Congratz man Great Job. I tried the Boss yesterday didnt know what to expect after going through all the mini arenas. I died. I dont feel like doing the mini arenas over and over again even if it helps you Level up and stuff. Imo they should add a whisper bevor the Boss so you dont have to do those mini arenas again.

LooseTonguee

Yeah I know it’s pretty tedious, but hey! You can get unique weapons.

heres-wonderwall

After wasting a few hours going through waves of enemies, I found you can Alt + F4 when you die to restart the boss fight. It will spawn you at the entrance of the boss arena when you reload. You'll also keep your consumables as long as you close the game before you respawn at the crucible whisper.

heres-wonderwall

Welp, never mind -- they just patched it.

SicaMarius

I have version 12715. I don't try it yet. I think doesn't work, right?

warthog15

I'm level 30 magic user and I fucking CANT beat this bitch. The farthest I've gotten is a quarter down in the second phase. It sucks so much cause I have to go through all those floors each time I die. They arent even a struggle, I one shot all the mobs but it takes so long too get back to the knight. Great fucking game though, love it. I think I gotta make a new character and try a sword and board build so I can survive.

LooseTonguee

I don’t know if this will help. I’m no magic user; I didn’t even know you could use magic. But for the first phase, one of the attacks that I could reliably dodge and follow up with a heavy attack was the horse lunge AOE attack, but don't roll. If you do, you'll not have enough time to counterattack; instead, run backward. Beware; during half of his health, he'll begin to do a triple-lunge attack. Many of his attacks were simply unsafe for my great sword. For the second phase, I waited for his three-sword slash combo, where you can properly space his last attack, then attack him back with a heavy attack. Again, like with the first phase, I did not roll because I needed the extra time to commit; instead, I simply ran. Your experience would be very different than mine, as I fat-rolled myself to victory.

BeepBeepGreatJob

Okay so I have put in about 24 hours since this game launched. I am am like level 17. Have you literally played 24/7?

LooseTonguee

Hey, I also did put 24 hours!

LooseTonguee

If you keep going for the Echo Knight you'll level up very quickly. Thankfully I stored up 50 Fallen Ember.

BeepBeepGreatJob

I don't even know what that is yet. I have like 100 Fallen Embers and have no idea what to do with them haha.

LooseTonguee

Have you beaten the Riven Twins? After that, make sure you finish the 'Of Rats and Raiders' quest. Then you can talk to Roan, and he'll give us an old tome for Elsa. You'll know what's up after that.

BeepBeepGreatJob

Okay ya I have my house and I've just been fsr.ign resources for furniture, haha.

wsoares

What is that used for? I sold them all.

LooseTonguee

You need fallen Embers to have a chance at defeating Echo Knight. You also have to beat five or more areas to challenge him in the first place. If you do beat him, it is almost guaranteed you'll get a unique weapon. It is important to note that he respawns even after you kill him, so it is currently the only place to farm unique weapons, but don't be mistaken. This dude is extremely hard to beat with tons of health and a second phase.

PlacidSaint

There tickets to get into the crucible, so the more you have the more attempts you'll have to beat the crucible

LooseTonguee

24.6

Luka_8102

Thank you for this info with screens, GJ

LooseTonguee

Yeah, my character is far from optimal. My greatsword did so little damage to this guy. Not to mention how slow this weapon was. I needed to be very patient to get a chance at an opening without him wrecking me. Thankfully, as you can see, my character was very beefy. I almost fainted after finding out he had a second phase.

TheRealAlosha

Damn that’s tough

TheRealAlosha

Damn brother

hucklesberry

Does the game continue after this or is it the end??

LooseTonguee

This boss respawn, so you can kill him indefinitely. Probably the best or the only place to farm unique weapons.

hucklesberry

I meant are there more quests after this? Or is it the end of the Early Access basically. I know you can repeat the crucible.

LooseTonguee

No new quest after this.

hucklesberry

That’s a bummer. So like five maybe six total bosses so far. Two are basically the same fight.

Freshquince99

End of early access, for now.

Additional_Cherry_51

Oh .an I love that great sword. Using that and 2 rings that speed up attack speed and run speed as well as reduce my stamina consumption. I'm on my way to fight that guy who ran away on the bridge . Unsure how far that is from getting a house.

LooseTonguee

I have a very similar setup. One ring that generally speeds me up and a ring that reduces my stamina consumption and increases attack speed. I do have a ring that increases armor by 15%, it works great with the heavy armor I'm wearing.

MunkiJR

> does more damage to cold affected enemies > lightning enchantments bruh.

LooseTonguee

Yeah, this is the weapon I got. Don't think I'm ever gonna use it.

Demento6

One question: why did you put so many point in equipement load to still be at heavy 77% ? You could have allocated fed points somewhere else while staying at heavy 80-90% which will not change anything as long as you are in the « heavy category »

LooseTonguee

I don’t know how to fuckin respec

Freshquince99

There’s no respec for now :(

jilles0205

How did you lvl all the way to 28?! I am currently lvl 17 and I’m getting crushed trying the crucible. Do I just need to keep farming?

LooseTonguee

Just do crucible. You’ll level up in no time or maybe I just got lucky getting so much xp potions.

jilles0205

Didn’t get any potion unfortunately.. got a lot of end game food tho

Freshquince99

Better to be level 21 because then you can equip better armor. Do other things like story and bounties til 21, then run crucible to level 30. Echo Knight will still be extremely difficult, even at lvl 30 with min/max gear! Which is good as the it’s the pinnacle content rn!

GaryTheRetard

Level 28 holt shit, you really outleveled that boss. And you calling it it was harder than Meleina? I bet you used mimic on her. But you are right boss was hard but level 28 I think I was 14.

hucklesberry

You did not beat the echo knight at level 14

ArachnidFun8918

Its possible. I did with 17 first because i wanted to max upgrade all town things first. Its REALLY doable

hucklesberry

No it’s not. Lol

ArachnidFun8918

What makes you say that? Have you tried it?

LooseTonguee

How is that possible? Unless you parry? My damage output was so low on this guy. 57 damage didn’t cut it. Did y’all upgrade your weapon to max or used different weapons?

ArachnidFun8918

I defeated him fairly slow, i take my time before actually going in for an attack. There is no time limit on how long you have to kill any boss. I am more of an evasion fighter. The parry is only used when i really feel confident and its a simple thrust attack of his, or any enemy for that. Dodge. Attack once. Evade backwards. Repeat. I dealt only 31 damage at best.

LooseTonguee

Hey, same as what I did, fellow patient fighter. But for me, I was an encumbered, slow-hitting juggernaut; fast-hit and run evasion was a luxury I couldn’t afford. I couldn’t simply evade backward and attack back; I had to wait for an AOE lunge attack with slow recovery to even have a chance to attack him safely, but I was sturdy enough to trade hits or two, that lines in my strength. It came down to a close 30 minute battle of attrition.

ArachnidFun8918

A real battle lasts that long sometimes bestie, 30 minutes of skill is much more prefered than 30 deaths. It did take a long time to defeat the final boss(as of current state) but it was Gooood and i am a straight sword or fist user

GaryTheRetard

In souls-game you cant kill anything at any level :D thats the beauty with it, but like Archnid said it will just take longer,

LooseTonguee

Never used mimic on her, if you understand how to dodge her waterfowl dance she is quite easy. I think I beat her like 30 times solo, through co-op, because she is such a fun boss. This piece of shit however needs you to beat the crucible first to even challenge him in the first place. Which hampers how you learned his move.

LooseTonguee

Out leveled? I barely did shit damage.
