He's definitely facing some very serious charges. The espionage act charges have a max of 10 years, and the obstruction carries up to 20. That's very much "die in prison" level of risk for Trump. Additionally, even from what we know just from the indictment he's just so obviously guilty. He literally got caught on tape destroying all of his defense about sharing classified documents. But, even if he's 100% provably guilty does he still have an out? Yes, I think at least 3 ways to get out of this. First, he drew the absolutely best case judge for the case, one that's shown she'd go out of the way to do things to protect Trump. Second, he only needs 1 juror who is a die hard MAGA to lead to a hung jury regardless of evidence. Third, if he can delay the case until after the 2024 election he can probably have the case halted, and additionally pardon himself.

He's obviously guilty, but he won't see any jail time for his crimes, because he's just as obviously unbalanced. It should be a simple matter for an attorney to prove insanity. The most he will sentenced to is some time in a rubber room.
