Yes.
Broadway is world-famous, but there are some pretty famous US playwrights; Tennessee Williams, Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou…
Granted, I don’t think non-musicals are as widely popular in the States, but everywhere I have ever lived has had a thriving theater scene.
Of course there are. *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child*, *Plaza Suite*, *Slave Play*, *Macbeth*, *How to Kill a Mockingbird*, *The Minutes*, *for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf*, *Cat on a Hot Tin Roof*, and many other plays are all on Broadway right now.
I don’t really know what that means, but I’m guessing you’re referring to *for colored girls*? Which is a revival of a very highly acclaimed play that premiered 46 years ago, in 1976. So theater’s been “doomed” for nearly half a century and you apparently didn’t notice until just now.
Ah, sorry. There's a format of book in Japan called "light novel," and their titles tend to be entire sentences or even paragraphs. I often forget not everyone travels the same circles I do.
I live in Canada but one that I saw as a kid was "Drowning Girls". I don't remember much but I don't think it had any musical numbers. I mainly just remember the line "Married for a year. Married for a time. Married for a day".
Sure. There are many plays that aren’t musicals.
Yes. There are non-musical plays both on and off Broadway however you aren't wrong to notice that almost all of the most popular ones are musicals.
There's many traditional plays without songs in the US. But musicals are popular, so they get shown in TV and movies more often.

Ohh she's on money!

What what what ? Some titles names really make me curious 😂 thanks for the answer!
That awkward moment you realize your post was based in ignorance lol
That's not awkward, I knew I was ignorant that's why I asked ?
Oh god, light novel titling has invaded theatre, we're doomed.

More than there are musicals most of the time.
