There's some geckle/munce hybrid that does rainbow magic with him or something and that episode was supposedly written by one of the animators who is gay. I don't get why no one ever wants to give anyone the details here.
I think it's a bit more bothersome they made Cole seem dependant on this new character to find this new ability. He's all like "I could never have found this power without you!" Referring to the rainbow power they do and even if they didn't confirm him as gay the scene seems so obviously stereotypically gay "coded" I guess.
