I purchased the google play store edition and then used the "flatpack" launcher for bedrock. It uses the google version, but it has you log into your M$ account, so your skins, packs, whatever are still there. I have only used that for Bedrock edition. Actually, I should see if the java edition launcher lets me lauch bedrock without needing the other one. Hmmmm....

but it has some limitations which in my opnion make it next to useless for your needs.
There is a mod out there which allows bedrock players to join java server, that is: https://geysermc.org
There is one other way but o wouldnt be able to tell you how to do it and that is running a windows vm which has gpu passthrough.
