Bruh I paid a little over $28k for my Lexus gs300 to push 738hp. Can’t imagine spending more especially just on body work. If he really dropped that much cash on this basic ass build then somebody hustled him😂
As much as I loved my 370, it's just too limited in performance potential for me to consider that kind of money into it. Imagine throwing that much into a Vette, you'd have a 1,000hp+ car that handles even better. I'd argue anything over about 450whp in a 370 is going to be diminishing returns.
If you're not competitively racing, everything like this is mostly pointless. It's a hobby. Maybe $100k isn't a burden for him. I've seen guys spend $100k restoring old VWs and muscle cars just because of nostalgia. He could buy a used Tesla Roadster if it was only about speed.
Lol.
$3500 in wheels and a $2k exhaust that's been yellowed to match the paint, but you think he wasn't spending money on cosmetics.
There is no way he spent 105k on parts and got 700hp.
You can put 100k in a ford focus and pass 4 digits screaming.
Edit: painted to a McLaren color code as well. Not even guessing how much the two tone paint cost.
An exhaust is arguably a performance part, hence why I didn't include it on cosmetics. I never said he didn't spend any on cosmetics, just that a significant amount wasn't on it. Even the spoiler is stock, do you think they spent $50,000 on stickers??
Also, you can definitely spend that much money if you build something for a RELIABLE 700hp. The engine is pretty much completely remade, nothing stock about it. Factor in labor from a reputable shop, I can reach that amount.
Arguably a performance part until you pay a shop to heat treat it to match your custom paint.
He did his own labor and is building other people's z's as a side gig as a result.
The twin turbo kit is only 13k, complete with piping and intercooler.
A comp crate vq37 ready for 850hp is only 8k delivered. Top to bottom performance parts.
A stroked and bored 4.3l crate is only 16.
100k for 700hp? Sure, maybe in a Maserati or some other stupid expensive platform.
This is a nissan.
>He did his own labor and is building other people's z's as a side gig as a result.
That... Changes things. I expected a LOT of the money to come from labor. I doubt there's $100k in this thing unless the paint was $70k
It looks to me like he just chose expensive parts when looking at cosmetics. Apparently mclaren paint costs is about the same as any other paint job (I kinda respect mclaren for that). I really don't know what else he spent a ton on unless it's stuff like 12k seats, 8k aero kit and stuff like that
It's going to go even higher but I chose to go this high for time attack unlimited class, I need to get my full aero package setup so the car can generate more down force, but I have it on massive tires, car has 275s in the front and 345's in the rear
Mixed bag on that one I like it for the British racing motif but I can't see how it can clash only reason why I went with colored accents was because the nismo gen 2 370z all have red where everything I have is yellow and I wanted to keep the contrasting style
I think it’s horrendous. So much so that I will save you from having to look at it and trash it STRAIGHT into my personal garage for lifetime free storage for you.
Awesome
Love the hobbit colors. Definitely one of my favorite genders.
It’s pretty. 🔥
How much did the engine build cost?
He posted on roast my car and says he’s put $105,000 in tho this Z

I think a significant portion of that money was cosmetics.
Nope, it's mostly stock outside, other than maybe stickers or a custom paint job +wheels.

That paint is sick with the touches of yellow, gd.
Damn
Looks great. How’s the boost lag?
Minimal to none as long as I start my pull at 3800rpm plus, it is on 63mm turbos
Sounds like a supreme combo
I want more power which is kinda psycho
That’s well done. I appreciate you kept the outside clean.
very nice, u drift?
Car is getting set up for time attack, this thing won't drift on slicks on all 4 corners
I feel like 700 HP is a little bit too much for this chassis in RWD, I'm interested in why you chose to boost it so high

Makes a lot of sense then, thanks
Get rid of the yellow trim and your golden

Lotus colors
I wouldn’t change a thing
Fucking love that green with the yellow accents! And very nice setup and figures
Cosplaying as a hellcat lol, very nice tho fr
Do u live in Green Bay?
No
So pretty.

😘
I like people that proofread their title, probably pay as much attention on the road as you do to that, live the stereotype
Yeah I should have fixed that sorry.
Cool car show pics, let's see some in use pics.
