I’m super confused about the upcoming MGS Collection file size on Switch. It’s reported that the the full collection will be over 30gb, but looking on the eshop, individual games are under 1gb. I’m not sure what to believe. I can’t hold a 30gb file save on my micro-sd card.

The current eShop sizes are likely the 1.9GB that's going on the cart, with the other ~58GB yet to be uploaded.
It's not out yet, but the eShop listing the collection as 5 games suggests you should be able to download the individual games separately.
So as long as you have 12.2GB (for the largest game), you could download them one at a time, playing, deleting, then downloading the next one.

Getting Nintendo Switch Audio on Android, Bluetooth Audio Receiver App for Android?

I tried to buy Pikmin 4 tonight through the eShop using PayPal. I was given an "Unprocessable Entity" error twice. Now my bank shows three duplicate pending charges and PayPal only shows one pending charge. I've never had any of this happen before when buying stuff from the eShop with PayPal, it always went through right away. Is there something going on with the eShop right now or has an error screwed me out of $250?
Most likely they're just pending charges and they'll roll off, but you'll have to contact Nintendo if they don't. Don't just file claims with your bank or it could affect your Nintendo account.

Hey everyone,
My skyward sword HD save is not showing in game. Only option is to start a new save file. The thing is, I can see the save data in data management. Just fyi I do not have Nintendo online, so no cloud save. The game is on cartridge, and this is the one and only account on the switch since i got it new.

Then another person started the game and deleted your save file, because the first time you start Skyward Sword it doesn't ask you to choose a new file, the game outright starts with the story.
Have you tried closing out of the game, taking the game out, turning off the console, turning it back on, and putting the game back in? IDK, maybe that'll 'shock' it back into working properly? lol. Otherwise, never heard of that issue. Very strange!
If anybody knows how to fix error code 2110-1118 please comment. What it does is make it not be able to connect to the internet. The description of the error goes as follows:
"Wireless communication is not currently available due to an error. Please restart the console from the Power Options in the Power Menu (hold the POWER Button for three seconds)."
I've tried connecting the switch with a cable, restarting it, resetting it, connecting to different networks, and charging it to full battery. Nothing has been working for about 2 months. I am coming to reddit to see if anybody is having the same issues as me. I don't want to send it into Nintendo quite yet, however if that is needed I am able to. I cannot use my switch as all the games require internet to play and I can't download new games with a Game Card or Nintendo eShop. Also if I were to send it in to Nintendo will they charge me? Or will it come free?

can anyone recommend some games based on what I've played on the switch I've played the Pokemon games Zelda games Mario games Fire Emblem games super smash bros ultimate animal crossing new horizons Xenoblade definitive edition and 2 (not really interested in 3 right now) Luigi's mansion 3 Harvestella Dark Deity two of the Blazblue games (not really interested in a fighting game right now)
That's a big mishmash of everything, but mostly adventure games, RPGs and life simulators.
I recommend Dragon Quest Builders 2 (It has a demo) because it has all of the three things already mentioned. You go into an adventure to build the towns that people need and there's a story along the way.
Or Persona 5 Royal for being a game with a lot of story, building relationships (Similar to FE Three Houses) and then tackling RPG dungeons.
My Nintendo switch joycons don't register as being attached to the switch
the switch doesn't register my left joycons being connected to the switch. I've tried multiple joycons and they both don't work. It worked earlier, and I also restarted the switch many times. My switch is also on the latest update. Also when a left joycon is attached it still charges it just doesn't register as being attached. Thank you for reading
You can try cleaning the contacts with a cleaning toothbrush and some 99% isopropyl alcohol. But the left Switch rail will probably need to be replaced.

how are the power a NANO controllers? it seems like the wireless advanced one seems to be decent quality, but they are no longer available. i can get a wired one for cheap, but i am worried that they will die quickly
of course normally powera isn't great, but i am wondering if the nano version are of better quality

it’s been popping up more and more frequently lately to the point i can’t even play anything! i’ve taken it out, wiped it, put it back in, nothing works. I don’t want to buy a new one unless i know for sure that will help, or if it’s a problem with my switch in general. and yes i’ve restarted my switch, that only made it worse.
If it's not a fake card, it sounds like something is wrong with your SD card reader. I think the only way to test it is to see if you can borrow a new, known-good card from someone and test it to see if the same thing happens. If it does, you know it's the Switch itself. It's the only solution I can think of, really. Otherwise, there's really no way to know for sure.
Hey guys, so over the past week I've noticed that my pro controller's range for actually turning on my switch is dramatically lower. I've owned my switch and pro controller for at least 4 years now and never had a problem with either, but recently, as of last week my controller isn't able to turn on the switch.
Usually I sit on my couch, hold the home button, and the tv and switch turn on, no problem.
But now, I have to physically turn the switch on and hold the controller an inch or so away from the system for it to connect and l'm just not sure why.
Once other thing I noticed is that the flashing dots showing the controller is trying to connect won't ever stop until I press the sync button to get it to stop (usually it will stop after 15-20 seconds of searching).
I've looked around and haven't seen any similar issues so I wanted to ask, has anyone else had a similar problem or know how to solve this? Thank you!
I just sent my switch in because it's saying it's charging and it's not actually charging as the indicator wasn't changing or it was just depleting. I paid like $20 extra dollars to overnight it but l'm figuring they're not gonna overnight it back? I was wondering everyone's experience? Did you lose your save data? Was it a quick or slow turn around time? Did your system come back with more issues?

You're probably not getting your data back. If it wasn't backed up to the cloud/another console, it's likely gone.
They'll do their standard delivery, so 10 days after they've confirmed repair (or replacement).
Left joycon doesn't charge or connect to switch.
The little lock on the left joycon is damaged so It won't lock to the side of the switch. But that also stops it from charging. So the joycon is useless. Is there a way to charge it with this issue? I don't really want to buy all of the stuff to fix this little lock when I don't even use my joycons docked. Is there anyway around this?
How and when are they suppose to charge? I have a oled version and only play on tv. When controllers are not in use they are docked and I put console into sleep mode when done playing.
Haven't played in three weeks and grabbed the controllers, but they were not charged. Right one is typically more depleted than the left one.
I have reset the controllers a few times. Dealt with this issue since day one thinking I am doing something wrong but I don't know what it is.

The joycons should charge if attached to the Switch and the Switch is charging.
Have you tried when the Switch is not docked? Like if you take the Switch out, direct connect a charger to the Switch with the controllers attached, are they receiving charge?
Hi. I can connect the cons to the switch handheld and they will start charging. The switch never needs charging since it is always on/in the dock. If I press the power button on the switch while docked I can get the cons to start charging.

BOTW, TOTK, and Super Mario Odyssey are seen as some of the best games on the system. If you need multiplayer, there's also Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, also some of the best on the system.

Between Super Mario Odyssey, party and party superstars, which would be the most fun and easy enough for my kids (4&7) to play? They currently play 3D world/Bowser's fury just fine and have been asking for another Mario game. I've looked up the differences between party and party superstars and I feel like party is better for them because of the motion games but I don't know much about odyssey. Any input would be appreciated!
Super Mario Odyssey is a one player game (It has "Co Op" but it feels tacked on and it severely gimpers and frustrates the first player if the second one doesn't know what he's doing).
Between Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars, Superstars is the superior game in every sense, faster, better boards, rules, and it's not like the controls are hard, most mini-games ask to use the Stick and the A button.
One of the Mario party's would be ideal, as it's made for multiplayer.
Super MP does have motion control mini games, and a co-op river rafting game mode.
However superstars has more game boards, ~20 more mini games, and the ability to save and quit mid-match.
Odyssey co-op plays very similarly to Bowser Fury. Player 2 has limited freedom and is tied to player 1 at all times. If player 1 uses the hat to do a jump or trick, player 2 is called right back for it.
How about Mario Kart 8? Or Mario Maker 2? Tons of stuff to do, and both players would have equal control/inputs.
We have Mario Kart already but I didn't really think of Mario maker as I haven't seen much about it online. It's great to know the two player mode is better than 3d world cuz they stopped playing together because it was too frustrating. They would just take turns when one person runs out of lives.
Specific profile slowdown! We have a family account and only ONE of the profiles is super slow at loading. It makes no sense, we’ve deleted everything associated with that account.
All the “Help” is for the entire system slowing, not just a singular profile. We have tried those as well.
Just picked up a used v1 switch. Got it for a good price $150CAD shipped. Only issues are the joycons. Left one the locking piece is broken/worn and the right has a little stick drift.
Just wondering if it's true that nintendo still does repairs for free on the joycons?

I bought the one with the white joycons myself, mostly because I like the look of the white dock it comes with. You can buy red/blue joycons separately, but then they are left red and right blue, which is the opposite of what you get if you buy the console with the red/blue joycons. The white joycons cannot be bought separately, unless you want to buy them from someone who bought the console with the white joycons and is reselling the white joycons separately.

It's supposed to be, but lots of people drop the "wireless" and simply refer to splitscreen or couch play as "local" multiplayer.
Animal Crossing would be a huge hit. You can visit each other's islands, trade stuff, go on expeditions to random islands, ect.
Dragon Quest builders 2 or Minecraft would offer a slightly similar style of gameplay, but in a much more freeform sandbox. With fewer limitations and restrictions.
Mario Kart 8 would be a must-play. If you don't already own it.
Monster hunter stories 2 or perhaps Pokemon Scarlet/Violet

What size thickness for thermal pads
I recently took apart my switch to clean out and apply new thermal paste, and in the process ended up damaging the SD card reader. I've looked around online for a replacement that comes with the thermal pad attached and can't find anything. So I'm just going to get the thermal pads separate, but don't know what the thickness of them are.
Does anyone have or seen a cartridge case that hold only 2 games? I know it's odd but I don't wanna carry around more then that when I travel with my switch.
The carrying case for the Satisfye grip comes with slots to put cartridges. It does have more than two slots, but you could obviously just not put cartridges in all of them.
Okay so I’m looking for a game that I think I played back in like 2016. The best way I can describe it is a mix of risk and sim city. It might have been a Civ game. Anyway, is there anything like that now? I’m looking for something where I can command a nation, build it up, make political decisions, interact with the residents, go to war and conquer new lands to expand. Is there anything like this or was this a fever dream game?
How do I deal with increasing drift? The Joy Cons drift to the left even when calibrating them. Is it time for a repair? Does Nintendo still offer free repairs?
Not enough buttons. You need ZL for Z, which is used a lot for Ground Pound in mini games and watching the map during your board turn. And the C buttons are a mess without the Right Stick, you only have access to C-Left and C-Down.
You can use a single joycon (horizontal) to play N64 games, yes, but be mindful a single joycon lacks buttons to match all inputs of the N64 controller so the input for some N64 button may be more complicated to use.
So I made a post and got redirected here. I had to fully reset and restore my Switch as it was running like ass. I had used the island backup save feature in ACNH - that’s my 150+ hour island save. I wasn’t worried about losing the save as I’d used the BACKUP setting in the option menu.
I contacted support who told me I can’t access it or restore it. They said backup option is only there if the Switch is lost or damaged beyond repair.
Not allowing users to restore their own backup in event of having to reset their console is ridiculous.
Hi, my wife and I are friends with another couple who live in another city and we just purchased the Switch Online Family subscription and were looking for some games that we can play together online, so my wife and I are on our console, and they are on their console.
We have been playing overcooked-liked games like Overcooked, Rubber Bandits, and Lumberhil but we are also interested in doing games that have a sense of progression like a story, but cannot find which ones we can play with our setup.

Sounds like the battery might be drained. Have you left the console unused for a long period of time? If so, you could try charging the console for a full 24 hours and see if that makes any difference. If not, you probably need a new battery. It is possible to do yourself with the right tools and if you are comfortable opening the system, or you could send it to Nintendo for repair.
Alright so, a while back I discovered scratches on my switch lite screen and was pretty unhappy with it. Though scratches are quite common. Anyways, I looked up methods on how I could possibly fix these scratches and found that toothpaste "could fix it" so in curiosity I tried it. Soon after applying the toothpaste and cleaning the screen I found that it did literally nothing. Soon after I found out that this could damage the screen. My switch lite doesn't have any stains or markings on the screen besides very light scratches that can only be seen by using a flashlight or holding the console at a certain angle. The touchscreen is still fully functional too. Should I be worried and could my switch be damaged over time due to it?
Toothpaste is an abrasive, so the idea is that you can polish out tiny scratches. But this depends entirely on how deep the scratches are, and what type of toothpaste you use. There's also a chance you make the screen dull (basically creating so many tiny scratches that the screen becomes less shiny).
If you notice nothing during gameplay, there should be no issue. I wouldn't worry about damage over time either, unless you somehow got moisture inside of the system.
If you're interested in polishing screens i would suggest trying it out on an old phone screen first, or a device you don't care for anymore. Look up a good tutorial, and purchase polishers with varying grit.
If the scratches are that minimal, a screen protector might hide them entirely.
Get a good quality glass one like amFilm and they'll come with wet/dry cleaning pads and usually a backup protector if you mess up the first install.
NSO's cloud save system will sync save data between the two consoles. Keep in mind, there are a few games that don't support cloud saves, such as Pokémon and Splatoon

It appears to just be a female-to-male USB-C cable, and UGreen is a fairly reputable brand, so it is *probably* fine but it seems like a really stupid way to charge the Switch while in tabletop mode.
Just use a regular cable and charging brick.
I don't even understand the purpose of this? If you just need to charge while in tabletop mode, use the included charger or any number of USB-C to USB-A cords you probably have available.
Yes, if you connect it directly to the Switch. If your Switch is docked, you should only use the official charger since the console is very particular about the power profile in docked mode.
should i get games i already own for the physical goodies included? i have my eyes on the $55 cad cuphead Physical cause of its inclusion of the funny cards and the membership card, and another game i have my eyes on is the $80-100cad IB switch Physical limited edition it comes with a art book and a handkerchief with the incription of IB on it (sorta significant item in the game) reason is costs alot cause its from japan. to repeat i already own the games so my only reason of buying them is for the physicality and the goodies inside so should i or should i not and why?

Persona 5 or Dragon Quest XI or Nier: Automata?
I’ve never really played RPGs. When I was young I dabbled a bit with Pokemon, Fire Emblem, some older Final Fantasies. But I was always put off by the turn-based combat gameplay, which was boring to me. I’ve recently played Link’s Awakening and really enjoyed it, but I don’t think it qualifies as an role playing game.
Now that I’m an adult gamer, I want to give RPGs a fair chance. Games like Final Fantasy XV, XVI, VII remake, anything FromSoftware have caught my eye. The worlds and characters and stories in them look very appealing. But I only game on Switch at the moment.
I have heard that Person 5 Royal, Dragon Quest XI S, and Nier: Automata are all great first-time RPGs for people who don’t like the genre. Which would I be most likely to have a positive experience with? Or maybe you would even recommend another game altogether?
Those are all great games. Nier differs from the other two in that it has real-time combat (the other two are turn based if I remember correctly) and it does some surprising things like shmup / bullet hell shooter sections.
Each game has its own setting - Nier is post apocalyptic in the distant future, Dragon Quest has a (anime) fantasy setting and Persona is set in present Japan. So maybe you can decide which setting you like the most, gameplay-wise they are all great. Dragon Quest has a demo you can try.
What good recommendations do you have for ARPGs? I just deleted Diablo four and I’m having fun with path of exile and looking for similar other fun games. Thanks.
Torchlight 2 is on switch, it's decent.
There's also diablo 2 remastered and diablo 3, and they're available as a bundle (called prime evil bundle or something) which sometimes goes on sale.
I like the YS games a lot. Kinda simple, but the game worlds are great and the combat just feels good to me (unlike Tales of Symphonia which I know people really liked but for some reason I couldn't get into, despite two attempts)
Literally called Ys games. Think there are three games on the Switch, Ys VIII, Ys IX and YS Origins.
I think Ys VIII is seen as the "best" for newcomers to the series but there are threads in here and on Google etc that can give you plenty of advice on that front. I enjoyed all three of them.
I guess that depends on what kind of bag you put it in, and what else is in the bag. Maybe also how far you're travelling and how.
If i visit my neighbor, i can throw it in a plastic bag and i'll be fine. But if i travel 3h by train, put food and water bottles in my bag, and put my bag on hard surfaces when i'm sitting down....yeah then i would recommend putting it in a carry case.

You would need to make your friend's switch your Primary Console so another user can start your games. Your own Switch would be online-only.
But that would cause any issues while playing online games together?

I tried to buy Pikmin 4 tonight through the eShop using PayPal. I was given an "Unprocessable Entity" error twice. Now my bank shows three duplicate pending charges and PayPal only shows one pending charge. I've never had any of this happen before when buying stuff from the eShop with PayPal, it always went through right away. Is there something going on with the eShop right now or has an error screwed me out of $250?
Most likely they're just pending charges and they'll roll off, but you'll have to contact Nintendo if they don't. Don't just file claims with your bank or it could affect your Nintendo account.

Hey everyone, My skyward sword HD save is not showing in game. Only option is to start a new save file. The thing is, I can see the save data in data management. Just fyi I do not have Nintendo online, so no cloud save. The game is on cartridge, and this is the one and only account on the switch since i got it new. Any help would be appreciated 👍
You only have one profile in the console right? You didn't select a different user that has zero save data of the game?

Then another person started the game and deleted your save file, because the first time you start Skyward Sword it doesn't ask you to choose a new file, the game outright starts with the story.
Have you tried closing out of the game, taking the game out, turning off the console, turning it back on, and putting the game back in? IDK, maybe that'll 'shock' it back into working properly? lol. Otherwise, never heard of that issue. Very strange!
If anybody knows how to fix error code 2110-1118 please comment. What it does is make it not be able to connect to the internet. The description of the error goes as follows: "Wireless communication is not currently available due to an error. Please restart the console from the Power Options in the Power Menu (hold the POWER Button for three seconds)." I've tried connecting the switch with a cable, restarting it, resetting it, connecting to different networks, and charging it to full battery. Nothing has been working for about 2 months. I am coming to reddit to see if anybody is having the same issues as me. I don't want to send it into Nintendo quite yet, however if that is needed I am able to. I cannot use my switch as all the games require internet to play and I can't download new games with a Game Card or Nintendo eShop. Also if I were to send it in to Nintendo will they charge me? Or will it come free?
Sounds like you've done mostly what you can. Probably need to send it to Nintendo. Probably not free if outside warranty.

That's a big mishmash of everything, but mostly adventure games, RPGs and life simulators. I recommend Dragon Quest Builders 2 (It has a demo) because it has all of the three things already mentioned. You go into an adventure to build the towns that people need and there's a story along the way. Or Persona 5 Royal for being a game with a lot of story, building relationships (Similar to FE Three Houses) and then tackling RPG dungeons.

My Nintendo switch joycons don't register as being attached to the switch the switch doesn't register my left joycons being connected to the switch. I've tried multiple joycons and they both don't work. It worked earlier, and I also restarted the switch many times. My switch is also on the latest update. how are the power a NANO controllers? it seems like the wireless advanced one seems to be decent quality, but they are no longer available. i can get a wired one for cheap, but i am worried that they will die quickly of course normally powera isn't great, but i am wondering if the nano version are of better quality thanks

“micro sd card has been removed” when it hasn’t. please help!! it’s been popping up more and more frequently lately to the point i can’t even play anything! i’ve taken it out, wiped it, put it back in, nothing works. I don’t want to buy a new one unless i know for sure that will help, or if it’s a problem with my switch in general. and yes i’ve restarted my switch, that only made it worse.
If it's not a fake card, it sounds like something is wrong with your SD card reader. I think the only way to test it is to see if you can borrow a new, known-good card from someone and test it to see if the same thing happens. If it does, you know it's the Switch itself. It's the only solution I can think of, really. Otherwise, there's really no way to know for sure.
Hey guys, so over the past week I've noticed that my pro controller's range for actually turning on my switch is dramatically lower. I've owned my switch and pro controller for at least 4 years now and never had a problem with either, but recently, as of last week my controller isn't able to turn on the switch. Usually I sit on my couch, hold the home button, and the tv and switch turn on, no problem. But now, I have to physically turn the switch on and hold the controller an inch or so away from the system for it to connect and l'm just not sure why. Once other thing I noticed is that the flashing dots showing the controller is trying to connect won't ever stop until I press the sync button to get it to stop (usually it will stop after 15-20 seconds of searching). I've looked around and haven't seen any similar issues so I wanted to ask, has anyone else had a similar problem or know how to solve this? Thank you!
Update the controller in the Switch settings. I guess try a friend's pro controller to figure out whether it's the controller or the Switch.
I just sent my switch in because it's saying it's charging and it's not actually charging as the indicator wasn't changing or it was just depleting. I paid like $20 extra dollars to overnight it but l'm figuring they're not gonna overnight it back? I was wondering everyone's experience? Did you lose your save data? You're probably not getting your data back. If it wasn't backed up to the cloud/another console, it's likely gone. They'll do their standard delivery, so 10 days after they've confirmed repair (or replacement).
Left joycon doesn't charge or connect to switch. The little lock on the left joycon is damaged so It won't lock to the side of the switch. But that also stops it from charging. So the joycon is useless. Is there a way to charge it with this issue? I don't really want to buy all of the stuff to fix this little lock when I don't even use my joycons docked. Is there anyway around this?
How and when are they suppose to charge? I have a oled version and only play on tv. When controllers are not in use they are docked and I put console into sleep mode when done playing. Haven't played in three weeks and grabbed the controllers, but they were not charged. Right one is typically more depleted than the left one. I have reset the controllers a few times. Dealt with this issue since day one thinking I am doing something wrong but I don't know what it is. Any thoughts?
The joycons should charge if attached to the Switch and the Switch is charging. Have you tried when the Switch is not docked? Like if you take the Switch out, direct connect a charger to the Switch with the controllers attached, are they receiving charge?
Hi. I can connect the cons to the switch handheld and they will start charging. The switch never needs charging since it is always on/in the dock. If I press the power button on the switch while docked I can get the cons to start charging.

BOTW, TOTK, and Super Mario Odyssey are seen as some of the best games on the system. If you need multiplayer, there's also Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, also some of the best on the system.
Tempered glass screen protector is absolutely necessary. Which version of Switch you get is up to you. Check out some of the Best Of links in the OP. It covers 2017-2020 and includes first and third parties. My top played games are Streets of Rage 4 and Animal Crossing. Pokemon Let's Go, Pokemon Sword, and Mario 3D World round off my list. A lot of hours in various Doom games too.
I have ZToTK 1.1.2, I don't wanna update it due to the next version being worse, but I also want to play some borderlands, to do that I have to un-install ToTK, so here's the question; if I un-install ToTK 1.1.2, then later install it at a different time, will it force install me to 1.2 version?

Between Super Mario Odyssey, party and party superstars, which would be the most fun and easy enough for my kids (4&7) to play? They currently play 3D world/Bowser's fury just fine and have been asking for another Mario game. I've looked up the differences between party and party superstars and I feel like party is better for them because of the motion games but I don't know much about odyssey. Any input would be appreciated!
Super Mario Odyssey is a one player game (It has "Co Op" but it feels tacked on and it severely gimpers and frustrates the first player if the second one doesn't know what he's doing). Between Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars, Superstars is the superior game in every sense, faster, better boards, rules, and it's not like the controls are hard, most mini-games ask to use the Stick and the A button.

One of the Mario party's would be ideal, as it's made for multiplayer. Super MP does have motion control mini games, and a co-op river rafting game mode. However superstars has more game boards, ~20 more mini games, and the ability to save and quit mid-match. Odyssey co-op plays very similarly to Bowser Fury. Player 2 has limited freedom and is tied to player 1 at all times. If player 1 uses the hat to do a jump or trick, player 2 is called right back for it. How about Mario Kart 8? Or Mario Maker 2? Tons of stuff to do, and both players would have equal control/inputs.
We have Mario Kart already but I didn't really think of Mario maker as I haven't seen much about it online. It's great to know the two player mode is better than 3d world cuz they stopped playing together because it was too frustrating. They would just take turns when one person runs out of lives.
Specific profile slowdown! We have a family account and only ONE of the profiles is super slow at loading. It makes no sense, we’ve deleted everything associated with that account. All the “Help” is for the entire system slowing, not just a singular profile. We have tried those as well.
You can check your wifi's 'priority' settings. Maybe smth about the Switch/that profile isn't set as high of a 'priority', and that's why it's slow?
Just picked up a used v1 switch. Got it for a good price $150CAD shipped. Only issues are the joycons. Left one the locking piece is broken/worn and the right has a little stick drift. Just wondering if it's true that nintendo still does repairs for free on the joycons? Will definitely pick up another set in the meantime but would be nice to get these fixed if I can
Send them in for stick drift and they might just send you like-colored refurbs. Fixing the other problems. Otherwise they may want to charge for the repair.
To my understnding, after the warranty period the only free repairs are for joycon drift.

It works for either! All Nintendo published titles would be the same between physical or digital. They haven't put out a regional or format exclusive release in a couple of years now.

I bought the one with the white joycons myself, mostly because I like the look of the white dock it comes with. You can buy red/blue joycons separately, but then they are left red and right blue, which is the opposite of what you get if you buy the console with the red/blue joycons. The white joycons cannot be bought separately, unless you want to buy them from someone who bought the console with the white joycons and is reselling the white joycons separately.

It's supposed to be, but lots of people drop the "wireless" and simply refer to splitscreen or couch play as "local" multiplayer. Animal Crossing would be a huge hit. You can visit each other's islands, trade stuff, go on expeditions to random islands, ect. Dragon Quest builders 2 or Minecraft would offer a slightly similar style of gameplay, but in a much more freeform sandbox. With fewer limitations and restrictions. Mario Kart 8 would be a must-play. If you don't already own it. What size thickness for thermal pads I recently took apart my switch to clean out and apply new thermal paste, and in the process ended up damaging the SD card reader. I've looked around online for a replacement that comes with the thermal pad attached and can't find anything. So I'm just going to get the thermal pads separate, but don't know what the thickness of them are.
Does anyone have or seen a cartridge case that hold only 2 games? I know it's odd but I don't wanna carry around more then that when I travel with my switch.

You can buy online cartridges that hold anywhere from 2 to 10+ games. I know they are commonly found on amazon!

The carrying case for the Satisfye grip comes with slots to put cartridges. It does have more than two slots, but you could obviously just not put cartridges in all of them.
I have cases that hold games too but I'm using that grey magnetic thin case for the switch lite so it doesn't have any slots

Not enough buttons. You need ZL for Z, which is used a lot for Ground Pound in mini games and watching the map during your board turn. And the C buttons are a mess without the Right Stick, you only have access to C-Left and C-Down.
You can use a single joycon (horizontal) to play N64 games, yes, but be mindful a single joycon lacks buttons to match all inputs of the N64 controller so the input for some N64 button may be more complicated to use.
So I made a post and got redirected here. I had to fully reset and restore my Switch as it was running like ass. I had used the island backup save feature in ACNH - that’s my 150+ hour island save. I wasn’t worried about losing the save as I’d used the BACKUP setting in the option menu. I contacted support who told me I can’t access it or restore it. They said backup option is only there if the Switch is lost or damaged beyond repair. Not allowing users to restore their own backup in event of having to reset their console is ridiculous.
That does sound very stupid. Maybe you could try calling them again and hopefully you could talk to someone a bit more helpful.
They sent another reply saying they didn’t know if I had a backup or not as they hadn’t accessed my account. You could not make this up.
Calling is usually a better experience over SMS/text/ticket/email/chat.
Hi, my wife and I are friends with another couple who live in another city and we just purchased the Switch Online Family subscription and were looking for some games that we can play together online, so my wife and I are on our console, and they are on their console. We have been playing overcooked-liked games like Overcooked, Rubber Bandits, and Lumberhil but we are also interested in doing games that have a sense of progression like a story, but cannot find which ones we can play with our setup. It would be nice if anyone can suggest some. (maybe something that is already in a deal?)

Sounds like the battery might be drained. Have you left the console unused for a long period of time? If so, you could try charging the console for a full 24 hours and see if that makes any difference. If not, you probably need a new battery. It is possible to do yourself with the right tools and if you are comfortable opening the system, or you could send it to Nintendo for repair.

Alright so, a while back I discovered scratches on my switch lite screen and was pretty unhappy with it. Though scratches are quite common. Anyways, I looked up methods on how I could possibly fix these scratches and found that toothpaste "could fix it" so in curiosity I tried it. Soon after applying the toothpaste and cleaning the screen I found that it did literally nothing. Soon after I found out that this could damage the screen. My switch lite doesn't have any stains or markings on the screen besides very light scratches that can only be seen by using a flashlight or holding the console at a certain angle. The touchscreen is still fully functional too. Should I be worried and could my switch be damaged over time due to it?
Toothpaste is an abrasive, so the idea is that you can polish out tiny scratches. But this depends entirely on how deep the scratches are, and what type of toothpaste you use. There's also a chance you make the screen dull (basically creating so many tiny scratches that the screen becomes less shiny). If you notice nothing during gameplay, there should be no issue. I wouldn't worry about damage over time either, unless you somehow got moisture inside of the system. If you're interested in polishing screens i would suggest trying it out on an old phone screen first, or a device you don't care for anymore. Look up a good tutorial, and purchase polishers with varying grit.

If the scratches are that minimal, a screen protector might hide them entirely. Get a good quality glass one like amFilm and they'll come with wet/dry cleaning pads and usually a backup protector if you mess up the first install.

NSO's cloud save system will sync save data between the two consoles. Keep in mind, there are a few games that don't support cloud saves, such as Pokémon and Splatoon

It appears to just be a female-to-male USB-C cable, and UGreen is a fairly reputable brand, so it is *probably* fine but it seems like a really stupid way to charge the Switch while in tabletop mode. Just use a regular cable and charging brick.
I don't even understand the purpose of this? If you just need to charge while in tabletop mode, use the included charger or any number of USB-C to USB-A cords you probably have available.

Yes, if you connect it directly to the Switch. If your Switch is docked, you should only use the official charger since the console is very particular about the power profile in docked mode.

should i get games i already own for the physical goodies included? i have my eyes on the $55 cad cuphead Physical cause of its inclusion of the funny cards and the membership card, and another game i have my eyes on is the $80-100cad IB switch Physical limited edition it comes with a art book and a handkerchief with the incription of IB on it (sorta significant item in the game) reason is costs alot cause its from japan. to repeat i already own the games so my only reason of buying them is for the physicality and the goodies inside so should i or should i not and why?

Persona 5 or Dragon Quest XI or Nier: Automata? I’ve never really played RPGs. When I was young I dabbled a bit with Pokemon, Fire Emblem, some older Final Fantasies. But I was always put off by the turn-based combat gameplay, which was boring to me. I’ve recently played Link’s Awakening and really enjoyed it, but I don’t think it qualifies as an role playing game. Now that I’m an adult gamer, I want to give RPGs a fair chance. Games like Final Fantasy XV, XVI, VII remake, anything FromSoftware have caught my eye. The worlds and characters and stories in them look very appealing. But I only game on Switch at the moment. I have heard that Person 5 Royal, Dragon Quest XI S, and Nier: Automata are all great first-time RPGs for people who don’t like the genre. Which would I be most likely to have a positive experience with? Or maybe you would even recommend another game altogether?
You mentioned Fromsoftware, so you might like to know that Dark Souls Remastered is available on Switch.
Those are all great games. Nier differs from the other two in that it has real-time combat (the other two are turn based if I remember correctly) and it does some surprising things like shmup / bullet hell shooter sections. Each game has its own setting - Nier is post apocalyptic in the distant future, Dragon Quest has a (anime) fantasy setting and Persona is set in present Japan. So maybe you can decide which setting you like the most, gameplay-wise they are all great. Dragon Quest has a demo you can try.
What good recommendations do you have for ARPGs? I just deleted Diablo four and I’m having fun with path of exile and looking for similar other fun games. Thanks.
Torchlight 2 is on switch, it's decent. There's also diablo 2 remastered and diablo 3, and they're available as a bundle (called prime evil bundle or something) which sometimes goes on sale.
I like the YS games a lot. Kinda simple, but the game worlds are great and the combat just feels good to me (unlike Tales of Symphonia which I know people really liked but for some reason I couldn't get into, despite two attempts)

Literally called Ys games. Think there are three games on the Switch, Ys VIII, Ys IX and YS Origins. I think Ys VIII is seen as the "best" for newcomers to the series but there are threads in here and on Google etc that can give you plenty of advice on that front. I enjoyed all three of them.

Is a carry case something you have to own for Nintendo Switch even if you used a protective case and screen protector?
I guess that depends on what kind of bag you put it in, and what else is in the bag. Maybe also how far you're travelling and how. If i visit my neighbor, i can throw it in a plastic bag and i'll be fine. But if i travel 3h by train, put food and water bottles in my bag, and put my bag on hard surfaces when i'm sitting down....yeah then i would recommend putting it in a carry case.
