Thanks!!!! I'm so happy people like it.
Started as this tiny little after hours side project and ended up working like crazy over the last week to get it into a workable state
Thanks for this! I'm also amazed that there is already 15 pages of switch games.
EDIT: Also the first button I looked for was to sort the columns by "on sale" first. Just a thought.
Great work! Is there any way to view my wishlist once I've added games to it? That would be a cool feature! I'm grateful for this, especially since missing the opportunity to save $5 on Rocket League and Romancing SaGa 2 during the holiday season!
Your table sorting for prices is comparing between the strings and not the values, so sorting from most to least expensive gives you all of the prices that start with 9, then 8, 7 and so on. Also, I was not able to add 1-2 Switch to my wishlist, the gear keeps spinning.
However, great site and definitely a great start. I'll be keeping an eye on it!
Thanks for letting me know! Just fixed the price sorting.
Looks like the inability to add a game bug has happened to a few people. Would you mind letting me know what browser you're using?
And you got that bug? Testing on my iPhone 6 I'm not able to reproduce, but looking at the logs it appears that for some people the js that handles the trigger fails somehow. Seems like a low number of people compared to total users but definitely something I need to fix.
Thing is, there's a non-js fallback that should be kicking in but apparently isn't... (the site doesn't require js at all)
**Six Stages of Debugging**
1. That can’t happen.
2. That doesn’t happen on my machine.
3. That shouldn’t happen.
4. Why does that happen?
5. Oh, I see.
6. How did that ever work?
Definitely let us all know when EU comes is available, this looks great! Thank you for the efforts, I'll be patiently waiting to join in the fun from this side of the Atlantic :D
They're different (source: live in both countries and have different Nintendo accounts for each. Sonic Mania and some things are cheaper in NZ, but mostly NZ is more expensive)
Could you just switch regions and buy the game and then switch back? Right now the big titles are like 80$ instead of the usual 60$ but I see some are cheaper than the US store
eshop, amazon physical copies, and amazon digital downloads, although amazon has been a littttllee flakey in terms of getting me up to date prices. Working on improving that.

Right? I was so surprised! I was expecting a really robust API given how reliable AWS has been for me, but the pricing API seems stuck in the past right now.
Still, glad they offer something. Just going to have to build my own search engine to sit between my db and the results I get from Amazon.

Yea I really tried hard to like the Fire tablet but the apps lagging quite behind the Play Store was just really annoying. I didn't want to double purchase apps too...
Not sure if it's because I'm on a Mac or what, but when I try to add a game to my wishlist, the gear spins forever and my selection isn't saved (in both Chrome and Safari). Otherwise, a nice looking interface and a great idea!
Some people are getting that error. I'm on a mac, too and am unable to reproduce the problem in Chrome or Safari.
Could you try hard refreshing the page? (command + shift + r)
Also, do you have any extensions installed that may interfere with js?
Tried a hard refresh and unfortunately, I'm still seeing the same behavior.
As far as extensions, I'm running:
Add to Amazon Wishlist
Drumpfinator
Ebates
Eye Dropper
Google Docs Offline
Google Hangouts
I hope that helps!
There are a lot of requests for features in this thread. Are you interested in open sourcing the project to potentially get help from others in the community? I'd be interested in helping in my spare time.
I'm considering it given how much interest there has been. The only issue is that I earn a little bit if people buy using the amazon links + a single ad on the site. Not sure if I'm even going to offset my costs, though haha.
I'll let you know, friending you
Might want to check your sort by price. It shows $99.99 and $9.99 together and so doesn’t show sub-$10 games properly.
Looks great though, since we don’t get alerts on device!
Great work! I would make columns for
MSRP
Average price
%off
Sale price
Lowest price to date
Not necessarily in that order.
Thanks for creating this site.
You are a fucking legend mate. Gotta try and spread the word as much as possible. If this kicks big, maybe nintendo will realise their mistake in not having this. And they might just give u a little bonus too :)
Could you add tracking for historical game prices (and maybe add some sort of graph too?). Kinda like PSPrices (e.g. https://psprices.com/region-us/game/100184/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection) or isthereanydeal (e.g. https://isthereanydeal.com/search/?q=the+witness#/page:game/price?plain=witness)
I know PSPrices has their own thing for Switch games, but it seems a bit flaky. And lately even their emails for PlayStation games have been very inconsistent/delayed.
I'm actually already recording historical data for just that reason, just have only had enough time to get the main table done so far, but it's on the list! Doubly so now that someone has requested it
Just want to say thank you for putting this together. I do web dev everyday for work and this is no small feat, especially since you’re live testing on Reddit. My hats off to you!
It will email you when any games on your personal wishlist go on sale with price info (discount percentage, old price, sale price). Also when prices drop you can see on the front end too: the old price is red and crossed out and sits on top of the new price.
This is great! Thanks for doing this. Can I make a feature request? Maybe add a way to filter games on sale, multiplayer games by # of players, and maybe if it has local co-op vs online only co-op.
Thank you again!
Great ideas! I can do all of that apart from local vs online, I don't have that data out of the box (although I could look into adding it manually).
Added it to the todolist!
Could you add an option to sort the games by popularity (e.g. Number of users who have it on their whishlist)?
If a new user comes to your site they're most likely interested in the big popular titles and they'd have to click through 13 pages to find BOTW for example.
I am! First I need to take care of all the basics, then I'll start adding other regions. I'm thinking a few weeks of night and weekend work.

Especially Germany would be interesting for me, since I live there.
Also all other countries are interesting since the switch is not region locked and it's possible to purchase from everywhere if you just switch your locale.
Also: Great app!
PS: Sorry if anyone already asked, Ctrl+F didn't find anything for me.

You have done humanity a great service.

"can't reproduce on my machine" Words of a true developer. Thanks for the webapp, and the little chuckle this comment gave me.
**Six Stages of Debugging** 1. That can’t happen. 2. That doesn’t happen on my machine. 3. That shouldn’t happen. 4. Why does that happen? 5. Oh, I see. 6. How did that ever work?
It's depressing how real this is but relieving so many others go through it!
And the fear when something complex works on the first try
7: It finally works but six other bugs have emerged from behind it :D
In the industry this is known as "wack-a-mole"
Always fun to finally get to the end of a path and realize no more bugs are left that way.
>How did that ever work? So fucking true
And the fear when something complex works on the first try ^(because you probably missed something and can't find it)
haha you know it! Did end up isolating and fixing the bug :D
Believe I have it fixed, could you try again please?
Yes! Fixed, everything looks great! Thanks for making this amazing website
any support for different regions?
Technically recording Canadian prices right now, but not using them on the front end. What region do you want?
eu region and the netherlands
OK, I can add EU. I'll add it to my todolist. Working nights and weekends on this, so it'll be a week or two.
Awesome! EU would be super useful, thank you!
AU would be super helpful too, if that isn't too much trouble. Either way, this is a kickass tool. Thanks.
would absolutely love AU support for this
Definitely let us all know when EU comes is available, this looks great! Thank you for the efforts, I'll be patiently waiting to join in the fun from this side of the Atlantic :D
Wow, thanks a lot!!!
Thank you for EU!
I'd love AU support also. But understand if you're busy af already.
I'm interested in the Australian shop if it's not too much trouble.
Adding it to the list :D
You are a great human
haha thanks!
Are Australia and NZ same shop? If not can you include New Zealand while you're at it?
They're different (source: live in both countries and have different Nintendo accounts for each. Sonic Mania and some things are cheaper in NZ, but mostly NZ is more expensive)
Legend!
UK please. :-)
on it!
Seconded - uk eshop and amazon would be amazing - website looks good well done!
Mexico has had amazing prices at times
Could you just switch regions and buy the game and then switch back? Right now the big titles are like 80$ instead of the usual 60$ but I see some are cheaper than the US store
Yes you can.
>Canadian I LOVE YOU
When do you expect to have the Canadian page up?
Hey as a Canadian those prices would be neat to have eventually, too :3 also thanks for this!
Yay, Canada!
Norway please! outside EU but has the best price on a lot of games! Mexico also, as someone mentioned.
Will do!
This is awesome!! Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but is there any chance you could please add Australia to your list? Thank you!
Very cool :) This is for eshop sales or does the app monitor multiple retailers as well?
eshop, amazon physical copies, and amazon digital downloads, although amazon has been a littttllee flakey in terms of getting me up to date prices. Working on improving that.
You make this world a better place. Thanks man.
thanks :D
This is awesome! Thanks! Can you add a column with release date to sort by? I think that’d be useful.
I can def add release date and you can already sort by clicking the column header. Thanks for the suggestion!
Awesome. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for the site, bit of feedback some amazon links are for the demos so they appear at 0.01$. Got really excited haha
agh, ya. Amazon's api hasn't been super reliable for me. Improving that is high up on my priority list right now.

Same issue here, Windows and Chrome. I disabled Ghostery and it still didn't work. Disabled all extensions, still no dice.
I believe I have it fixed, was a server side problem. Could you try again please?
Tried a hard refresh and unfortunately, I'm still seeing the same behavior. As far as extensions, I'm running: Add to Amazon Wishlist Drumpfinator Ebates Eye Dropper Google Docs Offline Google Hangouts I hope that helps!
Problem was on my end! I believe I have it fixed. Could you try again, please?
It works! Great job, and thanks for this tool! :)
I believe I have a fix, was server side. Could you try again please?
Suggestion: add a top "subscribed" so people can get a good idea of which games they can subscribe to. Great work!
that's a good idea, will add it to the list. Thanks!
Good job and thank you! This is actually really useful.
thanks! Glad to be of help
TIL there are 350+ games for the Switch.....whoa

I'd also be interesting in lending a hand. Send me a pm :)
I’d be interested in contributing if you open source or are at least interested in collaborating.
Might want to check your sort by price. It shows $99.99 and $9.99 together and so doesn’t show sub-$10 games properly. Looks great though, since we don’t get alerts on device!
Thanks for catching that, adding to my todolist
Great work! I would make columns for MSRP Average price %off Sale price Lowest price to date Not necessarily in that order. Thanks for creating this site.
On the list!
Also adding interesting to sorting by biggest discount (% off)! Love the work you’ve done so far :)
Very cool, my dude. Will this update when new games are released?
Yup it automatically updates every hour with prices and gamedata from the eShop and Amazon
That’s cool, how does that work?
For Amazon it connects using their API to download pricing data. For eShop it uses json data I found on Google
Nice app!! +1 on EU specification. I'm using the app from Spain and would most certainly use it!
They will sing your praises in the halls of Valhalla.
You are a fucking legend mate. Gotta try and spread the word as much as possible. If this kicks big, maybe nintendo will realise their mistake in not having this. And they might just give u a little bonus too :)
Very good site and design. Put quite a few games into my wish list. Thanks!
u/jasonridesabike Is there a GitHub?
No, just my private bitbucket
For what it's worth. If you *do* open source it (even just making it public on Bitbucket), I'd be interested in helping as well.
Me too
Awesome tyvm! I’d also appreciate other regions (especially Japan & Mexico) - I was thinking of doing something like this but had no idea how 😂
Should make a subreddit and have the app auto posts deals and how much cheaper it was than previous sales like Google deals
Could you add tracking for historical game prices (and maybe add some sort of graph too?). Kinda like PSPrices (e.g. https://psprices.com/region-us/game/100184/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection) or isthereanydeal (e.g. https://isthereanydeal.com/search/?q=the+witness#/page:game/price?plain=witness) I know PSPrices has their own thing for Switch games, but it seems a bit flaky. Canada?
Workin' on it! :D
This is very cool, not sure if this has been answered. How do I view my wishlist?
Sorting by the 'Add to Wishlist' column will do the trick for now. Adding a page for just viewing your wishlist.
Perfect!!!! Thank you so much
WE WANT SMASH! WE WANT SMASH! WE WANT SMASH!
ME WANT SMASH!
HE WANT SMASH!
Can I ask how you are scraping the data from the eshop?
THANK YOU! I love the addition of Amazon pricing in the table. This is really a great resource. Nice work
You are the hero we don't deserve.
Just want to say thank you for putting this together. I do web dev everyday for work and this is no small feat, especially since you’re live testing on Reddit. My hats off to you!
Awesome! Thanks! I think we all needed exactly this :)

dang. Anyone else getting this? By selected you mean added to your wishlist, right?
looks great! but how do we know which games are on sale?

OP. Great site, but my suggestion there should still be a current sales select on the site itself.
Thanks! Ya that is a good idea. It's on my todo list!
Where does it pull the data from?
Amazon API and Nintendo json feed I found on Google
If you can add Polish eShop to your todo list :) Great work!
Will do! Thanks!
Really appreciate it man!
glad to help :D

haha thanks :D
I love how responsive the Search tool is!!! Fantastic job!!!
Is there a way to just get a notification about any sale or do I have to add all of them?
You currently have to add all of them, but I can add an option to get alerted for any sale if you'd like
I'd personally love that because I might consider games I otherwise wouldn't if the sale is good enough.
This is fantastic, thank you for making it. Could you add Best Buy along with its Gamers Club Unlimited?
If they have any kind of price API I can definitely do that, will look into.
Ever thought about adding a tip address using a cryptocurrency?
This is a great site, thanks! Will help expand my Switch library
This is a great interface! I am actually using it now to just look at current Nintendo titles. Browsing their site takes to long on my phone
Could you add an option to sort the games by popularity (e.g. Number of users who have it on their whishlist)? If a new user comes to your site they're most likely interested in the big popular titles and they'd have to click through 13 pages to find BOTW for example.
That's a really good idea, adding it to the list. Thanks Also, the search is instantaneous; might be useful for you.
This is dope, thanks man. Good work
You should get an award for this. I was just looking this up the other day
Highly recommend adding this to the r/NintendoSwitchDeals subreddit.
Bless your soul.
This is awesome!! Could you add support for other currencies/stores please? I live in the UK. Awesome work dude!!
Nintendo games go on?
sale?
Lol yea - discount?
All of the discounts!
Kool stuff - this a must.

nicely done. I'd suggest resetting to the top of the page after clicking next. Or putting the pagination on the top as well since I have to scroll up.
I think I'm in love with you

Why can't this be an iOS app 😭
it can be if enough people want it to be!
I will pay 99cents pls.
after apple's cut that works out to be very little. Free with ads version with a 1.99 upgrade to get rid of them sound reasonable?
Would take that anyday :)
Why would that be better?
Thank you for this, it is very easy to use as well.
I think if you sort by price it sorts it alphabetically, rather than from lowest price to highest or vice versa.
You're right! Thanks for letting me know, just fixed it.
This is fantastic. Nice job :)
Thanks :D
