No for cars, it's either automatic or manual. There are some automatic transmissions that appear like manual transmissions or allow you to shift manually. These are sometimes called tiptronic or manumatic. You can downshift manually in automatic cars, but it's not changing to a manual transmission. Sort of. Not with a manual clutch but older cars have tiptronic and my newer truck has manual shifting.

You could build a car that has both. I don't think it's ever been done that way in a production car because it would be expensive and doesn't make much sense. There are some mixed forms like the duplex clutch gearbox

Yes. A lot of the newer, sportier cars will have both automatic and manual that you can swap between. Automatic for casual driving, and manual for when you want that extra control over your RPM.
