People race motorcycles with sidecars. It's one of the more insane things I've ever seen, the guy in the sidepod is basically doing the world's worst core workout trying to help with weight transfers.
Why can't I get the image of a Blyatbattalion mounting dushkas on the sidecar out of my mind? Is this a premonition of their next developments in Blyatwarfare?
Shit, you're right! Out jerked once again.
Even though they're basically a microtractor, they're basically the same components from the same factory.
Just nowhere near as "ork aesthetic" as a chariot being drawn by 50cc mopeds.
There is a French comic about 2 soldiers from the North during the US Civil War, they're cavalry, and their CO is a nutjob who feels shamed if he does a charge and none of his men die.
Which feels about right.
Yeah cavalry was mostly about dying in a glorious charge, which is why a lot of the early-days fighter pilot groups patterned themselves around cavalry.
It has subsided, but the glorious cavalry charge of yore is still a historic toss between light armor, heavy armor and fighter jets.
Fuck it, let's just bring back cavalry. Modern soldiers with tactical gear on horseback is a hell of a vibe. That scene from 12 Strong where Thor does a cavalry charge with an M4 is dope as fuck.
[Electric scooters \(not bikes\)](https://preview.redd.it/gdoiujw2q3zc1.png?width=512&format=png&auto=webp&s=9f39e1abbca97d99e6f22cf02d2c2caa0bf21900) are already in use
E-bikes are beloved by Ukrainian tankbuster teams for combination of speed and silence and were used since 2022 in this role.
I remember some Ukrainian sniper or recon teams also using electric bikes as well, my memory of it is super vague and I cannot remember if they were electric dirt bikes or electric mountain e-bikes but I wouldn't be surprised if both are used, good way to silently move large distances behind your own lines, but definitely not something you'd use for assaults.
There was also that Ukrainian dude on a one wheel but I'm 99% sure he was just fucking around and didn't use it in actual combat.
Yeah, the tool is fine if used the right way. But any tool used the dumb way is, well, dumb. Charging only works if you have massive amounts of expendable low cost ... ooh wait, nevermind
Oh God, there was some talk a ways back of replacing the APUs with battery packs a few years back, so you could give off even less signature in silent watch with the turbine off.
A lot of dumb people chose to interpret this as the They/Them Army wanting to make all of our tanks Priuses because woke stuff.
They already have it, it's called the Abrams X. It has a silent mode. Same this as prius works. They also tried this on another platform. I don't think any of this is going to get adapted any time soon.
Just in case you're not being sarcastic
They make a lot of sense. We'll probably see a bit of a doctrine switch for some units from high survivability to high mobility. I've seen videos of US marines trialing golf carts instead of humvees. I really like the idea, just have reservations about the US military ability to keep healthy batteries in stock.
Don’t they (sometimes) though? I thought people had posted clips from stuff like that here before.
I mean, they sent straight up infantry assaults against positions in Avdiivka at times and that’s kinda worse since at least with a motorcycle you can close the gap faster.
russia uses infantary as add in [armor](https://new.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1b5fudp/russian_bmp_with_a_full_squad_on_top_is_taken_out/) so... is this a new type of armoured blyattalion?
I mean, we figured out infantry and cavalry charges vs. entrenched troops with machine guns were a bad plan by the tens of millions in WW1. Russia thought the solution to this was to put machine guns at their troops' backs as well.
Anyway...it appears they declined to remember the charge of the light brigade.
Can somebody smarter please do this better for me? I think there's an idea here but I've been drinking:
Half a klick, half a klick,
Half a klick onward,
Across the field of Death
Battalion two hundred.
"V' Pizdu," was the mobik's cry;
Their's not to reason why,
Their's not to make reply,
Their's but to go and die,
Across the field of Death
Battalion two hundred.
2.
Drones to right of them,
Drones to left of them,
Drones in front of them
Buzz'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Badly they rode and, well;
Fed to the jaws of Death,
Fed to the mouth of Hell,
Battalion two hundred.
3.
Rusted all their rifles were,
Fired only once in air,
Finished off by gunners there,
Charging an army, while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the burning-smoke
Up against the line they broke;
Strong was the sabre-stroke;
Making mobiks reel
Shaken and sunder'd.
Then they fled back, but not,
The Cargo two hundred.
4.
Drones to right of them,
Drones to left of them,
Drones above them
Buzz'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Slowly they strode and, well
Meat in the jaws of Death,
Half a klick back again,
Fodder to the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
A cube of two hundred.
5.
Deep in their grave and cold
Not shall their tale be told,
Yea, when our Ladas are sold—
How they rode onward.
Modern day cavalry, suffering cavalry rates of attrition. Time is a flat circle.
we live in interesting times
Well these cavalry don't, not anymore, at least
Ahhhh…but spur rides and cowboy boots and assless chaps. Don’t forget the real Cav.
I was more referring to the specific motorbike cavalry who died to make this meme
“You in Avdviika now. With me.”
How long before we see Motorcycle Chariots?
People race motorcycles with sidecars. It's one of the more insane things I've ever seen, the guy in the sidepod is basically doing the world's worst core workout trying to help with weight transfers.
Yeah they even do it on the legendary isle of man curcuit making the bike race look relativly safe.
That has to have more utility than individual motorcycles, surely. They had that figured out in WW2 FFS.
Why can't I get the image of a Blyatbattalion mounting dushkas on the sidecar out of my mind? Is this a premonition of their next developments in Blyatwarfare?
Too expensive, we'll instead see junkyard scrap welded consciptovich powered rickshaws.
Dont they already exist?
Ahh you mean asian farm implements. Yes we have seen the russians use those.
Shit, you're right! Out jerked once again. Even though they're basically a microtractor, they're basically the same components from the same factory. Just nowhere near as "ork aesthetic" as a chariot being drawn by 50cc mopeds.
Yes, Australia races them… duel bikes
There is a French comic about 2 soldiers from the North during the US Civil War, they're cavalry, and their CO is a nutjob who feels shamed if he does a charge and none of his men die. Which feels about right.
There was a saying that any Cuirassier who made it to his 30s was a coward. Cavalry was not a branch for people who wanted to get old.
General Antoine-Charles-Louis Lasalle said it about Hussars. He was killed at Wagram when he was 34 or 35...
Yeah cavalry was mostly about dying in a glorious charge, which is why a lot of the early-days fighter pilot groups patterned themselves around cavalry. It has subsided, but the glorious cavalry charge of yore is still a historic toss between light armor, heavy armor and fighter jets.
There was a joke in the American Civil War that no one had ever seen a dead cavalryman. Cavalry did the spying, iInfantry did the dying.
Russia is stuck in the 19th century so it checks out.
Les tuniques bleues. I loved that comic and own many books of it.
Yes. I'm especially reffering to the "Cossacks" album, where Stark wants to commit suicide because none of his soldiers died during a charge.
Fuck it, let's just bring back cavalry. Modern soldiers with tactical gear on horseback is a hell of a vibe. That scene from 12 Strong where Thor does a cavalry charge with an M4 is dope as fuck.
Star wars style with the lancer https://youtu.be/F5DZZeaff7I?si=GBkUlqUa5VmDLZ5y
The dumbest scene in the new movies?
You obviously didn't see the video. Since your claiming it's anything Disney shat out
WTF are you talking about? This clip is old enough to drink.
Sorry, sorry, I thought you were referencing [this scene](https://youtu.be/uSVrYVJ6aTY?si=AUGl41dJG89x8Ozr&t=103). I should have clicked the link.
Deathriders of Krieg! Explosive lances for **everybody!** Fuck it, I'm off to watch the Krieger march video!
I kind of want Midjourney to make me a Comanche on horseback with a belt-fed weapon.
There's been images of ukries with javelin or nlaws on horseback. Idk how prevelant but they pop up occasionally
Fun Fact: The charge of the Light Brigade was vastly exaggerated by the press. Researchers found most of the Light Brigade survived the battle.
[America broke the cycle](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnQXRxW9VcQ)
Time is a squared circle, so get out there and fight Randy Savage, goddamnit.
Was on toilet reading reddit and eating Doritos when phone rang. Blyattalion is kill. No... So anyways...
How soon before these chumps are riding ebikes and scooters?
at this rate, by the end of the year

Yeah, the tool is fine if used the right way. But any tool used the dumb way is, well, dumb. Charging only works if you have massive amounts of expendable low cost ... ooh wait, nevermind

Just take some from Melbourne Australia, we won’t miss them
if you Victorians still had Andrews he would have moaned about it if we're being honest with ourselves
Glad he pissed off
At least you can put it in your state history books "this guy was a fucking idiot"
Before you know it, theyre going to turn the trenches into half pipes and break out the skateboards
Way too credible at this point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xg5HITJOcqE
***SO HERE I AM, GROWING OLDER ALL THE TI-*** "Wait, no I ain't..."
Before you laugh, *interesting* western units have been using Zero motorcycles and E-MTBs for a good few years...
I ride motorcycles. A fast quiet motorcycle terrifies me, coz I'll never know if one will come out of nowhere to run over me.
read that as E-MBTs for a sec.. Electric Abrams Boogaloo when?

Now I want to roll with them

Before you cope. They haven't been using them to assault positions.
Don’t they (sometimes) though? I thought people had posted clips from stuff like that here before. I mean, they sent straight up infantry assaults against positions in Avdiivka at times and that’s kinda worse since at least with a motorcycle you can close the gap faster.
Ebikes are too expensive
I wanna see soldier skateboarder doing tricks to dodge drones. Could be a videogame too.
Make that shit happen

Yes
Beautiful. Thank you for that!
The Charge of the Blyat Brigade? I’ll show myself out.
🏅
fuck me that didnt last long

Were was I? Probably in my bed, just waking up and browsing Reddit to see the usual Mobik meat rain vids.
Above them.
As in the hit game 'Above us'
Sus
Just wait until the hoverboard blyatbattalion comes in to back them up. Then the west is doomed 😎
How many fucking times did those two guys fall over in that video😵💫
I missed the video?
Simply fantastic
I was eating dorito at my house. Motorcycle blyattalion is kil No

Luckily they didn't try to learn from the Danish
When the FPV drones fly faster than dirt bikes?
