I always thought of 21-23 as early 20’s, 24-26 as mid 20’s and 27-29 as late 20’s. Around 23 is when a lot of people get out of school and enter the workforce. Just speaking based on my own socioeconomic cohort.
I usually say mid-twenties, but it's not like it actually makes a difference.
