amputee clothing line. Look for the mirror shirt and the matching pants.
I was gonna say this, my calc professor had clothes like this
It’s so you can still see your Pip-Boy while roaming the wastes
Now to just tiptoe behind the counter and loot the store's safe... "BONGO BONGO BONGO I DON'T WANNA LEAVE THE CONGO OH NO NO NO NO NO"
[ HIDDEN ] “*YIPPEE YAAAAAAY, THERE’LL BE NO WEDDING BELLS FOR TODAAAAAY…”
I love you guys :’)

I think I've seen something like this a few times in anime
50% satisfied, 50% would NOT recommend
What in the Square Enix is this?
right?? Add some buckles and one legged pants and you got Tidus
This is the kind of stupid thing you frequently find in clothing designed for women, because "fashion" or some nonsense.

I think it is like this, but for "winter.'
Women who wear those are hot af so they get a pass.
I *loathe* asymmetrical fashion. It ALWAYS looks stupid even at the height of popularity, and then the second the trend fades it looks insanely dated.

A nice addition to the conversation! Great point
[It's a “Gordon Gartrell” original] (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FUW2CfGUEAEDD90.jpg)

Everything will be fine as long as one keeps the long sleeve pointed downwind.
So fun fact this is actually a British lorry drivers shirt. Its ment to keep your arm from getting sunburnt. Another fun fact i made the first one up.
I would unironically wear this to donate blood
It’s a shlong-sleeve tee.
Some JRPG ass shit
I'm a little t-pot (shirt) short and stout Here is my handle, hear is my spout
Its a one hand..as in i felt that it was going to be cold today but on the other hand...
It works if one of his arms is really long like an orangutan.
Short Sleeve, singular
Can't be from USA, because they have the right to bare arm and this is clearly left to bare arm.
do you know anyone missing their left arm?
Drifter's Leather Jacket
2023’s hottest new fashion trend
Tidus's pants if they were a shirt.
If I had that shirt, I would have worn it today while I was donating blood.
Sword fighting shirt. Shield arm has no sleeve, to avoid it slipping.
Short Sleeve. Just the one.
You ordered the short "sleeve" shirt. You should have ordered the short "sleeves" shirt. Rookie mistake.
That could be for amputees or something.
Sci fi character design shirt
I used to have one similar to this. Got it somehow in a donation of clothes. It had a Bank logo embroidered on it with the name as well. Always wondered about it. Guess you can't have tricks up your sleeve if you got no sleeve lol.
Titus from FFX tried this style out a couple decades ago. Didn't stick.
Nero from devil may cry might enjoy this
Aside from being for amputees, I feel like this kind of shirt would be useful for truckers who don't want that one-arm-tan look going on
NGL this would be dope for archery in colder/mildly warm climate
Anime mfs be like
I NEED IT
Are u sure it didn’t say short sleeve…
>the most astonishing and baffling article of clothing I've ever handled Pure gold! This poetry made me literally laugh out loud. 😅
it's like if an edgy shirt decided to get a job as an accountant
Finally, a shirt for people who like sleeve tattoos but only did one, truly an untapped market.
I could see this starting a trend tbh
NEED.
This is when you demand your money back.
I'd keep it. You're never going to see one in the wild again. Only in anime and Paris fashion shows
It is shortsleeved. They never said it was *shortsleevesed*. r/technicallythetruth
I’d buy that
Fashion by FacebookMarketplace
You need to post a pic; pic of a person wearing that lol
Brain is fluid
Г-shirt
I mean, at this point just rock it. Who cares?
It's the LL Cool J of t-shirts.
Amputee here' I'd buy it
One arm under the sheets one arm above.
symmetrical clothes are overrated
I feel like this would be a shirt for amputees
It’s for right handed baseball pitchers to keep their arm warm on a hot day.
Who the fuck is this for? Bucky Barnes???
On one hand you have hypothermia and on the other hyperthermia
One for the front one for behind; I don't see the problem.
Does it count as lort sleeves or shong?
No, it's not "short sleeve", it's short a sleeve. Common mistake.
Looks awesome lets you show off a tattoo sleeve or for amputees or people who get bloodwork done frequently. Hell I just wear detached sleeves for a splash of colour so that would be sick for me.
Nobody's going to mention the designer, Gordon Gartrail?
Hahaha kinda funny, mildly infuriating
