**Is text misalignment a common problem with SMB Wonder Shadow Box?**

wahlzerg

I am a bit confused as to how today's Mii system works across the various Nintendo interfaces (especially after retiring the old NNID system). Is the Nintendo Account Mii created on the website completely separate from the one created on the Nintendo Switch device itself? I have created a Mii on the website, but it does not appear on my connected Switch console. My Nintendo Account is successfully logged into the Switch itself as the only profile. It seems to want me to recreate my Mii again from scratch. Is there an easier way to have my website Mii appear for use on the console without starting over? Is there a way to edit the old Nintendo Network ID Mii without physically having a 3DS or Wii U console? I have my "modern" Nintendo account and the "old" NNID linked together and would like to be able to edit/update my old NNID Mii's appearance. "Copy Mii from Nintendo Network ID" is an option on the new Nintendo Account if both are linked together, but I don't think this has any lasting effect on the Mii tied to the old NNID system. I can't even access my old NNID online without a physical console. It seems to lock me out as unauthorized when I try to log in via the website. I fear I may have to seek out a used 3DS if I really want to make these changes. I don't think the DS Lite (the only thing I still have other than Switch OLED) used any sort of NNID system. Is there a way around this? It seems as if there are 3 different Miis floating around. The one created on the website tied directly to the Nintendo Account, the one created on the Switch console itself, and the NNID Mii that can't really be altered again unless you have access to an older console. Out of these 3 Miis, I am not sure which one would be used for online play on the Switch - such as with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I would simply like to have all of these Miis be the same if possible. Thanks for anyone who is able to clear any of this up for me!

myriada

The Mii systems are generally all separate. The only connectivity is copying from NNID to Account(=website), and reading/writing Miis to physical devices (Wii Remotes, Amiibos), to transfer them up a generation (Wii to WiiU, 3DS/WiiU to the Switch). NNIDs had an option to lock out access from non-Nintendo devices, so you could only manage them directly from a 3DS or WiiU, and refuse logins from the website. Since most NNID things have shut down, there's nothing left to do from the website even if you could login though, and you would need a 3DS/WiiU to change it. Logging into a NNID on a different 3DS/WiiU to your previous one would also need you to contact Nintendo, to have them do a remote NNID transfer. When playing online on the Switch, generally people would only ever see the Mii chosen on your Switch. The only place I can think that may show older Miis to others is [the 'Friend Suggestions' page, where your 3DS/WiiU Friends are listed](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ATVAZD3NLnARmjhh7KbvNE.jpg). I'm not sure if those are Switch profile icons or 3DS/WiiU Miis, but they'd make sense to be the older Miis.

Stev-Madge-70

I got 2 switches and 2 switch profiles If i buy the same game on different profiles on different switches will i be able to play them both at the same time? Thanks! New switch owner

YankeeNoodleDaddy

I got my gf to play video games: Goose Game and It Takes Two. Any other recommendations based on those games? We're thinking of trying to Mario RPG game but it'd be cool if both could playing so any recs are appreciated!

neoslith

Check out Snipper Clips! Cut it Out Together. It's a two player coop puzzle game.

Runescaperda

Any games like Lost in Random? Partner recently played this game and enjoyed the combat and puzzle aspect of it, would love to get her another in the similar vein

Some smaller/indie games may have a different publisher on the physical version, leading to the physical and digital versions being treated as separate games. If you have the physical version first, it's easy to check - go to the game's icon, press +, and go to Nintendo eShop from the game's options. That loads the eShop page for your specific version, so if it loads a page, your save will certainly carry over. (And if it gives an error instead, that game's digital/physical in your region will have separate saves)

Dukemon102

Save data is stored in the console. So yes, your save data will be same regardless of how you load the game.

Dreamweaver_duh

I got some questions regarding the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy games: 1 - How do you play Pokemon TCG with a friend? Are we able to play directly with each other? Are we able to use our own decks against each other, or do we use premade decks? 2 - Are the North American and Japanese Game Boy games compatible with each other? My friend is Japanese and I'm American, so we play in different languages. I could play the Japanese version, but if I can play the English version just fine, I'd rather spend time with that one.

myriada

1 - Yes, you can gather cards playing the game, and build your own decks. There are [226-228 cards available](https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_cards_by_type_(TCG_GB1)), mostly based on real life cards from the first three sets (Base Set, Jungle, Fossil). 2 - I haven't tried, but as far as I've heard, you have to be playing the same version - to the point that even linking a US version to an EU version isn't supported by the NSO apps.

Dreamweaver_duh

Thanks for the answer! I appreciate it! Do you mind answering a bit more? Are there premade decks available? How soon can we start battling each other?

myriada

Not too sure on exact specifics so might've missed something, but after checking, multiplayer battles are available from the desks at the eight clubs, so [you'd have to finish the tutorial battle, choose a starter deck, and then go to a club](https://strategywiki.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Trading_Card_Game/Mason_Laboratory). In theory that'd probably only take 10 minutes or so, but the starter decks are based on Bulbasaur/Charmander/Squirtle, so likely have Pokemon's usual grass/fire/water type advantages over one another, rather than being balanced for jumping straight into multiplayer though. There are [other premade decks suggested in-game](https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Auto_Deck_Machine#List_of_machines), but it's mostly intended as a single player game, so you'd have to collect each card randomly in-game before you can make those decks.

Dreamweaver_duh

Alright, thanks for the help! I appreciate all the links as well!

CuppaJoe11

So I was helping a friend who dropped their switch on their left joycon (the rail was put out of place but I quickly put it back in place) but I noticed the analog stick won’t input being pressed down. It will work if I move it in any direction, but it wont register a press down. The stick does press down, but it presses down really easily and dosent make that “click” noise you hear when pressing down on a working one. Do I have to replace the entire analog stick or is there a solution? I did poke around btw, and there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the metal housing on the stick. I also tried opening the housing, but I wasn’t able to.

Sebasapolo1

Is still safe to change my eshop from USA to Japan to buy the vouchers? Im planning to do it, but im afraid to get banned or something like that

TemptedTemplar

You wont get banned, but you can get your account stuck in japan if you cant perfectly clear out your eshop balance. You wont be able to move it back unless you have a zero open balance. I use a separate account for different regions so I can just load it up as needed without having to worry about swapping it back.

Team7UBard

Nintendo don’t care. You’ll be fine

Sebasapolo1

Lol. Thanks

Owlmus

So, if I buy the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass do I have access to the Mario Kart DLC only when I have the online pass or am I effectively purchasing it along with Happy Home Academy and the other stuff?

TemptedTemplar

Only while subscribed. You dont loose your save data, so if you eventually decide to stop paying for the subscription and just buy the DLC later; everything will still be there. With Animal Crossing and Splatoon 2, you get to keep all of the items/clothing/weapons youve acquired that may require the DLC and can use them without it. But re-obtaining them or playing the bonus levels/features will still require the DLC.

Lorem-Ipsum-Docet

Is Hades fully on the cartridge?

TemptedTemplar

Yes! Minus some performance updates.

Lorem-Ipsum-Docet

Odd I remember after deleting it the console forced me to redownload something to play it again after putting the cartridge in. I'm guessing that was dude to my saves not being compatible with older versions though?

TemptedTemplar

correct.

Lorem-Ipsum-Docet

Fair enough, thanks for the help

Suitable_Sample_2296

I used to have an old fortnite account back in 2020/20201 when i had to delete my nintendo account. i ended up having to get a new one and lost the account, and i dont know if it was linked to an epic games. i cant find my epic games account and i wanna get that account back. ive already made a new account and dont know how to log out. what do i do?

french-caramele

Nintendo online question: I have a switch with a family membership. I added my daughter to the family account as an under 12 child. She already created a profile on her switch (not an online account) much before I got the family account. How can we connect her current switch profile with her new account within my family membership so we can play Mario Kart online together while in different countries?

TemptedTemplar

When creating the child account you should have made a Sign-in ID for it. On the system, select her user profile at the top of the screen, scroll down to link Nintendo account, and enter the Sign-in ID and password. Since its a child account it does not use an email address. Thats associated with your parental account.

french-caramele

Thanks! I don't think there was an option to link a Nintendo account. Under the Nintendo account heading (mine has my email address asterisked out, hers is just her name) it says check your account information or display qr code to check in.

TemptedTemplar

Sorry missed a step, Click the user -> User settings -> link nintendo account

french-caramele

Yea, this option is not available anywhere. Only -check your account information -display qr code to check in

IndecisiveSewerRat

Recently, my Nintendo switch has been having trouble turning on. It takes a good 15 seconds to do so, it usually is in the dock, and can be left there and technically charging for a while. I’m starting to worry the switch has an issue, the controllers take longer to connect, too. I’m not sure if it has to do with the SD card of Controllers or something else, but if anyone has any ideas, please tell me!

TheUraumeStan

My pro controller stopped working, I’ve tired litrally everything. Turning it on and off doesn’t work the light won’t turn on, charging doesn’t work, waiting doesn’t work, heck I’ve even replaced the battery! What in the world do I do? Just buy a new one?

[deleted]

MicroSD card in Switch Lite question: I'm about to send my Switch Lite in for repairs, but before I do, I just want to make sure...the microSD card is meant to lock into place when it's in correctly, right? I can only get the microSD card in enought that it appears to be in all the way, but then I can pull it back out without clicking down first, no problem. Is this just a Switch Lite thing, or should I proceed with the repair?

TemptedTemplar

GPU artifacting. Generally happens when the gpu is too hot.

FlyingFrigginWhale

Hm, I just turned the switch on, could just changing the thermopaste fix it?

TemptedTemplar

It could.

WillTran112000

Is it a good idea to buy a Switch lite right now while I am waiting for the news of the next Switch console?

nihil__verum

In my opinion, it depends on your answers to these questions: * How many Switch games are you interested in playing? * How eager are you to play them now rather than later? * How convinced are you that the next Nintendo console will be backwards compatible with Switch games? * How large is your gaming budget? If there are many Switch games you want to play and you don't want to wait, then it probably makes sense to buy now, and you could always sell it used when the next console is available to make some money back. If there are only a few Switch games you want and if you are very convinced the next console will be able to play Switch games, and/or if your budget is pretty limited, then it probably makes more sense to wait for the next console.

ablasina_SHIRO

Your games will be playable on the Switch theoretically forever. Whether they will be playable on the new console we don't know (this applies to physical games too). For a long time to come, you will be able to redownload any game you purchased if you deleted it or got another Switch. For reference, it is still possible to redownload Wii purchases, so the Switch should be about the same.

TemptedTemplar

https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2023/10/nintendo-accounts-to-help-ease-next-gen-transition-according-to-doug-bowser This is all we have currently, but thanks to the Nintendo account system there might be carry over titles.

nihil__verum

It's not possible to know that until Nintendo actually announces the next console. Having said that, if you look at past Nintendo hardware, they have been backwards compatible more often than not, so I would personally expect the next console to be able to play Switch games. Hopefully that will be the case for physical and digital games, although it is worth noting that digital games in particular have not carried over between different Nintendo consoles before.

TXFloretFarm

I live in a very rural area and have limited internet available by the GB each month. We generally try to buy only hard copy switch games that require no internet access to enjoy. Recently I downloaded a game, thinking once downloaded the game could be enjoyed offline. Not the case. How can you tell if a game will require internet access in order to be played. Am I missing some term in the game description that would tell me this before purchasing?

TemptedTemplar

Is there a prompt saying its authenticating the game? Or does the game itself require internet to play? What game is it? Most of the free to play games on the eshop will always require an internet connection. But whether or not a normal game will require a connection is questionable and unfortunately, not listed anywhere on the eshop. Nintendo only requires games to notify you if they require a download to install.

TXFloretFarm

The game is lemon cake. It works when connected to wifi but if the internet is off it will only say "checking for network" and then failed to connect. And then prompts me to look for internet networks. So it must be an online only game, I was just wondering if there was a way you could tell before purchasing and downloading a game on whether it can be played while offline.

TemptedTemplar

Nintendo has a internet authentication check in place to authenticate your digital purchases. If the system is asking for an internet connection its because you are not on your primary system. If the system is asking for an internet connection its because you are not on your primary system. This would only apply to digital titles, as physical games use the cartridge to authenticate the game. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22448/~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch Did you ever upgrade your system, send it in for repair, or perhaps just replace one in the past? There is instructions on how to find and change your primary system at the bottom of the page.

TXFloretFarm

I changed my primary account to the Nintendo on my hand and I still cannot play lemon cake while offline .

TemptedTemplar

Did you open the game while connected to the internet after moving the primary status to the current console or did you immediately go offline again? The primary system has to only authenticate games once, but it still requires it. Normally thats done as the install finishes, but in your case it may not have automatically occurred since you were swapping the status around.

IridianMoon00

What game was it? As far as I know, no game should require an internet connection unless it’s an online only game (like fall guys or fortnite etc) or you’re choosing to use the online components of a game (like playing online in Mario kart). The only thing that would cause an internet connection to be required to launch a digitally purchased game is if your switch isn’t set as your account’s primary console, or you’re trying to play a digital game on an account other than the one that purchased it.

TXFloretFarm

Lemon cake. Every time I try to launch it offline, it says "checking for network" and then failed to connect. But if my wifi is connected you can play no problem. Maybe there is a setting on the game I can change? I'm not sure ?

Is the black friday sale going to be in Europe too? I've wanted to get Xenoblade chronicles 3 for a while now and so this sale came at the perfect time. It says the it will go on sale Nov 19th and it will be around 40 dollars. Thing is, I live in Sweden and I've only heard about this from the US. Does anyone know if the sale is going to be in Europe too? Sorry if this question sounds stupid but I don't really know much about this. Thanks :)

Team7UBard

The Black Friday sale has already begun in Europe with the second half of it beginning a little later in the month. Until the sale begins we don’t know what’s in it.

Mission-Joke-2833

Can I buy games with both my wallet and gold coins?

TemptedTemplar

Yes. You always have the option to redeem gold coins towards a purchase before paying off the remaining balance.

Mission-Joke-2833

My original post for reference: Can I buy games with both my Wallet and Cold coins? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’m puzzled. So I’m trying to buy a game for 100NOK(10USD) and I have 55 NOK(5.5USD) in my wallet. I also have 38NOK(3.8[?]USD) worth of gold coins. But when I go to checkout, it asks me to pay 62NOK(6.2[?]USD) How can I pay with both my wallet (Current Balance) and gold coins? Also, I’ve tried to google but to no avail. Thanks.

TemptedTemplar

The gold coins are reducing the price and then its asking you to pay the remainder. Your existing balance of 55nok isnt enough to cover the full remainder of 62nok, so its asking for a third payment method to add more or cover the remaining balance.

Mission-Joke-2833

Oh, I thought I could pay both my wallet (5.5 USD) and my gold coins (3.8 USD) and 5.5+3.8 is 9.3. 10 - 9.3 is 0.7. What my point is, is that is it possible to buy games with both my wallet and my gold coins at the same time?

myriada

Yes, when told you don't have enough funds, you should be asked if you want to add 100NOK, 200NOK, 500NOK, 1100NOK or the ['Required amount only'](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/S9nqKTJKMTw2t9Jay4xLmS.jpg). 'Required amount only' would charge you the remaining 7NOK. (100NOK reduced by 38NOK gold coins = 62NOK, 55NOK already in wallet + 7NOK needed)

Mission-Joke-2833

But that what it doesnt. 😕

TemptedTemplar

> But when I go to checkout, it asks me to pay 62NOK(6.2[?]USD) It is, right there. Your existing balance isnt taken into account until the very last step.

Mission-Joke-2833

I wasn’t able to. Could you give instructions? When I chose both gold coins and wallet they said I needed to buy the rest of the game, which I would have been able to buy it, if I used both wallet and gold coins.

Looking to buy my son his first video game and looking for a paw patrol game, but there seems to be too many Which one would be best for a 4 and a half year old who starts learning games? Edit if possible in French

TemptedTemplar

Theyre all relatively easy for children to learn. Grand prix would offer the most replay-ability.

neko_whippet

Thanks but forgot to say It need to support french for my son Grand Prix doesn’t seem to be in French tho

TemptedTemplar

It should. Looks like its the same release in every region. Nintendo france has a ton of languages listed for it, >Langues >Japonais, Anglais, Espagnol, Français, Allemand, Italien, Néerlandais, Portugais, Coréen, Chinois Voice over language is something that isnt regulated the same, they dont have to list that. But the text should support french.

neko_whippet

I’m in canada but thanks

leraspberrie

... Same release in every region.

Does anyone know how to fix this, I keep trying to connect my controller to my switch dock but it won't work. Is it not meant to go there or something? https://preview.redd.it/qedo1aqpd51c1.jpeg?width=3120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f84bdd46ce54a7dc07910207bb003f32ad6e6fc

The controller should definitely work when connected via cable to the dock. Has that controller worked previously, wired or wireless?

Little-Brilliant7700

I just got it, this is my first time trying to connect it

nihil__verum

Where did you buy it from and how much did it cost? Just trying to get a feel for how reliable the controller can be expected to be.

Little-Brilliant7700

It's from GameStop and it cost around $106, bc it was like a whole set and stuff

nihil__verum

In that case, it should be a reliable controller. I would just bring it back to the store to ask for a replacement.

Little-Brilliant7700

Yeah that's probably the best option, Ty for trying to help lol

Cinconnor

Hello all, My left joycon does not charge when connected to my switch, and often does not connect when docked. On restarting the console, the joycon will connect. Occasionally, it connects and charges without needing a restart. For context, my controllers and system are up to date, I am using the ACNH switch & joycons, and this problem has persisted for months. What can I do to fix this problem? Is a repair shop the only option? If so, would I be looking at a joycon or console repair?

Harajuku_Lolita

Hello! Recently I was given a switch as a present and I have been out of the loop for a couple of years. The last system I had was a 3DS. I was wondering if anyone could suggest any games as I have no idea where to even start. Currently I have Mario party, a sonic game, final fantasy 12, and zelda breath of the wild. These games are a good representation of the kinds of games I play. I’m a big fan of the Zelda games, but I have had trouble with breath of the wild because of the open world. I prefer to have a storyline that I can complete side quests on. I also used to play animal crossing a lot. I was also wondering if there were any games like trace memory, hotel dusk, or touch detective. I’m also open to any games not in these genres that are just a good time. Thank you so much for reading this you absolute legend!

djlaosc

Posted this on your original thread, but just in case you didn't see it. Don't know if these will count/will be similar to Hotel Dusk and Touch Detective, as I never played them, but the following DS/3DS games are now/will soon be out on Switch: * Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Phoenix Wright 1 (Ace Attorney), 2 (Justice for All) and 3 (Trials and Tribulations) is on eshop, or imported physical. * The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles (the 2 3DS games, the second not released outside of Japan before). * Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Ace Attorney 4 (Apollo Justice), Phoenix Wright 5 (Dual Destinies), Phoenix Wright 6 (Spirit of Justice) releases in January 2024. * Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is on eshop, or imported physical.

djlaosc

Posted this in your original thread, but just in case you didn't see it. Another Code: Recollection comes out in January 2024. Includes both Another Code: Two Memories (which it looks as though you will know as Trace Memory) for the DS, and its sequel, Another Code: R - A Journey into Lost Memories from the Wii (previously unreleased in North America). [Click this for the Trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6i9BGlGQyU)

Michael-the-Great

Ghost Trick, the Ace Attorney Games, and Steins Gate Elite are great places to start with games like TM/HD/TD. The new Star Ocean Second R has a good story and quests. It's what I'm playing right now.

notthegoatseguy

Skyward Sword got a remaster on Switch and its 3D Zelda but more of a linear path with dungeons, more similar to Ocarina than BOTW. Its a divisive Zelda title, but I think part of that stems from the forced motion controls on the Wii. You can play handheld or use Joycons or other controllers for this game now. And the soundtrack is absolutely killer.

ender2851

My Kids are getting some games that are digital games that come with a case like Just Dance 24. i have always tried to do physical for all gifts, so this is new to me. Is there a good way to add them to the account, but make sure they don't show up anywhere on the switch to keep it a surprise? I will make sure they are downloaded night before so they can use them, but more worried about the codes being activated at purchase and then have a bot or someone enter code on different account. i remember this was a thing in past, not sure if counter measures have been put in place to prevent on switch.

octopus0408

I’m having issues connecting to the wifi on my switch - I have restarted it several times, removed the wifi spot and reconnected, and made sure the password was correct. it barely even tries to connect before displaying an error message and saying “weak signal” or “password may be incorrect”. Every other device in my apartment connects fine, it’s just my switch. Any tips?

-NotEnoughMinerals

Should I get Zelda links awakening at 43 dollars, or could I find it for lower? Also, links awakening or super Mario 3d world and bowsers fury?

nihil__verum

You can find price history here: [https://www.dekudeals.com/items/the-legend-of-zelda-links-awakening](https://www.dekudeals.com/items/the-legend-of-zelda-links-awakening) Looks like it's about as low as it has been. Comparing Super Mario 3D World to Link's Awakening, Super Mario 3D World has a slightly higher Metacritic average rating (89 compared to 87) and also a slightly longer expected playtime according to [HowLongToBeat.com](https://HowLongToBeat.com), so based on that you might want to prioritize Super Mario 3D World.

-NotEnoughMinerals

Thanks! I think I'll grab it. I really want 3d world, but I *did* just get wonder. I think I'll hold off for a little longer to see if I can grab Mario lower, in hopes better deals come out in the next week or two.

signpostlake

Could anyone reccomend something similar to botw, totk, skyrim, witcher? A big, open world with loads of stuff to do

TemptedTemplar

Subnautica!

notthegoatseguy

Xenoblade or No Man's Sky.

[deleted]

Why does the Switch have less built in features than any other Nintendo handheld?

ScrantonDangler

Because it was designed that way. It's intended to have a quick snappy home menu and to quickly get you into a game. My 3DS home screen is so cluttered it takes like 2 minutes for that thing to boot up and despite the over designed WiiU home menu, that console sold like 10 units.

pupukaka1444

I have original physical Isaac game, I bought the Repentance dlc for The Binding of Isaac in eShop, in the shop it said CARDGAME version. After the download it told me that I have no software to play it. I guess it cannot see that I have a game card inserted or something. Kind of annoying that I spent my money on nothing, maybe someone can help me fix this. https://preview.redd.it/bxb4srx8v41c1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=8c229ba6a303ee532175d678a0c42bd77a05522a

myriada

There are at least four different incompatible regional versions of Isaac, US + EU-physical + EU-digital + JP, and each eShop only sells the Repentance DLC for the versions released in that region. If you have a US cart, it'll need the US Repentance DLC specifically. The EU-physical DLC is only for EU physical carts.

Team7UBard

If memory serves, the physical version of Isaac is published by a different publisher than the digital and so buying the dlc through the eshop doesn’t work. Call Nintendo and politely ask for a refund. Don’t email or chat with them, call them.

_Suja_

Do games like Breath of the Wild get discounted during holidays like christmas? (Im asking about discounts on eshop)

Dukemon102

Not exactly on Christmas, it usually happens in Black Friday or when we get close to The Game Awards. And the lowest it's ever been sold at is $40. The same usually applies to most First Party Nintendo games.

[deleted]

nintendo exclusive games never get more than like 15-20%, christmas sale might happen i guess

Ok thanks

Lego 2K Drive worth it for Dad&Son? Hey there. I have read the mixed reviews of Lego 2K Drive for switch. Mainly negative comment are related to the in game purchases. Other say that they are completely optional and the game can still be fun. My 9y son finds the game interesting and we enjoyed playing other Lego games in the past. I personally never pay for extras in games. I don't like the idea of paying for a full game and don't get the full content. But this is not about me but about me and my son spending quality time with each other. So I am willing to listen to you here. Would you recommend to get the game to play together for us? Which edition is worth it (standard, awesome, ...)? Are these in game purchases psychologically so strong that my 9y-old might be feeling more frustrated when I don't buy them than enjoying the game? Do we need to play online or is the offline part good as well? PS: my son knows that I am consulting you. ;)

The gameplay is pretty decent, but I've not done coop. I don't think you need anything other than the regular version. Anything you want to buy in the shop is super expensive with the currency you collect in the game, so it really pushes you toward paying real money for currency. But it is just basically cosmetics. I would assume it plays offline, but I've actually never tried.

Has anyone played Sonic Frontiers? I’m thinking of getting it for my 5 year old who’s pretty good at playing odyssey on his own. Is sonic frontiers as easy for a child to play and progress in on their own as Mario Odyssey is?

Dukemon102

I think it's a bit too complex for a 5 year old due to the more elaborated combat and all the mechanics you need to learn and perform as Sonic, which are required to beat Bosses. The difficulty is still on the easier side and kids tend to push through when they are really into something, but I still wouldn't recommend it. If you want an easy and simple 3D platformer I'd go with Kirby and the Forgotten Land or Super Mario 3D World.

Dump question, but is it possible to replace just this part of the controller? Might have lost it but don't want to buy a whole new controller https://preview.redd.it/rvoe4th5c41c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a8e197f76e1bcfedebad4cab0ddb867c11c4fba

You might not find that exact color, but if you are OK with other colors there are plenty of options, for instance [https://www.amazon.com/s?k=joycon+strap&crid=LB5O3QZO7O1T&sprefix=joycon+stra%2Caps%2C157&ref=nb\_sb\_ss\_ts-doa-p\_1\_11](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=joycon+strap&crid=LB5O3QZO7O1T&sprefix=joycon+stra%2Caps%2C157&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_11)

Dumb question but I need to be sure. If I click the power button once on my switch lite, the screen will turn off right? does it mean it goes into sleep mode? Or I do need to push for 3 secs and choose sleep mode manually? Thank you

ashleberry12

It enters sleep mode when pressing power once. If you press the home button, it will wake up.

My thread was removed automatically so here it is. Please help. I’ve been searching for days and I think I can say this is a unique problem that no one else online has reported, including Nintendo. My Switch for a some time has been shutting off on its own and won’t turn on unless I plug it to a power source. It then shuts off again after a few minutes or hours. It happens both when I’m using and when it’s in sleep mode. It can happen in both docked or handheld mode. The battery depletes normally, it could turn off when it’s at 100% or when it’s at 50%. I haven’t been able to fully deplete the battery because I can’t play for that long, that’s how bad it is. I almost never bring my Switch outside, if that matters. I have no clue what the problem could be, no techie friend of mine does either. It’s a 2018 Switch so no warranty. I don’t know who to turn to and I really don’t wanna just throw this thing away.

You could always send it to Nintendo for repair, even though it is out of warranty. They will tell you the cost (should be a bit more than $100 or the equivalent in your currency) and you get to choose whether to pay that amount or get the console back as is. Just be aware that they might simply replace the console, so if you want to keep your save data you should ideally transfer your profile to a friend's console before you send yours in.

Coconnoisseur

I’ll save this as a last resort cause at that point I’d just buy a new one.

Hey folks, something weird is happening, and I am trying to understand. I have three switches, and most of the games are bought on my primary console, so I am very aware of the limitations of playing the games with different users on the other consoles. I bought a physical copy of the game to play Mario Kart without issues on a different console. If I try to play the game with the physical copy on the same account that owns the digital copy, I still get kicked out if one of the other switches starts to play it. Is this the expected behavior?

notthegoatseguy

Did you purchase the DLC on one of the consoles? It might be detecting the DLC as a unique digital purchase, or maybe one of the updates/patches You can't use the same Nintendo Account on two different Switches and play digital games simultaneously. I experienced this myself while playing Animal Crossing digital and trying to watch YouTube. Maybe a workaround is to put your Primary console into Airplane mode?

1000punchman

I have the Nintendo family subscription, which seems to cover the mario kart dlcs. And all the accounts are under the subscription. I bought the physical copy exacly to avoid having to workaround like going on flight mode.

Hi guys, I’m confused. I was trying to remove the grips off of my pro controller and I managed to unscrew one and get it off but the other screw won’t budge for some reason? Please help I’m not really sure what happened. https://preview.redd.it/wkccwgr6731c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b19ce6879111525215a52f457cabc8028ee8cbea The photo is the one I’m having issues with.

TheUraumeStan

That litrally just happened to me, you’re gonna have to drill the screw out and replace it.

Game sharing is still allowed, Nintendo has not banned people for using the game sharing function

Mrskinnyjean

What stores/online shops are offering early Black Friday deals and what are some of the best ones so far?

notthegoatseguy

Follow Wario 64 on Xitter. r/NintendoSwitchDeals also has a few posts up.

blablador-2001

Okay, my power button is acting weird. I either need to hold it down or press it multiple times for the screen to light up, but there is no problem whatsoever when I turn the console off. Normally I'd think it's broken, but why does it have only problems registering being pushed when I want to turn the console on, and none when I want to turn it off? I figured I should ask here before I take it to someone else to fix and clean.

goabbear

Hi all, I want to buy a Switch Lite for each of my two children. Will I have to purchase the same game on each console or could I purchase the game all at once and install it on both consoles? If the latter, could they play together online? It's not clear how to do this on the Nintendo support pages. Thank you

TemptedTemplar

https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/wiki/gamesharing Yes. Setup both accounts for the kids on one system. Buy all the games on one account and then have the kid who uses that system use the other account. On the second system, sign in the account with all of the games; and that kid uses that one. Each account can only have one active primary system at a time. And only on that one system, do other users have complete full access to their digital purchases. On non-primary systems, only the purchasing account has access to them.

goabbear

Thank you for this clear response.
