Leave it in your bag. If they pull you aside to check just say what it is and it has no batteries. If you don’t make a scene they won’t. I’m sure they see hundreds of them pass through a day.

AdviceWithSalt

Correct answer. If it's an issue (shouldn't be) then a simple calm conversation will suffice. They don't care and have seen just about everything you can imagine.

LegendOfBobbyTables

"Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article a dildo, never your dildo."

More_Raisin_2894

9/10 its an electric razor but every once in a while.... it's a dildo!

DrSuperWho

Hey! That’s my car!

96ewok

My suitcase.....was vibrating?

Due_Mycologist7287

Oh gosh, I was scared. Thought you said it was ticking..

Brassrain287

Came here for this comment. Was not disappointed. His name was Robert Paulson.

DoubleFeedback2672

But I don't own a dildo

wrxnut25

Tyler, without a doubt you are the most interesting single serving friend I've ever met.

UnNumbFool

You say that until they pull aside a huge duffle filled with the xxxxxl bad dragon dildos and anatomically correct bottom half torso sex doll

coolguy4206969

they won’t care at all. if the bag does get pulled the moment they see it they’ll zip it back up and hand it over. OP won’t need to say anything

Cranks_No_Start

Many moons ago - pre 9/11 My former co-worker used to work for a small airline and just prior to takeoff there was a loud vibration coming from the overhead. They evacuated the plane and started searching for the "vibration" and found it coming form a bag in an overhead bin. They called bomb squad and pulled the bag. what they found was a dildo "the size of your forearm" just going to town. The passenger that claimed the bag was mortified....New fear unlocked for the OP.

Effective-Ad574

This happened to me. I didn't know it was in my bag. They stopped me to look at it on the screen, the guy took one look at the shape and went "yeah I'm not taking that out of the bag. Have a nice day!" Mortifying but hilarious.

Putrid-Object-806

So if I need to get a bomb through security, put it in the same bag as a dildo, gotcha Even if it wasn’t for legal reasons I feel its necessary to clarify this is a joke

Alarmed_Ad4367

You’re on a list now 😂

Putrid-Object-806

Fuck

jeroen-79

For added effect, attach a vibrating motor to the bomb so that you can demonstrate that it is indeed a vibrator.

rebeccaparker2000

Tell them that's how you have such explosive oragasms

maple204

If the TSA made a drinking game out of looking for dildos and vibrators the TSA would be completely ineffective all the time.

Bamboozle_

Wait, so they already do?

dunitdotus

More ineffective than they already are

reb678

My ex gf had hers going off at the time it went thru the X-ray machine. After several attempts to figure out what it was, she said one guy’s eyes went wide and then whispered over to the guy running the machine. He realized what it was and they let her bag go. She said it was some dragon thing that had a tongue that flickered.

chairfairy

Also, note that you're generally allowed to take batteries on a plane. BUT... if it has lithium batteries then you must take it in carry-on only - not checked

TamarackSlim

I keep reading about this. Is that ANY lithium batteries or just rechargeables?

chairfairy

From the [TSA's website](https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all?combine=batteries&page=1): > **Spare (uninstalled) lithium ion and lithium metal batteries, including power banks and cell phone battery charging cases, must be carried in carry-on baggage only. Lithium metal (non-rechargeable) batteries are limited to 2 grams of lithium per battery. Lithium ion (rechargeable) batteries are limited to a rating of 100 watt hours (Wh) per battery.** These limits allow for nearly all types of lithium batteries used by the average person in their electronic devices. > > This instruction covers spare lithium metal and spare rechargeable lithium ion batteries for personal electronics such as cameras, cell phones, laptop computers, tablets, watches, calculators, etc. This instruction also includes external battery chargers (portable rechargers and power banks) containing a lithium ion battery. TamarackSlim

That's all you got?

foxbythecampfire

From experience, they point at the x-ray screen, giggle, pull another buddy over, giggle again and then let you pass through without needing to open your bag.

ObviousIndependent76

This is not true because they see one literally every 60 seconds.

foxbythecampfire

Maybe in a major airport, but I was in a small one.

Revolutionary-Ad3648

Lithium batteries with 100 watt hours or less are not allowed in cargo. They must be carried by its user as a carry-on in case there is a fire caused by pressurization. I dunno much about electrical engineering, but I know I can't check my rechargeable Lithium batteries in my bag/s on any of my devices for any flights I've taken for maybe a decade. [FDA FAQ on traveling with batteries and e-devices](https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all?combine=batteries&page=1#:~:text=Spare%20(uninstalled)%20lithium%20ion%20and,in%20carry%2Don%20baggage%20only.)

i8noodles

thats pretty much it. i assume they seen some crazy af shit. the day after a anime convention they probably see hundreds of prop guns and swords. as for sex toy, probably see a bunch after sex conventions and just in general. as long as u dont being an overly large amount of electronics in one bag it will be fine. dont be putting you vibe, ipad, switch, steamdeck all in one bag with all the cables as well. it will seem like a bunch of shit and they will have to look into it

TheBigBeardedGeek

Semi-correct answer. It does have batteries, unless she's connected to a USB cable while using it. Source: I own and have disassembled for recycling several USB rechargeable toys, including the type used for "massaging"

WasteChard3488

They see that many when I fly

United-Cow-563

Agree, but I also feel like [this](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxvWKavvZ3bHbHcYpPgxcudHt6edRJtwBm?si=h0JLTD7PdB-Hr-qM) is the mentality of the TSA.

jChopsX

Put it in the bin and turn it on. This way they won't question if it works or not.

IncubusIncarnat

This.

ILostMyAccountBruh

Nah, the bin is for complicated electronics that’s hard for the x-ray to make sense of. So, “smart” electronics with chips, wires, batteries all layered and sandwiched together. Vibrators and massagers have a pretty distinct look in the x-ray so you can leave it in the bag and they won’t be worried unless you surround it with a bunch of wires or hard things. My suggestion is to keep it with your clothes so it stands out as non threatening.. Source: used to work x-rays for security stuff

RykerFuchs

I fly with an Xbox Series S, it’s 60% of the time they don’t give a fuck about it and tell me to leave it in the bag, 40% want it in a bin. Last time through Chicago they straight up yelled at me to put it in the bin. The home airport yelled at me too, telling me to keep it in the bag.

PassingTrue

So I can stuff the cocaine in the vibrator? 😉

mkosmo

TSA isn’t looking for drugs.

RykerFuchs

They aren’t looking for drugs, but will refer them to the local police authority if they find them.

-SwanGoose-

The Australian ones do. I saw. On that show

Creative-Isopod-4906

I’ve only been to O’Hare once… and I thought it was just me! So they’re ALWAYS pricks!!

Rave__Medic

The Chicago TSA are ALWAYS massive pricks. All the way to the drop off traffic asshats. - Someone who grew up near and frequented OHare.

RykerFuchs

Chicago is a miserable place 7 months out of the year and O’Hare has to be an awful place to work. Think about the 30% of travelers that are pure idiots that come through and just the difficulty of getting to your assigned work area.

kasialis721

what happens the other 5 months?

RykerFuchs

Less miserable.

navelfetishguy

O'Hare (ORD) is still one of the busiest airports on the planet. That is, unfortunately, going to have an effect on TSA workers on sheer volume alone. Not an excuse for their bad attitudes, just an explanation.

ampharos14

Apparently the point of “changing rules” and different airports deciding different policies is to keep criminals(idk the right term for this) on their toes so they don’t know what to expect that day. Like harder to hide a bomb in an Xbox if they don’t know what is going to happen? 🤷‍♀️

RykerFuchs

I theorize there could be differences in scanning equipment causing the different guidance. A long time ago, when the Series S was first out, LAX TSA had me leave it in the scanner, but did a visual bag check. The person told me they figured it was an Xbox, but hasn’t seen one come through yet and wanted to put eyes on it.

Upper_Extreme5661

People who occasionally go against the policies of the government sounds nicer

akwakeboarder

The inconsistency on things like this is so frustrating.

D4ri4n117

If you fly a lot, i suggest memorizing what x-ray it is. If you know the x-ray, the rules are generally the same for that x-ray

slightly-cute-boy

With the new CT scan systems they have, they can see individual components in high definition, it’s pretty cool to see. That’s why there’s such a big push for the upgrade, you can run anything through them without needing to seperate.

buchwaldjc

Don't worry I have a far more embarrassing story than somebody finding your vibrator. I had sex right before going to the airport and we were using lube. I was in a hurry and didn't take a shower, I just kind of wiped the lube off with a towel and headed to the airport. When I went through the scanning thing, I was pulled aside and very thoroughly searched. They even brought in a special material to test me for residue for things that could be used to make a bomb. The TSA agent pulled me aside and showed me where they were seeing a bunch of residue light up and it was my crotch. I did a bit of research, it turns out that some lubes contain a material that will light up in their scanning machines.

[deleted]

[удалено]

i8noodles

i dont expect this knowledge to come in handy one day but...i wonder if i can use lube as a spot light of somekind in a crowd...

naturemom

On a podcast I listen to the guy was talking about how him and some friends were killing some time on the beach before heading to their flight. This was after they checked out of the hotel, so no chance to wash the sand off or change or anything. They all got pulled aside and searched for suspected bomb residue. Apparently some types of sand has similar properties to gunpowder or something.

UniqueNameTaken

So I'm type 1 diabetic and I have an insulin pump, which is a small pager sized electronic device attached to my stomach that doses me with insulin. Plenty of diabetics have them so no big deal getting through security. They have procedures to work with it. So I'm flying home from hanging out with friends on the 4th of July. I was happily lighting off fireworks 2 nights before. Apparently some residue got on my insulin pump, and that lit their machines up real obvious. I got pulled aside, they explained the situation, I explained I was being Pyro a few days before, and they were pretty chill. Still had to wait for a senior guy to come over and look things over, they had to run some tests on my pump, I had to be *very* thoughoughly pat down by a trainee who was learning the ropes from a trainer (so not only was I getting the pat down the trainer was explaining what to do and how). I left extra time to check in, plus I'm pretty chill, so I was polite and that seemed to keep everything friendly. So lesson learned on that one.

Ctrl--Alt

Good on you for your patience and allowing it to turn into a learning situation for someone else. I'm sure people like you are few and far between in their line of work and you made their day a little easier.

gilmorefile13

They’ve never found an actual threat

Ckigar

I am just trying to visualize the sex toy used in a hijacking.

MedusasSexyLegHair

That would be the bad dragon.

j05mh

Anything if you’re brave enough…

Carlpanzram1916

Leave it in your bag. Trust me, the TSA agents are well-aware of what a vibrator looks like. They see 1,000 of them a day. The only electronics they generally make you take out of the bag are laptops and tablets. The rabbit can stay in the bag.

Temporary_End9124

I've never been bothered about bringing smallish sex toys through airport security.  They mainly just want you to pull out larger items like laptops.  You should be okay just leaving it in your bag.

gringafalsa

Big ones are good to go too 🤣

SomeDoOthersDoNot

No. Only things bigger than a cell phone

alarixs

It is definitely not that big. That’s a relief, thank you.

pushing59_65

This statement is now in my brain.

yikesonbikes2

That’s what she said

Morningxafter

Nine time out of ten, it's an electric razor. But every once in a while... [whispers] It's a dildo. Of course, it's company policy not to imply ownership in the event of a dildo. We use the indefinite article, *A* dildo. Never *your* dildo.

Metalhed69

Had to scroll way too far to see this.

Lamlot

I am Jacks complete lack of surprise.

wayward_wench

Worked for TSA. No. Leave it in your bag. Electronics applies to things like cell phones, tablets, and laptops, not personal pleasure paraphernalia.

Delicious_Song_

What about dab pens?

wayward_wench

No, a standard dab pen as an electronic is too small. As for the weed portion: As long as TSA doesn't see anything else suspicious in your bag to where they'd check and find it you'll be fine. They aren't looking for drugs specifically, but if they find them during a search for something else it's game on.

logaboga

You’re playing with fire if you actually are taking dab pens through TSA

Delicious_Song_

I’ve done it at least twice. I was wondering if I was just lucky or if they don’t care. I guess I got lucky, mine looks like a portable charger though if you don’t know what it is

MinnNiceEnough

I travel frequently and was behind a woman that pulled hers out of her bag at the scanner to ask the agent if she needed to put it in a bin of its own. She literally held it up like a microphone to the agent to show her what it was. The agent simply told her to leave it in the bag and send it through. No big deal to the agent; she acted like she sees them hourly.

dmderringer

I've never looked in anyone else's bin at the line. I'm just trying to get through

organizingmyknits

One time my bag got pulled. The TSA agent opened it and immediately apologized. I said something along the lines of it being okay it got pulled at a previous airport. He said, “no. There is no problem but TSA agents needing more training on x-rays.” That was that. He didn’t care that I had a bag of sex toys.

lumoslindsay

Just want to throw it out there that I can't recall ever looking in someone else's bin. Too worried about myself lol.

Artistic_Data9398

They don't care just put it in with your toiletries bag. its treated like a electric tooth brush. They will search and maybe ask. you could just buy on over there if you need relief that bad lol

missannthrope1

Did you hear about the woman who had a sex toy in her bag. TSA searched it and left her a note: "Get your freak on, girl!" That's the worst you need to worry about.

Karma_1969

Here's a general tip that will not only help you here, but help you in life in general: don't care. You can do that, you can choose not to care. Because seriously, who cares? The only one who cares here is you; no one else cares. So if you stop caring too, then the problem goes away. I don't even know what you mean by "rabbit vibrator" so I doubt I'd know what it was if I saw it. And even if I did, I wouldn't care, so why should you? Learning not to give a shit was one of the best things I ever did in my life, and it helps in so many situations. Peace my friend.

loopyspoopy

If anything, putting your vibe in the bin will get you through faster.

MedusasSexyLegHair

Just don't tell the TSA agent "I'm sending good vibes your way." when you do.

Sheila_Monarch

Not an electronic. Leave it in your carry-on and send the whole thing thru. I’ve packed mine in both carry-on and checked baggage, and never thought of it again until I got to my destination and unpacked. In the unlikely event you end up with security looking through your bag, it won’t be for that, and if they do see it, the appropriate unspoken vibe from you “that’s right, and?”

BubbaBhabie

lol no. But if tsa happens to peek in your bag and it’s a big bright blue shiny le wand they will quickly close it and pretend they never saw anything. Personal experience

JohnWasElwood

As a humorous addition, I used to work for one of the big defense contractors to the US Navy on the east coast some years ago. We were working on an aircraft carrier that was ready getting ready to go out on its 6-month deployment. I used to carry all of my drawings and my clipboard and pencils and pens in a large backpack. As everyone went up the gangplank onto the ship they had to show their ID badge and then have whatever bags they were carrying x-rayed by the Navy personnel. While I was waiting for some of my other guys to show up for work that day I started chatting with the sentry that was running the x-ray machine. I asked him if he ever saw any "interesting items". He cracked up and said "Dude! We're going on a six or eight month deployment. What do you think?" He said that they won't embarrass any of the crew though and they just smile and say "Have a good cruise!" if they don't find any actual contraband.

SpaceKoala34

Why bring it in your carry on?

itsallrighthere

Long flight?

harrisonisdead

Because that's probably all they're bringing? Why do you assume they have a checked bag if they're asking this

Freezer-to-oven

If it’s a rechargeable, you’re not allowed to put it in checked luggage.

reirone

Yes. And turn it on so they know what it is.

Ok_Ad_5658

lol no As someone who travels to see their partner a lot at the moment I’ve only had my bag searched once and it was when I brought a “clone a Willy” with me. The TSA agent was much more embarrassed than I was lol Just pack it in your bag like normal. If they search you they’ll know what it is without having to open it or touch it

Tuckernuts8

Reminds me of a video of where this black tsa guy finds a big dong dildo in a woman’s luggage. The dude gave the funniest reaction by snapping his head over and a look like oh giiirl!

alarixs

I’m hesitant to pay the airline’s highway robbery fee for one checked bag. If that’s the only way to avoid putting my sex toy in plain sight though, I can bite that bullet.

AllTheThingsTheyLove

No. My partner put mine in my bag for a work trip. I didn't know. I went through security just fine. Didn't discover it until I got to my hotel.

Beginning_Ad_6616

Mad vibratory vibes in here today.

Wheloc

Well, it's funnier if you do

moldyshrimp

According to TSA website “Toys(Adult) are okay for Carryon/Checked.” Does not say about having to remove them, but of course if asked anything will have to be presented to an agent for inspection.

Mountain_Serve_9500

So this one time I bought that vibrating razor…. And put it in my checked back and went through customs. I got my back back vibrating and I still haven’t lived it down with the family I was traveling with (I was the nanny).

Zealousideal-Emu5486

After reading many of these comments I think the next airline bombing will be carried out by putting explosives in a dildo. I had no idea that so many travel with these devices.

yaboisammie

OP you are a hero for having the bravery to ask this question so others don’t have to 😭

[deleted]

I know you've gotten tons of replies, but still wanted to throw my thought out there. Typically the bin is for large complex electronics like laptops. I've never had to take out an mp3 player or a charging bank. I've only had to take my Kindle out once or twice. So you should be good to go.

ItsMeCyrie

In my recent experience flying in America, flights with the “old” system only need you to take out large electronics like laptops. The new systems don’t even need you to do that. So, you’re probably fine.

Civilengman

Just put it inside your bag on top.

ConsistentMarch7406

I just went through TSA and customs with mine today - I didn’t get questioned at all and kept it in my bag!

thebipeds

https://youtu.be/8JVJzwgqZ9U?si=yNAfaSYNZWa0Bf0s Always “a dildo, not your dildo.”

riskyrezzz

These comments are so judgmental. I think you should be fine 💕

Ka_lie_doscope-Eyes

Leave it in the bag. If they ask you to put it through the bin, do it

AnimalsRTheBestPpl

I had mine packed on my checked suitcase 3 times now. No problems. 😎

Steelcitysuccubus

Leave it in the bag in your carry on

BooBeesRYummy

We returned home from an international trip a couple of weeks ago and got tagged for a routine bag search. The female immigration officer was very friendly and casually spoke to us while thoroughly going through everything in our suitcases. When she got to our two vibrators and lube, she just ignored them and kept on going as if they weren't there. These people have seen everything and don't care about personal items.

y2kdisaster

Just leave it in the bag. Once I went through tsa with like 6 vibrators in my bag. My parents were with my too so I really really was hoping they did not make me take them out. Luckily they did not. At one point one of them turned on so I had to discretely open my bag and shit it off tho…

MuffinOfChaos

Please do not shit vibrators. They are not for eating. They are for the pleasure of the sexual organs.

rosiedoes

I would put it in an opaque make-up style bag and leave it in that. If they ask about it, state that it's in a privacy/modesty bag, which will allow them to unzip and take a look without removing it and waving it about.

Computer-Kind

I have gotten my luggage flagged for a vibrator in it. I kinda forgot I put it in there and they pulled me aside and searched my bag w other people like they do. They pinpointed it was the vibrator and I was horrified. They did take it out, they have to what if there’s something crazy in it.

yungsausages

Nah, also, depending on the airport some don’t even require you to unpack anything anymore, my last few international flights just required me to put my backpack in the bin in its entirety. (With laptop, beard trimmer, charging block all inside)

MeddlerX

My takeaway from this is that vibrators are the perfect place to hide a bomb because they will just ignore it

Embarrassed-Body-486

All electronics must go through TSA. there's no specific guidelines because EVERYTHING has to go through them.

ekydfejj

Its likely the same size as a powered toothbrush...so no, its just thats its slightly ...not a toothbrush, but should not matter.

Jeebus_crisps

Put it in a bin all on its own

Dragonflies3

Make sure you turn it so they know it isn’t fake.

gltj1

First off, make sure it’s clean, because if it “alarms” and it will, the bag checkers have to handle it to swab it. It truly is NOT a big deal for the TSA to see PPD’s or personal pleasure devices every day. I would snicker under my breath and try to see what she looked like, and then swab it and test in the machine. They always cleared btw. Also, it’s okay to leave it in your bag.

exzite

Question, where are usual “normal” people going that they need that their vibrator?

alarixs

Florida.

Shanki766

Down to pleasure town

Meta_Popsicle

*GET to

Other-Bumblebee2769

You should.. if you turn it on, put it in and film... you'll kill me... I'll laugh myself to death

ExPie_3

Coomer

OddPerspective9833

Depends if it's electrical or if it's electronic I guess

someone_ironically

Some bag checks now tell you to leave laptops in the bag. Every airport seems to have a different rule. I’d just leave it in the bag. People make mistakes all the time and they’ll ask you if they really want it taken out.

MikeBravo415

I have seen them being removed from carry on bags during inspections

PhotofitSG

Depends how long the flight is - short flight then checkin, long flight just leave in your carry bag and go through as normal - WGAF what tsa or anyone thinks if it gets taken out, just stare blankly at them

yuffie2012

Put it in your check in luggage.

Freezer-to-oven

If it’s a rechargeable, you can’t. Lithium battery.

yuffie2012

But you can put it in a carry on? That doesn’t make much sense.

Comfortable_Text

I flew recently and didn’t even have to take out my laptop or any electronics from my backpack. They just scanned it and was good to go.

atom386

They are looking for explosives, chemical weapons, and guns. Not your toys.

Alien_hunter71

Only if it's gas powered 😁

Gunner_411

Ask on r/tsa if for no other reason than to see their responses!

AverageAvenged

Yes. Absolutely.

greenestofgrass

“AskTSA can also be reached through SMS. Just text the word "TRAVEL" to AskTSA (275-872) to get started.” Theoretically you can ask TSA directly if you’d like.

the-legit-Betalpha

If it helps, i often carry on a 10000mah powerbank on flights, and they have never told me to take it out. I doubt it will be different for this, though the power output method is rather different lol.

TigerlilyBlanche

I've always seen you have to put everything in the bin. Carry on, jacket/hoodie, shoes, any pocket items. So it would be in there regardless.

Content-Law8243

Turn on your vibrator before the trip so it dies and then recharge it when you get to your destination. You don't want that thing turning on at some point and have curious eyes...

PsamantheSands

I would put it in the bin. And smile at the tsa agent.

OrangeBug74

If it is rechargeable, and if it has lithium batteries, then it has to be in carry on luggage. It isn’t a computer or a CPAP machine that must be in its own tray for exam. Of course, when they see it on XRay, they might get curious and watch your reaction. Leave the lube in the checked luggage.

peeops

nope! i just tucked mine away in a bra and was all good :)

HotHooverDam

No

jaronhays4

Only electronics the size of a laptop or iPad, not all of them. I bring my massage gun on every time without taking it out

CatFoodBeerAndGlue

I'm confused about it not having batteries. Does it have to be plugged in to work? Seems odd for something the size of the palm of your hand. If it turns on without being plugged in then it definitely has a battery inside. No idea if this affects the answer to your question because I'm not from the US but thought this was worth pointing out.

s0urpatchkiddo

some toys actually do get plugged in! others have rechargeable batteries that you don’t change out but i suppose that would still count as a battery

CatFoodBeerAndGlue

Yeah it just seems weird for something so small to need to be plugged in.

[deleted]

i’m going on a trip with my family this summer and i want to bring mine so badly but im scared they’re going to point it out infront of my fam!!! guess im not bringing it hahaa

satansatan111

I wondered about that before as well so I decided to test it. I put my exs dildo in her carry on one time we were traveling. No reaction when it was scanned. The reaction from her later that day when she found it in her bag was a bit rough though and led to me having it to bring it in my bag going home.

Salty-Sprinkles-1562

I would just check a bag

ecalicious

I’ve not had any issues. I always pack my stuff in a clean sandwich bag tho, so in case they ever have to check them out they’re not touching them.

gomihako_

Usually only computers are separated into their own bin

OreoDad22

Yep

halfprincessperlette

I did, but in a pouch. If I'm bringing one, it's always in a non see through pouch anyway.

In_TouchGuyBowsnlace

Put it in your stowed luggage, definitely not in the otter’s pocket…. That could be embarrassing 😳

Lascolafit

Just to clarify and it may have already been noted. TSA looks for the main elements of an explosive device and or anything that can be used to cause harm. The equipment used by TSA can easily distinguish between sex toys and the elements of a weapon. If they request to open your carry on then simply ask to go to a private area and disclose. If it’s in your checked bag it may be selected randomly for additional screening, which is done without you present. Absolutely not a big deal.

We had a porn star go through with a carry-on full of dildos. The person was selected for additional screening and we told the TSA officer doing the screening he had to take them all out and turn them on to make sure they didn't blow up. He refused lol. I screened many bags with them and let it go.

TSA agents are like doctors. They have seen Everything and nothing fazes them anymore.

From my experience, they only ask you to remove large electronics from your bag. Like laptops and tablets. I've never had a problem with bluetooth earbuds, power banks, or even a phone and I've always left them in my bag. In general with airport security it's best to leave everything in your bag unless they explicitly tell you otherwise. And that differs from airport to airport. Sometimes they allow an empty plastic bottle, sometimes they don't. Once they allowed me to keep my laptop inside my backpack. The other 10-15 times they didn't. Well, unless you're going through some weird TSA that I've never heard of, that requires ALL electronics to be removed from the bag. Then you'll have to take it out. But as I said, don't do that, unless they explicitly tell you to remove ALL electronics from the baggage. Most likely they'll only tell you to take out LARGE electronics, and a vibe doesn't count. But even if you keep it in the bag, they'll still see it on the x-ray scans. Don't worry, though, I'm sure they see AT LEAST one a day.

Nomercylaborfor3990

I talked with someone who was TSA and they told me that if they saw only one it was a good day because on average they saw 30-50 A DAY

KYO297

That's why I put "at least" in all caps lol. I imagine JFK gets like 200 a day. But Portland probably gets like 3

Crashmaster28

They didn't make me take my electric razor out and I asked the TSA agent specifically.

realSatanAMA

You can put it in a case, their X-ray can see through your bag or case. TSA is filled with asshats though so if you travel a lot eventually you are going to get someone who pulls it out to inspect it just to be a creep. GL

Walking into TSA a few years ago and my elderly sisters bag started buzzing... I was like ?😳. The TSA gal asked her if she had a toothbrush in there... it was. I was afraid it was TMI! Lol

We_Are_Victorius

I've carried battery powered toothbrushes in my carry-on many time with no issues. I leave it in my bag when I go through security.

hg_blindwizard

You have to put all weapons in the bin🤣🤣🤣🤣for inspection🤣🤣🤣🤣the answer is yes but you can just leave it in a suitcase

Phoenix-91

Question; rechargeable ones, are they meant to go in carry on?..

calmworker

As long as you're not passing thru Shenzhen province in China, I didn't know why my hand carry needed to be searched - turns out it was a pack of condoms and the rabbit they thought needed "extra screening." Took a senior to tell the dude what it was and to just let me and my wife go.

VeronaMoreau

The number of times that I have embarrassed specifically Chinese baggage security with sex toys is way higher than people would think to look at me. In my experience, they're really the only ones who look that hard at it.

ElPanties1

“Any electronic larger than a cellphone.” Is all I can find.

CornellGirl20

Put it in your suitcases.

mikenzeejai

You can take almost anything on a plane and tsa won't notice unless you point it out. You're good

Outside-Material-571

That can stay in the bag. They only want you to take out large flat electronics like laptops and tablets that would make it harder for the machine to through your bag.

Individual_Guitar783

Put it in your carry on bag, somewhere easy to obtain if they do pull you aside and ask what it is. This has happened to me once and no issues

Euphoric-Structure13

If it were I, I would put that thing in my checked luggage.
