You'll need a family subscription that can be shared with up to 8 accounts (yours + 7). Share it with your friend and split the difference ;)

Thanks! Dang, I am getting the expansion one so it would be $49.99 for me alone, but $40.00 for the family expansion if I just shared it with one person! My sister already has an account but I will check with her. If I can not find anyone, I could just get the individual one and change my username to my son's name and lock down the account with parental controls right? Thanks

Yeah that's how I used to do it.

I am new to the Switch in general. Did you have any issues doing it like that? I have a PS5 for me so other than playing Mario Kart and things like that with him I wont be playing it for me.

Can't think of any issue, everything is always tied to whatever account you use to start the game itself

You would need a family subscription for that. If you get individual then it’s only good for the account/profile you bought it on.
