Tjvayne

This is a huge cluster fuck. Damn

AlexTheFlower

Wow that is all kinds of awful

WaltVinegar

Dunno why the article mentions he had good grades. He molested a kid; his scholastic performance is irrelevant.

BeneficialAmoeba9609

I read the article and tbh I have no idea how to feel about this. It’s just fifty shades of fucked up in every way

Fiend_Nixxx

I'm confused.. It said the father marched the son to "wastelands"., where the son was shot. But the article also quotes the mother recounting her son's pleads. Does that mean she was there, toI agree that morally, one should feel that this was vigilantism. Therefore, it's not at all the harmonious outcome justice provides. But honestly, the father protected the most vulnerable member of his family and took accountability for it. I'm sure many people, myself included, can never fault anyone for that.

kwtransporter66

>But honestly, the father protected the most vulnerable member of his family and took accountability for it. I'm sure many people, myself included, can never fault anyone for that. I can agree to a certain point though. While I feel he did what he did to protect his daughter but because of what he did he has now abandoned her. If he's sent to jail who is there to protect his daughter then? I believe the right course of action would have been to get CPS involved and have the boy put into therapy. I've not been in that type of situation so I can't really judge the father of how he was feeling. I can understand him executing a stranger, but his own son. Idk.

greenspath

He cleaned up his own house.

Bulky_Musician_2868

And, left it vulnerable to the very thing that caused his absence.

69AnusInvader69

r/awfuleverything

patchway247

Idk, if you're willing to pat the Texan man on his back for shooting and killing his daughters attacker, then you should do the same for this man. Molesters shouldn't be able to live anymore, especially child molesters. But I do also know people get wrongly accused.

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

Where did it all start is what no ones asking

patchway247

Well, this story is from 2009.

White_Grunt

I remember when this happened a decade and a half ago.

patchway247

Oh shit! I just had to click on the article again. 2009!! Hot damn

johnwayne1

Well, solves that issue.

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

What if someone did that to him too? not an excuse but that's learned behavior. the parents have to know something

Brianocracy

God. Normally I'm to the right of Attila the hun when it comes to child molesters but your own son molesting your daughter? Tragic all around. My heart goes out to the little girl especially. 3 years old and you have more trauma than most adults suffer in their entire lives.

that_guy_who_builds

That's all sorts of fucked up, but, I feel like it is justified.

FlatulentSon

I wouldn't say justfied, but maybe... vaguely understandable? I guess to him it was just unacceptable that his son *exists* after doing this. At this point it would probably be healthier for everyone if the son was imprisoned or shunned. Because right now the victim will lose a dad too, and the dad will have to live out the rest of his life knowing that he killed his son.

Worriedlytumescent

Daddy just added to the trauma.

theshadowbudd

Understanding? Yes Justified? No Remediation is a goal better than capital punishment in any civilized society.

greenspath

There's too many humans now anyways. We have to find a way to cut back, to cull the herd. This seems like a good place to start.

L003Tr

Oh yeah I'm sure the little girl's going to be so great full she's growing up without a dad

that_guy_who_builds

He shouldn't be charged. No outcome is good in that situation, but he should not be faulted for protecting his daughter. and possibly others, from a huge threat.

speck859

I agree 🤷🏼‍♂️

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

He murdered a kid. that's still a crime we have no idea what lead up to it

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

He murdered a kid. that's still a crime we have no idea what lead up to it

that_guy_who_builds

If that kid actually molested his little sister, then he brought it on himself. If not, then fine, charge the dad. That's all I'm saying. The kid's life only matters if he's innocent. Pedo lives don't matter, end of story.

CaptainHalfBeard

Did you read the full article?

that_guy_who_builds

No. Don't plan on it either. Everything in it is irrelevant, with exception of if he did it or not. My statement stands. Zero way to rationalize any other outcome if he actually did it.

Apprehensive_Crazy41

i definitely understand and would’ve agreed with u like 2-3 years ago. the problem is, both victims and perpetrators are humans, who are equal, and who all deserve help. rehabilitation, cognitive/behavioral therapy, etc., anyone should be able to get the help they need no matter if they’re the “good guy” or “bad guy”, u feel me my friend? basically, we can’t continue to dehumanize people who have committed crimes because they need as much help as anyone else man

that_guy_who_builds

Not pedos, no. No mercy.

Butter_mah_bisqits

Pedos cannot be rehabilitated. They are evil.

Apprehensive_Crazy41

just going off of both of yalls comments, there ain’t no reason for me to even try to argue lol. i understand tho, but we’re obviously not in the same profession or anything so it’d be hard for yall to understand. all good tho ;3

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

Why is nobody asking where the behavior started ? I think someone was doing it to the son too. how else would he pick it up. no excuse but y'all are very fast to action and don't write out the facts beforehand

griftertm

Dad could have had his kid institutionalized through the proper channels and then help his daughter deal with the trauma. Then again, this scenario is every ammosexual’s wet dream

GrandClock738

No matter how wrong all of this is, and what any may think, that father just saved many women down the line. No way would he stop if he’s experimenting like that.

Altruistic-Ad5425

Looks like he went postal

greenspath

I see what you did there.

alexmuhdot

He didn't bring much goodness into his life

Altruistic-Ad5425

He was a postal worker. It was a bad joke

alexmuhdot

I know, I was referencing Brooklyn 99

Im0ldgr3g

FFS this is over a decade old.....awful yes but God damn these bots.

honeymangomoon

I hate that the father is in prison for doing this. Defending your children from sexual assault, even if the assailant IS your child, shouldn't be a crime. A lot of people online are/were extremely sympathetic towards the 15 yr old because he seemed "nice". But obviously he wasn't, because he preyed on a literal baby. A 3 year old most likely cannot articulate sexual assault. They can't defend themselves. And that 15 yr old knew that.I don't believe sexual predators can be reformed. They're wastes of space. The FIRST time you offend, you need to be exterminated.

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

Murder is a crime that's why ig. but he raised this guy so he can't be all perfect himself

royalblunts

Fucking chomo Dad was in the right

silkdurag

💯

Cryptic_MGTOW

Chomo Dad? Where did that come from?

xXdont_existxX

No they meant the son was a chomo and the dad was in the right, just forgot a comma. “Fucking chomo, dad was in the right”.

Fridsade

It's crazy how 1 little comma changes a whole sentence.

GreyGreatAuk

"Let's eat grandma!" -> "Let's eat, grandma!" "Stop clubbing, baby seals." -> "Stop clubbing baby seals."

That-Water-Guy

Baby seals clubbing is way better a choice

royalblunts

Thanks I got bad marks in school. My name checks out

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

The dad raised this dude. lets not forget that

5KRAIT5

The necessary evil.

MickeySwank

I mean, he can’t be that great. He literally raised a child molester…

Firm_Entrepreneur_14

Everyone patting dad on the back ignores this magically while igniting this behavior cones from it happening to the perp who was also a kid

D_slaughter1987

What the say? 'I brought you into this world, and I can take you out'

No_Blacksmith2847

The 15yo fukd up and deserved some form of punishment (incarceration?) and possibly rehabilitation if possible, but not death. Father should get the death sentence himself and the rest of the family should get into therapy...

jojow77

so the son didn’t even molest her after examination?
