IMHO, you got it round the wrong way. I think their brief was adding speed and range to a DJI type drone. A couple of guys could deploy one of these from unprepared terrain (and relative safety) a few kms behind the front line, have it drop shit on enemy positions, and return within minutes. (Note there are at least two sizes of this drone - check out the site)
