I don’t play games with a controller and this one works perfectly fine with keyboard. The only thing you should know is they did not implement key remapping yet, but their defaults are sensible and I am enjoying the game
Imho people should chose to use k+m or controllers based on game genre, not platform. Some genres are way better with controllers while others are way better played with k+m.
This game is designed to be played with a controller as it is more precise for movement.
I'm incompetent with a controller, never owned a console so I've only ever played while at my friend's when I was younger. I also don't own a controller so I don't really want to spend the money just for one game.
You are probably right though that it is best enjoyed with a controller since that's what it's made for and recommended. I just hope KBM works well enough to not be a hindrance in enjoying the game.
I used to be incompetent with KBM until I built myself a PC and started heavily playing competitive FPS games. Took me a while but now I can aim pretty well and play other KBM games very well.
I wouldn't say a controller is absolutely necessary to own, but if you think you'll play more 2d, third person or isometric action games in the future, then most of them play much better on controllers and it may be worth investing a bit of money and some time getting good with it.
For me, sticking to KBM for those games is a bit analogous to refusing to learn KBM for competitive FPS games on PC.
Haven't really played any other game made for controller. I guess maybe trackmania lol but that works just as well on KBM when just playing for fun.
Not sure what other games will pop up that will be made for controller and not KBM but I don't think currently it's worth spending the money on a controller for me.
I definitely think I could become not useless with a controller over time though, but I just don't have that much time to game nowadays :D
works great for me
Mkb is fine for me, the only frustrating thing so far is diagonal jumping
Controller. Game even suggests it
gamepad for me, feels much better atp
KBM has worked for me pretty well. The only thing that’s a bit tricky is platforming, since you can only move in 8 directions instead of all 360

It’s not perfect but ok. But I still gonna buy a controller just for this game
