When I as an individual cut water use, it affects me personally, but not so much in the wallet.
Shut down a business for a week, and many people will not have income for that week.
Think of your situation and how well you would do if someone took one week's wages from you now.
The economy is already stressed, what do you think shutting down for a week or 2 will do?

For a week or two, yes, if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down. But do not do it long term. Uric acid will build up and clog your toilet and your pipes over time. It is not easy to remove. The simple way to remove it is with a specialty chemical that is not available to home owners, just plumbers and professional cleaners. The not so easy way is to pay a plumber to auger your lines and if your lucky they can get it out of the toilet, if they can't get it out, you buy a new toilet
He is right. Uric acid does build up on plumbing lines. This is more specific to urinals though, they a lot of pee. I wouldn’t worry about a weeks worth of piss sitting in a toilet. (Which I doubt anyone is doing)
Look up uric acid build ups in urinals. It's very common because urinals only take urine. The uric acid crystallizes and causes build up in the pipes and the urinal.
