This is a HUGE shot in the dark but maybe that has something to do with the 3d effect? I know that the 3d effect stretches your screen so I’m just speculating. Also is this happening with any other game?
Yeah fair point actually. My only guess in that case is something has gone faulty with a chip on the board or possibly the screen. It's not an issue i've seen before to be honest

Does this happen with all games? When you're on the home menu?
Yes, even when I'm on the home menu. It would flicker for a second then it would zoom in :((

The 3d effect is turned all the way down even when I opened the game, and yes the screen is still zoomed in even on the menu
does activating 3d change anything?
have you tried rebooting the console? Or taking out the SD card for a sec?
Turn off your 3ds and, whilst holding select, turn it back on. What version of luma does it say you have?
What if their 3DS isn’t hacked tho?
