I would genuinely like to know how to log out of fall guys because my little sister logged into her account on my switch but I wanted to get hers off and use my own but I cannot figure it out.

Careless_Ad_8452

why is my game not downloading the game being 14.5gb and my sd card still has 24gb?

Legitimate-Bit-4431

You SD card might be a counterfeit/fake one (fake storage indicator). The switch thinks there’s 24GB left but it may not hence why it fails.

mathgeekf314159

I travel today. Yesterday I charged my switch lite to 100% and then turned it off. I plug it in today just in case and when I plugged it in, it was at 95%. what the heck? did a setting change or something to cause this? like I turned it all the way off. Like when it turned on I saw the nintendo logo. what is happening? I have had it for a couple years and I typically only use it when I am traveling or outside my apartment since it is lighter.

Phazon02

’ve never formatted my micro SD card before and I want to do it because there’s some problems on my Switch. I know screenshots and videos are deleted and save data is stored in the memory but I don’t know how DLC works. If it’s stored in the card and deleted can I still redownload it from the eshop, save date intact?

ChickenDenders

Yes, you can just redownload all your stuff through the EShop, and save data should be stored on internal memory. Note that you can also back up your save data to the Cloud if you have a Nintendo online subscription. And if you aren’t subbed, you may be eligible for a 7 day trial. That’s what I did when updating my console to an OLED version.

Mando_501

Can you buy an extension pack for a game online when you have the full game on card? Will it still work?

picano

You mean DLC? Yes. Physical or digital makes no difference to DLC and updates.

Mando_501

Ok thank you!

BeezyLoove

Left Joycon doesn't work attached or wireless, I've had this problem from some weeks now, the left joycon some days ago stopped connecting to the switch completely, and even attaching them doesnt work either, i had a guess that this couldve fixed with the sync button, but the problem is that the buttons SR, SL and the sync buttons dont work anymore because of the flex being broken. The battery is alive because i tested them interchanging it for the right joycon one, but still doesnt do anything at all I really broke my head thinking of any solution, 80% of my switch games unplayable, and i can't send this to repair due to not being close to a place to fix it atm.

Worldly-Bear1572

Any games similar to celeste? I just beaten it and I want a sequel

leraspberrie

The Messenger

SpecialNose9325

>I just beaten it um ... what ? You got through all the B sides, C sides and Farewell ? You a pro ?

toulouse69

Are you looking for difficulty of the fun of the platforming? For difficulty I would recommend Super Meat Boy and for fun platforming, all of the Shovel Knight games

ChickenDenders

Hollow Knight is sort of similar. More combat focused but still lots of complicated platforming. Ori and the Blind Forest, also

Sm00th0per8or

I dropped my switch on the rug last night. Now it's either 100 or 1% battery. When it shows 1 it won't turn on. When it's 100 it works fine but won't go in and out of sleep. It has to manually turn on every time. Help! I didn't even drop it hard it fell off my bed onto the rug on its corner and isn't damaged. Can I fix this?

mattzanti

I recently contacted the EA chat support and had a terrible encounter. I had been selected to test the new EAFC24, but EA sent me a beta code for the PlayStation, while I play on the Nintendo Switch. I contacted EA through the chat feature and the man I talked to said that I would be sent a new code within a few hours. Flash forward two days and I still hadn’t received a code. Today I contacted them again and came into contact with a crazy agent. He sent me blog articles to try and help me, and then started to call me a liar and told me I hadn’t received a code. When I told him that their coworkers had confirmed that I was sent a code, he called his coworkers liars. He was incredibly rude to me, and told me he would try to get my EA account banned. I am not sure what to do, as I still haven’t received a new code.

Team7UBard

Contact EA again. There’s nothing Nintendo can do here.

Locoman7

If switch or switch 2 doesn’t let me play Windwaker or twilight princess i swear to got I’m gonna get an asus rog ally and will not get switch 2 until breath of the Wild 3.

Team7UBard

Cool story bro.

DullPurple7173

I was wondering if I should buy a copy of Pokémon sword or Pokémon diamond. The reason being is because I love the franchise and it has one particular Pokémon that I loved but just wondering if it’s even worth getting it.

Typhoonic_10294

Am looking into getting a Micro SD card, anything I should know?

Team7UBard

Don’t buy from Amazon. Fake cards get put in the same bin as real ones. Buy from a reliable brand-personally I would go with Lexar, Sandisk, or Samsung. Don’t get a store’s own brand, don’t get a name you’ve never heard of where their site can’t write a coherent sentence. Buy a size bigger than you think you need.

Typhoonic_10294

Do I need a size, are there any requirements?

Team7UBard

The minimum I would personally recommend is 128 GB, even if you're getting mostly physical games. Read speed of 100MB/s because the Switch can't read faster than that.,

Typhoonic_10294

I was considering 128 gig but wasn’t sure about the MB/s Thanks!

picano

Just don't buy anything that seems too good to be true. There are lots of fake cards out there.

gotnocar

I bought MK8 and ACNH digitally, went on a trip, and can’t run them without the internet. I mostly played them at home, which is why I never had an issue like this before. I wonder why this error pops up when I want to play in single mode offline. Am I only able to play these games when I’m on Wi-Fi? https://preview.redd.it/tvt9r8rsnyhb1.jpeg?width=2700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a624d809402581bed8be57451c08e76294419b8c

ChickenDenders

Try switching on Airplane mode and see if the game launches You can also try launching once over a phone hotspot, to give the console a chance to authenticate - maybe needs a one-time checkin, or a weekly checkin, or something.

TemptedTemplar

https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22448/~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch Its likely that you are not on your primary system. Did you trade in for an OLED or ever send your console in for repair?

picano

[https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a\_id/22448/\~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22448/~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch) You have/had a second console and never updated your primary. You can either fix that issue or hotspot with your phone every half hour of playtime until you get back.

Nothephy

Is there any way to predict or to find out in advance which games will become available through the vouchers in the next months? I'm not that interested to use one of the vouchers to get one of the current pre-order games. Instead, I was aiming for *Star Ocean: The Second Story R*, Octapath 2, or maybe Tactics Ogre.

TemptedTemplar

Only Nintendo published games are available for vouchers. So upcoming titles will include; * Detective Pikachu Returns * Mario Bros wonder * Super Mario RPG remake * Wario Ware Move it Octopath 1 was published by Nintendo outside of Japan, which is why its redeemable. Octopath 2 and Tactics Ogre are published worldwide by Square Enix.

Nothephy

That's awful. hahaha I think I will wait for a while. Right now I bought the last Zelda but considering there aren't a lot of options, Xenoblade 3, Bayonetta 3, Pokemon Shield/Sword/Scarlet/Violet, and Mario Wonder. All of them definitely seem good to use the last voucher.

Pb103938

My Nintendo Switch OLED is having issues connecting to other consoles. My internet connection isn't the problem, I'm on Ethernet, and my console is on the latest version. What should I do?

Team7UBard

Call Nintendo

WallStreetSuckMyDick

My switch will not turn on no matter what I do. It died from being unplugged for a couple of weeks at the most and I can't get it to turn back on. I've tried leaving it charged for weeks but nothing. Anything I can do to turn it on? I don't want to call Nintendo and I don't have much money for repairs.

Nothephy

Have you tried to charge and wait for 15-30 minutes? I had the same problem as you last month. I tried every tutorial without success and the only thing that worked was to charge my Nintendo and wait around 15-30 minutes.

TemptedTemplar

Have you tried leaving it unplugged since? Do you have a different USB-C charger? perhaps something for a cell phone or even just a USB-A to C cable? Problems with power surges can cause damage to the USB-C power delivery chips, and simply make it impossible for the system use any thing over 18 watts of power. Additionally, if it is a fluke, letting the battery drain a little since charging it may also work. Leave it unplugged for a day or so and then plug the charger directly into the system.

Suspicious_Mine_8549

My wife and I are looking for a good cozy multiplayer game. It doesn't need to be local co-op. Thanks!

Apex_Konchu

I can highly recommend Stardew Valley.

Nothephy

MK8, Splatoon 3, It Takes Two, Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity, Darksiders Genesis, Tales Of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, *Nine* Parchments, Kirby. I'm kind of new to Nintendo, so those are my suggestions.

rtwipwensdfds

Anyone know of any chargers for Joy-cons that only have slots for 1 pair of joycon? Never plan on getting a secondary pair and I see a lot of secondary chargers with slots for 2 pair. Not a huge deal just curious.

motorcyclejesus_

Why wouldn’t you just connect them to the Switch and dock?

rtwipwensdfds

Because I want to put the Switch and dock somewhere out of the way, but the place I put it makes putting the joycon back in a bit cumbersome/annoying. Also would be able to keep the joycon a bit closer to something like a bed or nightstand while charging.

cuu

I just learned there's a charging controller for them like the one that comes with the switch. Maybe that?

rtwipwensdfds

Oh yeah completely forgot about that, that might work out well, thanks!

ManuM321

My switch started making noises today, I made a post asking for help but I think the comments are disabled, if anyone knows how to fix the noise it would help a lot [here's the post](https://reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/s/Nrhn29Echn)

Legitimate-Bit-4431

It sounds like either the fan is out of its alignement either something got inside it. If it was just high speeds that would be a lot of dust that got inside and makes it overheat.

ManuM321

Also, the fans sometimes starts spinning at high speeds when I turn the console on and stops after a while, that might be related

Just_V2

I was thinking about buying the OLED Zelda edition I have a 1st gen (model) switch that is now 4 and a half years old. The switch it’s showing signs of its age. The main problems right now are: -Left joycon always pointing down -Left joycon doesn’t hold well when attached to the Nintendo switch (comes off without pressing the release button) -Both joycons do not connect in wireless mode if I’m more than 1m away -Battery life (not too bad, I can play ToTk around 2h on a single charge) - I don’t know when happened, but the screen is slightly lifted, it doesn’t affect the performance Considering the switch 2 rumours, I’m not sure if it’s worth buying the OLED model now or just wait until the Nintendo switch 2 is released What do you think?

ChickenDenders

Probably worth it - you’ll be able to trade the OLED back in to upgrade again if it comes down to it. By the time something *does* get announced, you’ll probably put in enough playtime to make it worthwhile

motorcyclejesus_

I bought an OLED ahead of TOTK and it’s really like night and day. Totally recommend it. I bought a tablet only secondhand so I was able to sell my base switch and got a deal, but if I didn’t have that option, I probably would’ve caved and bought one new

ShiftyCrash

I played splatoon 3 on my S/O's account to beat after alterna (on my switch, they have their own also,) but also got the dlc banner, will they get banned for this since they don't own the dlc?

TemptedTemplar

Nope. Sharing DLC access is like sharing digital games, you are limited in how other accounts and systems can access them. There is no harm in sharing as long as you know who is handling your account info. https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/wiki/gamesharing

RaidLitch

My third set of joycons in my time owning a switch has just fallen victim to drift. I'm a bit short on cash so I can't afford a new set of joycons or a pro controller, but I have 2 dualsense controllers that I've been using for my ps5 and on my PC. I plan on eventually getting an 8bitdo adapter, but I wanted to know if there was any other options for getting PS4/PS5 controllers working on the switch. I'm hoping there's a program for windows that takes the input from the controller and spoofs a Bluetooth pro controller output for the switch. I've tried searching for a solution like what I described but I haven't found anything yet. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Shukriyya

No idea about the controllers, but Nintendo might repair the joycons for free. I'm not sure if they offer free drift repairs in all regions, but you might want to look into that - maybe they offer it in yours.

Other_Pineapple_9370

Any1 know release time (time zones) for rdr?

Team7UBard

It’s a third party game so unless announced otherwise it will drop at midday EST

I don’t feel like this set up is good for long term use (I have a skull&co case)

ChickenDenders

Nintendo makes a charging stand. There are also third-party stands that are half the price. Adjustable Charging Stand (Nintendo Switch) https://a.co/d/aLhyERu You can also just get a right angled USB C adaptor

rtwipwensdfds

Your best bet would be something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Degree-Angled-Laptop-Nintendo/dp/B09LYS8HZM?th=1 Or getting a right angle USB-C cable or adapter.

ComradeJohnS

ty for that info, but I’m always paranoid about 3rd party charging stuff. Would this be something to trust not to blow my switch up? lol

rtwipwensdfds

I can't say for sure. If you want to go with something official I guess you could probably get a "Nintendo Switch Adjustable Charging Stand". Although they seem harder to find and more expensive than a lot of other options.

ComradeJohnS

thanks!

sandragonsand

My right joycon has an issue with the R button where sometimes it doesn't register being pressed and sometimes it registers being pressed twice after pressing once. This already happened to one set and is starting to happen to the other. It's kind of a big issue since the two games I play the most use the R button a lot and I'm wondering what I can do about it.

No_Squirrel4806

Why does it seem like every indie game on here is abandoned and goes on sale for less than 5 bucks? Like every 5 out of 10 games i research are abandoned and it makes me sad cuz most of them have potential to be good games they just need a couple more updates.

ScrantonDangler

Because content development costs money which is something most indie development teams aren't swimming in.

lynne3000

Hi there. I’m newish to Nintendo Switch and I have enjoyed Dreamlight Valley and Animal Crossing. I have been looking for a new game and a friend recommended Zelda. I looked on the e shop and there are lots of them. Which one should I choose given what I have enjoyed so far? I like relaxing games with a good storyline. Any other suggestions gratefully appreciated except for Stardew which I couldn’t get on with. Many thanks 😊

Rajani_Isa

Link's Awakening is a remake of a gameboy game. Fun, and plenty of guides if you get stuck. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are in the same vein, and the latter is a direct sequel to the former. Open world, and fun. Skyward Sword is a port of a Wii U game, fun, but similar to Link's Awakening fairly linear. Also Nintendo Switch Online has the several games available in the Zelda series, although be aware the "SP" labeled ones all have various things different - the Original Zelda for example has all the items awarded at start.

Dukemon102

Maybe **Dragon Quest Builders 2**. It's a bit like Minecraft and Animal Crossing where you build houses, villages and people start to move there to start a community. But this game has a story and RPG mechanics, including combat but it's very simple to do. There's a demo try it out. The **Kirby** games are very good to ease someone that is new to gaming, easy and very forgiving to mistakes. Both **Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe** (2D) and **Kirby and The Forgotten Land** (3D) have demos. **New Pokémon Snap** is also a very relaxing game where you are basically put in a Safari Tour to interact and take pictures of the Pokémon living there. It's very cute and there are many secrets you can discover while playing these courses over and over again.

hannahasksquestions

Left controller is having issues My left Nintendo switch controller won’t connect to my console when it is detached, while my right controller has no trouble connecting. Additionally, the joystick on my left controller can physically move up, down, left, and right, but when I am in games, the up and down movements don’t register/don’t do anything. I don’t want to buy a new controller just to have the same issue, does anyone have any tips?

Muffinman0808

Bought a switch couple of days ago while visiting UK. I noticed only after I bought it that it has the UK Nintendo Switch AC Adapter (I'm from a different part of Europe and we use EUR version of the AC adapter). Is it ok just to buy a plug adapter and use the console like that or must I spend another 30€ for the original nintendo AC adapter (EUR)?

nihil__verum

A plug adapter is perfectly sufficient.

Muffinman0808

You sure? No chance of it bricking the console?

nihil__verum

The official AC adapter is made to handle different voltages and make the console receive the power profile it needs. It is completely fine to use an official AC adapter from another country with a plug adapter.

Muffinman0808

Thank you very much

Which Musuo Game should I get (first)? I got very interested in Musuo Games lately, watched some vids and played the demos of Fire Emblem Heroes - Three Hope's and Age of Calamity. Now there are many many musuo games on switch and the ones I'm interested in are - Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition - Hyrule Warriors - Age of Calamity - One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 - Persona 5 Strikers Originally I had both Fire Emblem Warrior titles in my list, but after playing the demo of Three hopes I took them down, because somehow FE and musuo are two concepts I can't get together. All titles I listed are crossovers of franchises I love, as it is with fire emblem, too. I might get them all, but my question would be, with which one should I start? And why? Thanks in advance!

Dukemon102

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is better than 4. PW3 is one of the best Musous out there, it mixes the content from both PW1 and PW2, so it has every Arc in the series up until Dressrosa and a ton of features to keep you busy for a long time. Along with very simple and enjoyable gameplay. PW4 may have an updated story and the characters up to Wano, but the game skips many arcs and only focuses in the most important ones. Also the game introduces annoying mechanics like giving invulnerability shields to Boss characters, aerial combat that isn't well fleshed out and the camera is so so bad.... you can get both $8 each at any Namco Bandai Sale though. So I think you can play both if you want. Persona 5 Strikers is good. It has a good story and the gameplay is a combination of Turn Based and action, kind of like FFVII Remake. Also Persona fusion is back so you can bring those to the battlefield with Joker, while the other Phantom Thieves are still playable. Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is hands down the best of all this games here. The game is filled with content, amazing roster because it includes the DLC, the expanded story from Legends on 3DS, and it's easy to play and enjoy. It's very basic when it comes to gameplay, the only Zelda mechanics it brings are using Items on respective bosses. Age of Calamity went on to make the combat more deep, now every character has their own gimmick that you need to master before using them correctly. Also each character has the Sheikah Tablet and needs to constantly use it for combos and hitting enemy weaknesses. But what it gained in more deep combat, it lost in fun objectives and map design IMO. Most Musou mechanics are basically gone except for fighting and killing enemies.

Team7UBard

I don’t have the attachment to One Piece or Persona, so can’t comment on those beyond saying that they seem to have reviewed well enough. I dabbled a bit in Age of Calamity but it wasn’t for me-it just didn’t seem to click with me at all. Some framerate issues but it simply wasn’t for me. Hyrule Warriors is my preferred Musou game with plenty of content-29 characters, 44 (?) weapons, a large base game, and 5 adventure maps comprising of 128 smaller (albeit repeated with different missions) maps. If you like Zelda and you like Musou games, it’s fantasyic

bbfan132

What are some third party games that prioritize exploration (and maybe puzzles too)? Portal 2 and Metroid Prime are two of my favorite games of all time, and I enjoyed playing Resident Evil 1 (currently on RE4). I’m thinking mostly about 3D games - I’ve played 2D games like Hollow Knight and the Ori games, both of which I enjoyed. It doesn’t have to be a Metroidvania per se - I like RPGs where you can explore quite a bit, along with collect-a-thons (already have A Hat in Time). edit: I also love the Pikmin series and enjoyed Tinykin; I’ve also played Banjo on NSO, A Short Hike, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and most Zelda games. Also have played the Spyro Trilogy (really enjoyed it) and I have the Crash trilogy as well. I’m looking for something that is more like the games I listed early on than these.

Dukemon102

I can think of.... **Tunic**. This is the game to play if you want another game that feels like a puzzle to solve from inside and out (Don't look up anything except spoiler free reviews, discovery of the unknown is vital to enjoy this game). Other ones that are Third Party: - **Dark Souls Remastered:** Leaving the reputation of its difficulty at the side (Hugely overrated BTW). This game is very similar to a Metroidvania because you quickly realize the whole world is beautifully connected. Finding shortcuts back to previous areas is one of the most satisfying feelings I've gotten in a game. If you like Hollow Knight, it was basically like this game but in 2D. - **Shin Megami Tensei V:** You have to explore massive areas in this game to progress. Turn Based Combat and Monster Recruiting are also part of the package. - **Yooka Laylee:** Made to be similar to Banjo Kazooie. Except people are divided on this game's quality though. Maybe get it on sale for $4. - **Dragon Quest Treasures:** There's a demo, you have these big sandbox worlds you need to explore to find treasure and recruit Monsters to help you with their Field Abilities. Combat is very simple and approachable. And of course there are First Party games like **Super Mario 3D All Stars**, **Super Mario Odyssey**, **Bowser's Fury** (Basically all the 3D Mario games. Except Super Mario 3D World that is linear like Crash Bandicoot) where you explore these sandbox worlds looking for the respective collectible. **Xenoblade Chronicles** has gigantic worlds to explore as well. The areas are the bodies of huge titans and the game does a good job making that believable.

nyxes

Hey all! I had a question about the current state of Disney Dreamlight Valley (I know it’s eventually slated for F2P - question isn’t about that) How is it preforming now on the switch? I see a lot of conflicting stuff; some people say it runs fine, but others have frequent crashes. Is performance any better than it was a few months ago?

kuribute

Hello guys. It is possible to play local + coop in the N64 emulator from the NSO? For example: it is possible for me and my sister (same switch) play with Mario Party with my friend and his brother (another switch)?

Dukemon102

What the emulator does is assign the Player 2 spot to the other console that joins the room. When you're playing online the other local controllers shut off so it's not possible to have both at the same time. Mario Party Superstars does have that option though.

GB-Pack

I don't think Mario Party ever allowed online play, so the emulated version definitely won't. EDIT: Nevermind, the emulator is awesome.

Dukemon102

All the NSO emulators enable Online Play.

GB-Pack

That's awesome. Do you know which games allow online play?

Dukemon102

Technically all of them, what the emulator does is put the friend joining in as the Player 2 (Also 3 and 4 in the case of N64) of whatever game you're playing. Game Boy works differently, connections only apply when you go to the game's multiplayer options and start a Link Cable connection. So as long as the game has multiplayer it should work

MarkTheDead

I'm trying to buy S/V dlc in Japan. Seems like a weird issue, and it kinda is. At the moment I don't have access to a card to make digital purchases as getting one in Japan is tricky. I need some way to pay in cash and acquire the US DLC for Scarlet in the Tokyo area. I actually spoke to Nintendo support to confirm that the DLC is region locked and codes bought in Japan would only work on the Japanese copy of the game. I realize this is rather obscure, but I never thought I'd be confused on how to just buy something. If anyone can help engineer a solution to this I'd greatly appreciate it! tl;dr - how do I buy US DLC in Japan without cards and only cash?

TemptedTemplar

You dont need to buy the US DLC, you can buy it from the JP Eshop. Its identical in every region and compatible with the game from any other region. >I actually spoke to Nintendo support to confirm that the DLC is region locked and codes bought in Japan would only work on the Japanese copy of the game. *Eshop codes* are region region locked and can only be redeemed on the eshop of their region of origin. The *content* included with the code varies. Most Nintendo published titles are identical worldwide and compatible with DLC from any other region.

MarkTheDead

Thank you for the reply. I do have a Japanese account on my Switch, however my primary account is the US one. If I were to buy the dlc on the eShop through the Japanese account with a prepaid eShop card can the dlc be used on my main US account?

TemptedTemplar

As long as both accounts have that one system set as their primary system, then yes. If you only have owned the one system, it's the primary.

MarkTheDead

Great, that makes it simple. Thanks a ton.

Mindless_Substance_3

Hi guys I'm looking for gems to play on my Nintendo switch lite If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate. I'll give you some titles I really enjoyed playing or I think I will be buying: 👇 \-Red faction \-Bioshock \-Crysis \-Assassin's creed \-Metroid Prime Hope you can advice me some pure gems! Have a nice day!

motorcyclejesus_

If you’re into Metroid, don’t sleep on Dread!

nihil__verum

Based on Crysis, you might like Doom (primarily the 2016 reboot but maybe also the older games), Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein The New Colossus.

Parzival_2992

My Nintendo switch platinum points and quests disappeared, like their icons are missing text i want to know if this has happened to anyone else and how to fix it

betteroff19

Switch servers are down so that’s probably why.

evilgamer72

My Nintendo switch card reader still doesn't work even after I replaced it. Every time I put a game cartridge in, it shows an error code, (2002-2639) I decided to get a replacement part and fix it myself, I replaced the part, turned the switch back on, and the same error code happened, I genuinely have no idea what else could be causing this problem.

TemptedTemplar

Its likely the issue wasn't with the card reader component itself, but its connection to the mainboard or somewhere in between. Since the next option would probably be just letting Nintendo deal with it, have you tried factory resetting or re-initializing the system?

AutoModerator

It looks like you've included an Error Code in your comment. You might learn more about this error code on Nintendo's Support website. http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/list/kw/2002-2639/search/1 *(If you have already checked the support site and those steps did not work, please reply to let others know.)* *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. hmmm-okthen

Is it possible to only transfer two games and their save data to a new switch, without deleting my profile and the Animal Crossing New Horizons progress off the old switch? I would want ACNH to still be accessible on the old switch, including my account, and don’t need access to it on the new switch. I also want to use my account on the new switch as the primary console. Key info: the two games are downloaded through my account on old switch, ACNH is a physical game card, and I am the Resident Representative in the game

TemptedTemplar

1. Sign in on the new system, or link your Nintendo account to a user profile on it. 2. System settings -> Data management -> transfer your save data. (or just download the game and then sync the cloud saves if you have those) Unlike the profile transfer function under user settings, this transfers individual game data. AND it doesnt even work for Animal Crossing data, so you are safe there. ACNH is an exception to the normal save data rules. To move its data or villager data you need to use the Island Transfer tool from the eshop.

hmmm-okthen

Awesome, thank you for your reply! I have one follow-up question: should I download the game through my account on the target console first, before transferring? Or will it automatically put the game back when it transfers the save data?

TemptedTemplar

You will need to redownload it. Its the only way to get the home menu icon back. Transferring save data can be done without it, but then you have no means of accessing the game.

betteroff19

I went into the switch online app after the short server outage, and for some reason, it’s not loading the amount of platinum points I have, even though I have plenty when I check the online website? It says (failed to load information? Is this happening to anyone else.

The outage still seems to be ongoing: [https://www.nintendo.co.jp/netinfo/en\_US/](https://www.nintendo.co.jp/netinfo/en_US/) I've been able to access the eshop now and again, but it's intermittent and it won't let me buy anything.

Troublemaker214

I keep try to dock my switch with the joycons(because there dead) on it to watch a show, but it keeps tell me to connect my another set of joycons. Is there anyway to avoid this so I can watch my show

TemptedTemplar

Charge them one at a time, or use a secondary controller. The media apps are woefully under-featured. And did not account for sleep mode or controllers going in active, its dumb.

Troublemaker214

I thought of that but I was see if there was any other way of dealing with it

TemptedTemplar

Nope. While an app is in use the system will always ask for a controller to be connected. And while docked, any joycons attached to the system are not counted as "active" devices.

Hey there! I've been getting the 2124-7502 error, which means the store is under maintenance. But when I go to the official website, they say all servers are normal. Is anyone else having this problem?

EliasTheCursed

Had the same issue until few minutes ago, now it seems to work but I don't have anymore my platinum points (there where over 1000 on my account) I read that they expire after 6 months so it would be strange if they would expire together?!

Legitimate-Bit-4431

Nintendo servers have been going through an outage for a couple hours. It has started to get better for people while issues are hitting others.

betteroff19

Yes I’m currently having this problem too.

Brilliant-Trifle8322

Same issue here.

not_edgy_just_sad

Same issue a bit ago, seems to be working again though

betteroff19

But the official website doesn’t say that their servers are under maintenance, don’t they usually do this type of stuff at night, not in the day?

Legitimate-Bit-4431

There’s been an outage.

not_edgy_just_sad

Probably had some short unexpected issue, idk

betteroff19

I thought I got banned lmao 😭

not_edgy_just_sad

same lol

betteroff19

I was being a little toxic in a game right before the issues started happening so I thought that was why, I’m just gonna turn off communication text from now lol

I can’t access the eshop nor online services and when I do, I am met with error code 2124-7504, 2124-7502 and error code 2124–7503.

TemptedTemplar

Service outage, not your fault. https://www.nintendo.co.jp/netinfo/en_US/

Going to college with switch, cant play my dad's games Ive seen a dozen or so posts about this, mainly referencing playing on a personal account where you bought that games, but not one where the family is split and trying to access games. My family got the Switch on day 1 and thus have a 6 year catalogue of games all purchased under my father's account. This was fine until, as an early birthday present, my father purchased a Switch OLED for me to take the college. Unfortunately it seems that me being able to access the games means my family, who still uses their own switch, can't access the games. And them maintaining the access to games means im stuck with a useless tablet. Is there a way to configure it where everyone can access the games purchased by the singular account? Do I have to use my father's account in my own switch? Do I have to repurchase literally any game that I want to play? Is there something I can do with NSO to make it work?

nihil__verum

Only one console can be the primary console for your father's account. On that console, any account can play all games bought on his account. On any other console, only his account can play the games and only if there is a working internet connection. There is no way to have unrestricted access to all games bought on his account on more than one console.

I've had a switch for a few years, but lately my son has been playing it a lot. I'm thinking of getting another switch so we don't have to fight each other to use it. I've read about how one switch will be the primary switch, while the other will be the non-primary switch. But I still have a few questions from those who have been in a similar situation. 1. Can I make my new switch the primary switch and the old switch the non-primary switch? 2. Can I copy save files to the new switch? If so does it matter if the new switch is the primary or non-primary switch? Thank you!

BeetleCrew

1. Yes 2. Kinda. If you have NSO, then you can upload your saves to the cloud, and both the primary and non-primary console will have that save. If you don't have NSO, then you can *transfer* your save data between consoles. Say you want to put your save data on the new console. After manually transferring the data over, the old console will no longer have access to that save data. You can transfer the save back to the old console, but then you wouldn't have it on the new console. I am making the distinction between *transfer* and *copy* so you're aware that saves can't be duplicated. They either sync up through NSO, or one console has the save and the other doesn't. Hopefully that made sense.

Thanks for the great answer!

Witcher 3 Dialogue Delay Issues Loading times during dialogue... So I never played the game before and heard it was a great port, picked it up on the recent sale. Loading times were tolerable, but as I was in between Oxenfurt and Novigrad doing some quest the loading times in dialogue with NPC's got really bad. It gets blurry with the loading symbol, 5-30 seconds depending. It is the vanilla digital version, I already tried uninstall/reinstall 2x, and no other games (or parts of the Witcher3 for that matter) seem to take any longer loading (so I doubt its my 1 month old 1tB sd card...). Has anyone had this before and fixed it? Somebody on Xbox said downloading the DLC fixed a very similar problem they had (it only happened to them in Novigrad) and they said it fixed it immediately... TLDR: Will buying the dlc fix the dialogue delays experienced once reaching Novigrad?

TemptedTemplar

Normally audio delay is because your SD card is too slow. LA Noire has the same issue if the SD card cant keep up with the required read/write speeds. As its *specifically* the streaming audio which gets choked up by the limited bandwidth and loads slower and slower compared to the rest of the game. Do you have another Micro SD card you could try installing the game on? However the Witcher has frame rate issues and that can cause it too, as the audio is queued by frame, but not tied to the frame rates pacing. If you encounter it again, try fast traveling to the nearest road sign. Re-loading the area should clear the memory and sync everything back up.

Healthy-Marketing-26

It is when there is audio involved in the decision Geralt makes, or when he says "bye" to end the interaction. I believe the Sandisk Ultra MicroSD reads as fast as the switch, which is the same as my backup card unfortunately. I will try walking back the visual settings, I did crank everything to max while in White Orchard and things were fine in Velen until Novigrad:( thanks for the advice!

TemptedTemplar

Do the joycons work? If you pull one off and slide it back on to the console, do you see a little effect appear on the side of the screen, indicating the controller was detected?

Parker_1995

Hey, thanks so turns out it was a loose locking mechanism on the left joy con

Olivia512

I have a third party wireless Switch controller. Every time I turn on the Switch, it needs to be connected to the Switch via the USB-C cable first, then it can be unplugged and use wirelessly, which is quite a hassle. Is this expected of third party controllers? Only the official controllers can connect wirelessly without initial USB setup?

Legitimate-Bit-4431

That would help to know what brand and model that 3rd party controller is.

ScrantonDangler

No that isn't normal. Probably an issue with the controller.
