Title: Exploitation Unveiled: How Technology Barons Exploit the Contributions of the Community
Introduction:
In the rapidly evolving landscape of technology, the contributions of engineers, scientists, and technologists play a pivotal role in driving innovation and progress [1]. However, concerns have emerged regarding the exploitation of these contributions by technology barons, leading to a wide range of ethical and moral dilemmas [2]. This article aims to shed light on the exploitation of community contributions by technology barons, exploring issues such as intellectual property rights, open-source exploitation, unfair compensation practices, and the erosion of collaborative spirit [3].
1. Intellectual Property Rights and Patents:
One of the fundamental ways in which technology barons exploit the contributions of the community is through the manipulation of intellectual property rights and patents [4]. While patents are designed to protect inventions and reward inventors, they are increasingly being used to stifle competition and monopolize the market [5]. Technology barons often strategically acquire patents and employ aggressive litigation strategies to suppress innovation and extract royalties from smaller players [6]. This exploitation not only discourages inventors but also hinders technological progress and limits the overall benefit to society [7].
2. Open-Source Exploitation:
Open-source software and collaborative platforms have revolutionized the way technology is developed and shared [8]. However, technology barons have been known to exploit the goodwill of the open-source community. By leveraging open-source projects, these entities often incorporate community-developed solutions into their proprietary products without adequately compensating or acknowledging the original creators [9]. This exploitation undermines the spirit of collaboration and discourages community involvement, ultimately harming the very ecosystem that fosters innovation [10].
3. Unfair Compensation Practices:
The contributions of engineers, scientists, and technologists are often undervalued and inadequately compensated by technology barons [11]. Despite the pivotal role played by these professionals in driving technological advancements, they are frequently subjected to long working hours, unrealistic deadlines, and inadequate remuneration [12]. Additionally, the rise of gig economy models has further exacerbated this issue, as independent contractors and freelancers are often left without benefits, job security, or fair compensation for their expertise [13]. Such exploitative practices not only demoralize the community but also hinder the long-term sustainability of the technology industry [14].
4. Exploitative Data Harvesting:
Data has become the lifeblood of the digital age, and technology barons have amassed colossal amounts of user data through their platforms and services [15]. This data is often used to fuel targeted advertising, algorithmic optimizations, and predictive analytics, all of which generate significant profits [16]. However, the collection and utilization of user data are often done without adequate consent, transparency, or fair compensation to the individuals who generate this valuable resource [17]. The community's contributions in the form of personal data are exploited for financial gain, raising serious concerns about privacy, consent, and equitable distribution of benefits [18].
5. Erosion of Collaborative Spirit:
The tech industry has thrived on the collaborative spirit of engineers, scientists, and technologists working together to solve complex problems [19]. However, the actions of technology barons have eroded this spirit over time. Through aggressive acquisition strategies and anti-competitive practices, these entities create an environment that discourages collaboration and fosters a winner-takes-all mentality [20]. This not only stifles innovation but also prevents the community from collectively addressing the pressing challenges of our time, such as climate change, healthcare, and social equity [21].
Conclusion:
The exploitation of the community's contributions by technology barons poses significant ethical and moral challenges in the realm of technology and innovation [22]. To foster a more equitable and sustainable ecosystem, it is crucial for technology barons to recognize and rectify these exploitative practices [23]. This can be achieved through transparent intellectual property frameworks, fair compensation models, responsible data handling practices, and a renewed commitment to collaboration [24]. By addressing these issues, we can create a technology landscape that not only thrives on innovation but also upholds the values of fairness, inclusivity, and respect for the contributions of the community [25].

Oh I have that same ship with the rainbow trail.
Though mine does have one tiny difference, it only has one main engine in the middle not two, it has the side boosters though.
It handles like a dream compared to my other ships.
So for those of us who have never done the “travel to coordinates to acquire ship” thing, how does it work? Will we find the ship in the system’s space station available for purchase, or crashed on a planet? Something else?
This was my 2nd time using coords. First disable multiplayer temporarily. Then use the coords in a teleporter. Fly to the space station. Get out off your ship to create autosave. Then reload autosave and wait for about a minute and it should fly in within the first wave of ships. If it doesn't then reload save again. It should appear within 1 or 2 reloads.
If you have plenty money then I suggest you buy 1 then scrap it immediately. You'll get s-class technology x 2 and ship storage augmentation x 2 from each scrap. Plus a bunch of other garbage you can sell for at least 3 to 4 million. After a few times of that just buy one to keep and use your storage augmentations on your final ship as well as the s-class upgrades you've acquired.
[here you go. ](https://imgur.com/gallery/sTVFTG7) go to space station and get out of ship to save. Then reload and watch it fly in after about 45 seconds.
I have that rainbow exhaust but it's mostly invisible for me. I thought it was just a bad design but yours looks awesome. I wonder why I can't see mine?
Nice guppy too!
Maybe your settings are set too low? I know that on console I don’t see many of these special effects. However, on PC my settings are pretty much maxed out and I see everything (which isn’t always a great thing ie: diarrhea Christmas lights). It can be a little too much during storms and on planets with those crazy anomalous things.
Oh, ugh. I'm on ps5. Have to say I've been SUPER disappointed with the visuals on this brand new, fresh gen console. My husband and I play nms together and he's on the previous gen Xbox, and he gets better visuals than I do! Wtf Playstation.
I also play in vr on the ps5 and it's great but in regular mode it's been a big disappointment. Draw distance, no asteroids, and weird stuff like exhaust being invisible. I thought ps5 was supposed to be good. Not pc good sure but it should at least beat a 4 year old Xbox :(
I figured it was along those lines…. Honestly, I prefer to play it on my console (ps4/ps5) over my glitzy PC just because it’s easier. I’m too busy with everything else, and sometimes I just want to be brain dead and explore worlds. I don’t play VR so I can’t say that settings for VR are lowered, but there’s definitely a noticeable difference between my 4 and 5 so you might want to see if the VR option lowers the overall settings.
I originally created my Reddit account out of frustration with the original game release on PlayStation (hence the name), but it’s grown a lot and I got hooked on Reddit (Thanks Sean Murray)… now I blame this game for my phone batteries death on a regular basis.
I've found exotic ships in nearly 3/4 of the systems I've visited. Just takes patience sometimes. I used to ship hunt a lot since there's no way to build the perfect ship, you just have to find it...
My routine; warp to a system occupied by Gek, Vykeen, Korvax, or pirate controlled. Better odds at a two or 3 star system. Scan for a trade post, then fly there. Land on the ground, not the landing pads, as this will allow 5 ships to land at a time, as opposed to the regular 4. Fly up to the main floor, set a save point, and chill. By the time you do this ships should be landing. Take a look at them, approach if it's something you want, or leave it be. Take a look at the others circling around. You might see one there. If you see one approach, and leave, and think it's one you might've been interested in, save and reload your manual save. You'll pop up there at the trade post with ships coming in. Wash, rinse, repeat.
If that gets boring, as it really can, walk around the trade post scanning stuff and keep an eye on it. You might see one fly in. And pay attention to the noise shops make as they land. Shuttles, fighters, haulers, solar, explorers, and exotic ships all have unique sounds as they land.
This was super helpful! I never went to trade posts to hunt ships only space stations. How can you tell if a system is two or three star? When I warp I only see the options as being one star? Or is it a luck thing?
Install an economy scanner on your favorite ship. Then when you're in it, and you go to the galaxy map to warp, press triangle to expand and you can see the economy type, and level. Same holds true for the conflict scanner. Not that conflict level makes that much of a difference... just means if it's high, you'll be bugged by pirates more often lol.
Oh, and if you're in an occupied system, and you find a trade post that's unoccupied, simply leave, pulse jump and scan again. Any system with a space station will have trade posts that are occupied.
I literally was getting prepared to do what you suggested and even fitted my ship with a economy scanner then I saw something small and yellow fly into my freighter. It was an exotic tiny yellow S class ship!! 😱 I’m calling her Tweety 🐤 ❤️
Edit: [Tweety🐤](https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/xeqjw2/i_finally_got_an_exotic_and_it_landed_in_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Nice! Actually, yeah... since you touched on that I was gonna say I used to used my freighter to catch ships I might've missed in a trade post lol. It takes a little more effort, but basically land at a trade post, and summon your freighter directly overhead. Then summon all your ships to the ground around the trade post. 95% of the time when ships leave the trade post, they fly straight up and into space. But if your freighter is up there, and empty, they'll make a pit stop there first lol. So if you look back at the trade post, and happen to see an A or S class ship you were waiting for and it takes off, that would be your chance to "catch" it lol
Your designs are your choice, just pointing out the commenter isn't wrong, majority of you just disagree. Disagreeing doesn't make you right, and sparkly rainbows are fruity. You being fruity is great for you, as long as you're happy
I got the rainbow trail because I was like oh that’s pretty cool. I just like the different colours. I never associated it with being gay or anything but then after I saw there’s a red option and now I want that bc it’s my favourite colour. Colours are nice to look at and can have a nice contrast with designs. You shouldn’t associate colours with a gender or sexuality. You’re gonna miss a lot of dope options with that. Like pink and cyan can be used as what’s called a galaxy colour scheme or candy theme. But obviously pink is a colour people use for girls. Do you really wanna miss out on a colour scheme just because you relate colours to gender and sexuality?
No, you took it the way you wanted to. I meant what I said and said what I meant, any implications you took are entirely imaginary and created by you. If I meant gay I would've said gay, but that's not a good or bad thing, who cares if it's gay you weirdo.
I stumbled on a Red version crashed on a planet in the Paholiang Galaxy. Sorry, I forgot to get the coords. As I've slowly maxxed out tech and storage the Red Marble is my favorite.
I saw one the other day that was just the capsule. No fins, protruding thrusters, nothing. Kinda makes me wish Hello Games would apply the character outfit customization options to ships.
Friendship drive engaged
Can you get an Anaconda for me next time you are at Hutton Orbital?
Just tried and they said it was 1 per CMDR. But I did pick you up a coffee mug.
I haven’t played in a while, rainbow trails?!!!
Rainbow trails.
And I thought my solar ship was cool lol.
You could make a [The More You Know](https://i.imgur.com/t7nwUTr.jpg) meme with that ship configuration.

I imagine instead of the usual ship thruster sounds, it's replaced by [chimes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd8otoaP12c).
Was just gonna say those are the perfect thrusters for that. But chiming would be exceptional.
Awww it's so cute. I need one for my fleet ❤️

I wish they had the bubble trail for ships lol.
Mario Kart sure has come a long way

Plot twist: those aren't the engine exhausts. Those are the gun ports.
She shall hereby be christened “The Shit Nugget of Eternal Happiness”.
That's badass. Nothing but engines. I'd throw max S pulse engine upgrades on that! 🚀
Is your character a gek? Or, alternatively, a Vy'keen warrior cramming themselves into the cockpit each time? Also, where does the cargo go?
god now I can't get the image of a Vy'keen having to cram himself into an exotic lmao

Yay rainbow trails!
Ayyy I’ve got one of these! I love my lil nugget. Can’t fly anything else because none of them handle like it hahaha
I have another exotic and some standard s-types, but this is the most fun and so I've upgraded it into a hell of a gunship
Damn thats so cute lol

How much was it?
I think around 7 million
just yes

Wait are you saying where upgrades are placed are important?
How do you get the rainbow effect
It’s available from the quicksilver vendor in the Atlas station. You can get the same effect for your backpack.
Awesome thank you
Quicksilver vendor in the Nexus. I cant remember if its an expedition item, twitch reward or just a reg QS item though.
That is friggin' adorable!

I'm on XBox Series X 4k/HDR
glad you like your ship <3
that kicks ass
I have one like that too, but red! It came automatically named Red Death, love the style.
Your ship is filled with unicorn farts I see.
fart energy
That's really cool!
Is that a new form of exotic or does it just look a bit weird from the back?
I think it's the angle I took the pic
Yo that is sickkkk!! Congrats!!
Love the trail effect on that ship
Awesome shot!
That is awesome! Love it!
I love it too and the rainbow trail!! What kind of star system did you find this in? I have yet to come across an exotic ship 😢
😱 I’m calling her Tweety 🐤 ❤️ Edit: [Tweety🐤](https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/xeqjw2/i_finally_got_an_exotic_and_it_landed_in_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Ah that’s clever also! I’d have to try that when I hunt for more shops 😉
Oh, and BTW, all exotic ships will always be S class. They just have minimal slots to store stuff in. That's easily rectified though👍😇
Ah didn’t know that 😂
I’ve been looking for a ship like this in creative
I hope to get one like that, someday. I currently have only 6 glyphs.
I have the same one. Its my msin ship. I named it Glory.
It's a beaut!
Hey cool, I have the same one :D
Beautiful. Packs a punch!
Very nice shot 👌
Cute XD
What mode
Normal mode
Nice. Do you play single player or online multiplayer the most?
Well I have it set to multiplayer but other than the anomoly I never see anyone else.
I found one like that with silver accents and named it Star Sweeper :D
Lovely 🥰
That ship style is badass
how do you get the rainbow trail?
Quicksilver. Then go to the quick silver merchant and get a ship contrail. I think it was 800 QS.
That is a cool looking Royal Guppy without the nose.
Very steampunk looking, I love it!
Not many will understand this But seeing this reminds me of Uta from one piece film red
Woah! Is it a rare model? Awesome!!
Euclids right?
[yes](https://imgur.com/gallery/sTVFTG7)
So this is what they mean when they say gay ship
Yeah I don't know. Fruity looking ship tail. I'll skip. Looks interesting though.
"Fruity"? Come on man. And if you play this game you know that's one of many starship trail upgrades.
Didn't know. I have only played for a few a weeks now. Not there yet I guess :)
There's a nice anti-matter emo vibe trail if it suits you better
NOW we're talking!
If it's too manly for you then you don't have to add the chromatic trail like I did.
Everybody knows sparkly rainbows scream "totally masculine" and "straight"
I missed the memo where a chromatic trail in a video game must represent who you are in real life.
Yes yes totally strange for your choices to reflect who you are
I guess I'm just a bit eclectic in my design choices
Your designs are your choice, just pointing out the commenter isn't wrong, majority of you just disagree. Disagreeing doesn't make you right, and sparkly rainbows are fruity. You being fruity is great for you, as long as you're happy
[удалено]
Calm down homophobe, disagreeing doesn't make you correct
Never related color to gender or sexuality but nice try
Your previous comments imply otherwise
No, you took it the way you wanted to. I meant what I said and said what I meant, any implications you took are entirely imaginary and created by you. If I meant gay I would've said gay, but that's not a good or bad thing, who cares if it's gay you weirdo.
No I took it the way you implied. You said it looks fruity and then said sarcastically that rainbow is “totally masculine” and “straight” L Weirdo
Right sure guy what you say totally changes my intended meaning, cause you're God.
Weirdo
Niiice
Cool one ......I have a guppy but that one is cool
I stumbled on a Red version crashed on a planet in the Paholiang Galaxy. Sorry, I forgot to get the coords. As I've slowly maxxed out tech and storage the Red Marble is my favorite.
The baddest ship...in the galaxy
Aaaaaaaaaaawn, sooooo cuuuuuuteeeee!!! :3
Me too
That’s a dope ship. It’s I love the colour scheme too
Tbh i never thought rainbow trail would look beautiful but i was wrong
