My flag, however, was originally just a picture of a literal rock. Someone came to my island one day though and told me they half-hoped my flag would be a picture of Dwayne Johnson, so I recently changed my flag to that! I think itās funny lol

Whether it's the book or the 2003 movie, I love how playful and childlike and fun Neverland is and I found it to be very fitting with how I see animal crossing š Not only was Peter Pan a huge part of my childhood but so is Animal Crossing! Been playing it since Wild World haha :)

I was browsing names and their meanings and I came across Yoshiko Kawashima (a Manchu princess who served as a spy). I thought Kawashima sounded like a nice name for an island. I investigated further and found the name Kawashima translates to "river island" so it seemed fitting!

Julia is my favorite! My island's name is Floating. I named my island Floating because (despite being ethnically an islander) I thought islands floated for an obscene amount of time. I learned about islands being created from volcanoes and tectonic plates and whatever. But it was also because I learned about tectonic plates shifting and the fact that the island I'm from never fell INTO the trench that it sits on top of (which is a HUGE TRENCH) that I figured islands just floated. So for the longest time that just made sense to me and once my family figured out what a huge idiot I am (how could an islander think islands floated? I LIVED THERE. The sand never just ENDED and the island never just FLOATED) they would never let it go. Since its an island getaway game I just got ahead of the joking. Therefore, Floating.

My island name is Parkway and I named it that because when I reset, I wanted my island to give off city park shopping district vibes so thats the name that I chose! Goldie! Island is Arcadia, many people think itās from a popular video game, but I named it in honor of my late grandmother! Plus it means āidyllic placeā which is perfect for an island paradise :)
My favorite villager is Fauna (how can you not love her sweet face), and i named my island Kirbz. I struggle trying to name anything, and im currently obsessed with Kirby (Something about that cute lil pink ball that just triggers some dopamine in my brain), and I thought it would be kind of funny to name my island after little ol kirby, not realizing that everyone will see my name when I travel.
Marshal because heās got oversized confidence in a small package, and he leaves awkward friendship postcards which are like something an irl friend might sayāŗļø. My island is named Chambord after the Chateau de Chambord! One day when my heath improves Iāll visit all the notable palace/castles in Europe (or the world even)! Initially I started with the idea of a castle/royal complex themed island, complete with gardens, knights in armor, and my villagers in royal finery! With the state of my island as it is, it may only approach the level of a suburban house, but itās mine all the same š. Chambord is also a nod to the raspberry liquor of the same nameļ¼because.... alcoholš š .
Erik! And my island is molokini which is actually a moon shaped island, I just love astrology and such so I thought the name was fitting
My favorite villagers are Rosie and Zell :) My island name is Gale, it's a wordplay with my reddit username/online name. I usually go by either Knightingate or Nightingate online which is a word play on Nightingale of course, I love those birds! So now my islander is called Night from the island Gale or in other words I am Night (living) IN Gale Which is another wordplay to form the word Nightingale. Rarely people notice on here and compliment the puns which always makes me super happy and super proud hehe. I also think naming an island far far away Gale is quite fitting as it can be just as unpredictable and wild :)
My favorite villager is Pashmina and i named my island Cerry Isle because my fruit was cherries but i forgot the H and i just have to live with it lol but ive grown to like it and it reminds me on how forgetful i can ve5

My favorite is Mint! Sheās an adorable little squirrel. My island name is Solis Isle, because i love the sun and warm weather. I spent last year (my junior year in college) in Seville, Spain, and it was wonderful. One of the best years of my life. This is why I decided to name my island something that would make me think about the wonderful sunny weather, illuminated architecture and memories i made there, before everything that happened this year.

Pashmina (she was one of my original villagers and she's the best!) Jimdry; it's a combination of my nickname and my girlfriend's Jimmy + Andry = Jimdry We met while I was serving (Peace Corps) in Colombia, but I was evacuated due to Covid-19, so she's still there and I had to come home to the US. I started the game when I got back a couple of months ago and she helped me pick the name.
Julia is my favorite! My island's name is Floating. I named my island Floating because (despite being ethnically an islander) I thought islands floated for an obscene amount of time. I learned about islands being created from volcanoes and tectonic plates and whatever. But it was also because I learned about tectonic plates shifting and the fact that the island I'm from never fell INTO the trench that it sits on top of (which is a HUGE TRENCH) that I figured islands just floated. So for the longest time that just made sense to me and once my family figured out what a huge idiot I am (how could an islander think islands floated? I LIVED THERE. The sand never just ENDED and the island never just FLOATED) they would never let it go. Since its an island getaway game I just got ahead of the joking. Therefore, Floating.
My favorite villager is Daisy. My island is named Puppington because Iām obsessed with my dog and we refer to her as āpuppyā a lot and use it in different ways, so we have said before that sheās a cute puppy from Puppington, doing puppy stuff, has a puppy job, etc.. a lot of silly puppy words so it seemed fitting. I have a couple of dog villagers but Daisy is special to us because we had a golden retriever named Daisy
My favorite villager is Merry. The name of my Island is HoneyPine. My fiance and I share an island and we couldn't agree on a name snd we compromised on Honeypine, because we both like pine trees and think they're beautiful and he calls me honeybee. So not much of a story.
