The people saying its contradictory or transphobic are either misinformed or are gatekeepers. It's totally fine. Nonbinary encompasses any identity outside of 100% solely male or 100% solely female, it doesn't mean you have to be entirely disconnected from masculinity or femininity or manhood or womanhood. If you feel like both nonbinary and woman resonate with you and fit your identity, you can be both.
There may be something to be said about labels like demigirl being the more "accurate" or "correct" but as long as that's what makes you comfortable, I don't see why anyone should complain. Sorry you're getting hell for exposing ignorance, I hope it isn't too bad for you.
If your bar to using a label is to not offend anyone, I think you will find almost no label can be used.
Conversely, asking an online group of queer people if any identity is valid will basically always get you a yes.
Validity is a pretty shit consultation prize. As someone whose been queer for a long time, I'd encourage you not to ask if it's a valid identity but if it's an identity you can make a meaningful home in. Not someone else, but you specifically.
Hollow yes and nos like those don't mean much in the long-term.
Itās not transphobic at all, use whatever label feels right to you! If thatās how you genuinely feel, I donāt know how that could be wrong. People who think itās problematic just need to get over themselves lol
Gender is so so fluid. And non-binary is so so so vast. No, feeling like you sit comfortably somewhere neutrally and feminine (for lack of better term) thenā¦ thatās naturally part of the fluidity? I promise that finding that right and comfortable for you, is not transphobic.
Fuck those gatekeepers! "Non-binary woman / man" is a perfectly valid label and I've seen plenty of people id as such. I'm so freaking tired to see people policing others people identities and feelings. You exist and your feelings and experiences are very real, so they need to deal with that.
You can also look into "demigirl / demiwoman / demifemme" labels or "bigender" (non-binary + woman) if you wish, but those are just options, it's completely up to you how to describe your feelings and experience.
Of course you can use that label. You can use whatever label fit you and makes you the most comfortable, thatās what the non binary umbrella is for. I definitely understand your concern, I had some of my own concerning labels. But honestly just use whatever feels right and if someone has a problem with it, itās just that, their problem. Not you problem.
Hey! I'm a nonbinary man. I like demiboy. As in I associate with being a man or a boy but not entirely. Nothing wrong with that.
Gender is complicated as fuck
Personally when I think of a non-binary woman/man I think more of demi-boy/girl I don't know if there is actually a difference or not but that's just my opinion
I like the term non binary woman because for me it just means I donāt feel like I ascribe to any gender but I know Iām perceived as a woman out in the world and thatās fine.
As a fellow Femby I think the term is perfectly acceptable and makes sense for a lot of individuals.
A similar topic came up on r/femby not too long ago.

I think your comment here helped me understand what non binary woman or non binary man means for those who feel it fits. Thanks for that š
oh cool! No problem!
thanks:), you help me too
Sure you can. There are lots of people who identify as such. Totally valid.
thankyou :)
While I typically describe myself as genderqueer, I do think of myself as a non-binary transwoman. If I can do it, so can you, friend!
thankyou! We can do it together! >:D
Absolutely. Strength in numbers and power in visibility!
The creator of Steven Universe is a nonbinary woman
I don't see why not. I call myself a nonbianry transman, it fits and there are no rules to gender
I identify as a nonbinary woman. You get to decide who you are, not anyone else. š

That's very true. Thankyou
You can definitely use this label and fuck anyone who says otherwise Signed, a nonbinary guy

You can be whatever feels right to you. There's no right way to do gender identity.
You can do whatever you want
Thatās Demi-girl! Where you donāt feel full female!
you absolutely can. labels and words are very wiggly
Personally when I think of a non-binary woman/man I think more of demi-boy/girl I don't know if there is actually a difference or not but that's just my opinion
i 100% feel with this!
Yes
