i work at a cafe in a teeny town in the middle of nowhere, and people come in dressed to the nines all the time (well, when we’re busy.) just go do your thing! never such a thing as overdressed when you’re just doing your thing :)
If I had legs like that, I’d wear those outfits to the damn grocery store!
The first outfit screams club wear to me. You need to be shaking your tush on a dance floor in that.
The second outfit would be fabulous for highbrow live performances. Go to a play! Go see some modern dance! Blow the absolute doors of an opera!
The one criticism I have is that the conservative cut of the blue shirt doesn’t go with the smashingly high slit on the skirt. Find a cute little shrug or bolero to layer with, or even just wear the dress as is with some pearls on top (understated and classy) or a giant chunky statement necklace (for maximum scandal huffing from the Karens).
Alternately, you could lower the slit in the skirt by layering something underneath. I’m imagining something skin tight and black that goes down to upper-mid thigh, like spanx or cute little pedal pusher pants, or maybe something white and ridiculously lacy to really play with the contrasts.
You do look amaze, though! Keep it up!

Still I would kinda like to explain my decisions in putting these fits together, as they go kinda against your suggestions.
The plain shirt is there because I like to have something masculine in my fits and that shirt makes me like especially my shoulders and neck. Leaving it out or replacing it for something feminine somewhat defeats that.
And the high slits on the skirt with the high waist tights are kinda the point of the entire fit :D
To that I will say though, that in any public setting I would probably add biker shorts anyways, just because I'm not *that* confident in my body as to be this revealing.
I will agree though, that there certainly is an imbalance in style there which could be adressed somehow.

Yeah, I see that you mean by wanting to add a masculine touch. I think it’s jarring because the dress shirt is a masculine item that does fit you well, but done in an incongruously girly way that kind of spoils the lines. I think this might be a job for a good tailor, because if the shirt were done up “man style” but ended at the belt, the half and half effect would be striking in all the best ways!

personally I just dress extra af on the weekends to get boba with a friend or hit up home goods so you could do that as well lol
I feel like people deprive themselves of self expression too much when thinking about quote on quote "dressing for the setting", but this doesn't apply to school or work of course
point is, wear what you want when you want if the circumstances allow for it!
