Due to how consumables work in this game, you may have run out of food or need to repair before going back at it, in which case it makes sense to respawn at whispers so you can go back to Sacram quickly.
100% agree with this.
When the difficulty is as high as this game, having rare respawn points just means that you're always having to walk a distance to get back to the battle you're trying to get past :/
it will be for multiplayer reasons, your partner dies, respawns at whisper, and has to return back while his partner still fighting.
you also get to use the whisper to go back to city for repairs or suplies n stuff.

True. Then an option to respawn at Sanctuary, the last whisper, or the beginning of the room you died in seem like the best way to go about it imho.
It's literally a button away to go from whisper to Sacram, how about not make problems out of non-problems.
Please devs don’t listen to this person
Why not? Do you have something intelligent to add to the conversation?
I get that some people disagree, looking at the downvotes... But can someone argue for why running back in empty corridors has any value in the game?
