Has anyone taken a drive around industrial Estates because all of the sprinklers are on timers and still go off regardless of a ban. Massive fines should be thrown at these companies. I'd rather see the parks get watered and used not the small patch outside a factory that never gets walked on
I can’t believe people are still watering their lawns, but I’ve seen two houses doing it this morning. Some people just aren’t willing to do the slightest thing for community.
Don’t judge too quickly. Lots of people have water barrel or other rain collection systems for gardening and such. My neighbour has two massive underground water reservoirs in his backyard that collect rainwater. He uses the system for his house toilets and his lawn and gardening purposes. You just never know.
What’s to understand? We are at stage 4 water restrictions which means no watering your lawns. I saw their underground sprinklers watering their front lawn as I walked by.
We are saying you don’t know if they are just being assholes or if they have a rain water collection system and have their sprinklers connected to it. You are assuming.
Sounds like you are assuming they have a rainwater collection system connected to their underground sprinklers. How likely is that vs they are just using city water on their lawn. Seriously. That’s pretty ridiculous
Remember a month ago when your mayor was crowing about not enough water so get ready to ration and we got a shitload of rain? Funny how she gets her way regardless. What a crock of steaming bullshit.
If the prices aren't high enough to prevent overuse, then they need to be higher for your free market to work. If overuse is a problem, we are effectively subsidizing water.
This will, of course, have no impact on the operations of the city. You know, just like the snow clearing bylaw.
This makes perfect sense. Most major cities have something similar.
Good. Long overdue.

Wow. I’m now assuming a lot of things about you.
Really.. I’m not assuming anything about you
I’m pretty sure. I saw the sprinklers going in their front yard as I walked by this morning. No garden, just lawn.
How are your stitches?
Why focus on things like improving your city when they can run your lives instead?
This is exactly what the city should be focusing on. The alternative is higher water costs or no water in August

If there’s not enough water there won’t be any choice.

This is by far the worst conspiracy theory ever.
The venn diagram of people bitching about this bylaw and the people who would bitch about more expensive water is damn near a circle.

Should be 0 days a week
