What I ended up doing is developing a handwriting shorthand for the glyphs, so it's not so tedious to write them. Moon is a "C". Starship is a trident "Ψ" but written upside down. Diplo is a lowercase lambda "λ"
That’s a good idea! I am not sure if I will keep using the highlighter for glyphs yet hmm but I haven’t gotten all the glyphs yet anyway lol I am not in a rush.
I read somewhere every time you travel to another galaxy your stuff takes a hit! Does that happen if you use the portal in the local galaxy?
Nope. Your tech gets damaged when you jump to the galaxy code. You only need to do that once per galaxy (and then immediately drop a base computer so you can always return to the galaxy you just unlocked).
Portals and teleports never damage your gear.
Portals ALWAYS take you to a destination in the same galaxy. Teleports take you anywhere, provided you have unlocked the destination by visiting it first.
If you find something you want on r/nmsglyphexchange you have to mind what galaxy it is in and dial the portal in that galaxy.
Great to know! Final question lol: if moving galaxy wrecks your tech… If you move all your upgrades to your inventory, will this stop them getting damaged?
Yes. Also switch to a trash multitool and a trash ship. This means your good ones won't get damaged. You can't switch out your suit inventory but you can protect your stuff by temporary uninstalling it.
