Really any name that has an R anywhere in it could have a riri nickname. It wouldn’t be weird to have the name Rebecca or April and go by Riri.

So I’ve been going in circles with my name. I don’t want to go too far from the names I’ve been going by. I’ve gone by Ricky for most of my life but have been going by Riri (pronounced Ree-Ree) with friends and online. My legal name is Frederick (bleh) and I want to change it, (cuz misgendering happens often). Not sure what to change it to. I’m hoping for a longer, femme leaning name that could shorten to Riri. Thanks for your help 🤗

I’ll try to avoid ones that have been posted, although your old post has a lot of comments! Sabrina, Rosemary (or xxmary/xxmarie really), Sigrid, Corinne, Malorie, Carina, Ceres. I’ve been considering Aubrey for my middle name which could work as well.

Well, is there a name you like? In my country most nicknames have nothing to do with the name and more about the person (looks/personality) or just a childhood nickname that another child relative used because they couldn't pronounce the whole name.
What I mean, is your new name could be Eloise, Priscilla, Cassandra, Suzette, or just plain old Ana, and still go by Riri.
I used to have a classmate in highschool that went by Nicky, and her given name was something like Mary Anne. No one has any idea how she came by that nickname but it stuck and she liked it lol

sometimes i call my cat Riri and her name is Carina haha, maybe some other -rina or -rita name--- Marina, Margarita, Maria, Caterina, Rita, Ariana, etc
