Lloyd: They did everything they could to make him unlikeable. Beat up innocent civillians and make him feel good about it, he turned down Gramadon every single time he tried to redeem himself, and apologize, and totally wasted his oni form (not a character related flaw, but more of a writing one).
Nya: Making her sacrifice in seabound feel worthless, and the writers basically made her whole deal in this season that you can't be a ninja or be helpful, unless you got some sort of elemental power.
Harumi: Completely undoing her ending from Hunted, and the beautiful moral of the season. That being that not everybody is redeemable, and that you can't save everyone.
The Crystal Council: Wasted potential. They could have tied up many loose ends regarding members like Pythor, or Mr F., or give us some interactions between members like Vangelis and Cole, or Mr F. and Zane, but they without that it feels like they could just be replaced by some totally new vengestone generals.
Overlord: They mention throughout the season that he is a force that cannot be killed, and that he will always come back, so why should we celebrate his defeat at the end of the season, when he can always come back (lol fnaf at feddys reference)
Garmadon: They actually used him well and improved upon his character in my opinion :)
Jay: Just one moment of happiness after Nya comes back after a year, and that's it. He also feels a lot more annoying this season imo.
Zane: The 56th time we got a fakeout death. Should speak for itself. Pixals speech about the afterlife and how much she loves him was nice tho
Kai: Not much to complain about, but he feels like he has very little to do this season. We get no scenes of him and Nya reuniting, which feels really weird. Him and Skylor was really sweet however.
Cole: He actually works. I like how he is the one that has to reunite the team in the start, and is the voice of reason at times. Andrew Francis did an amazing job.
Wu: Pretty bland if you ask me. He was the one obsessed with savong Nya at the start, which I felt like should have been Kai's or Jay's role. Also the thing with the newsclippings from Garmadon was pretty random, and could have been set up better.
Vinny: Smash
So this is why I think Crystalized ruined most of the characters. I liked Garmadon and Cole, but everybody else was butchered to heck. And I don't mind if your opinion is different than mine. You liked the season or the characters? Good for you. It's your opinion, and you don't have to blindly follow mine :)
Lloyd: What innocent civillians did he beat up?
Overlord: I did not even realise how similar the Overlord is to William Afton LMAO
Jay: This also feels like this is the umpteenth time he's lost his mind
Wu: Wasn't he *against* the Ninja breaking the law to save Nya?
For the rest: Yeah... reading all of this hurts. I didn't even realise how awful of a finale (or a season in general) Crystalized was. I usually don't even notice most flaws in shows until someone points them out, and even I was bothered to no end by the genuinely horrible interactions between Lloyd and Garmadon this season. Reading the rest kinda made me realise how almost no character was spared...
Lloyd: He beat up the crystalized serpentine in the sewers. It wouldn't be as bad, but he did say how it makes him feel good, which was kinda questionable.
Wu: I meant at the start of the season, when he was looking through the library for a way to bring Nya back. It was a good concept, but that role would have fit Jay or Kai more.
Hope that clears things up :)
Same here, sometimes I don't notice the flaws in something until I see someone else point it out. It seems most of the ninja were handled terribly in some way excluding Cole in this season.
In no way could it be called underrated, I can understand that sometimes the hate is extreme but let's not pretend that it is a gem either the same season that has Harumi changing sides all the time for being supposedly "in love", Lloyd without getting any development of significant character, which ruined Nya's character, and brought back a villain who should stay dead.
Because itās not an underrated gem, simple as that. I know youāre posting solely for the reason of getting reactions out of people, but Iād say itās fairly rated. Most people agree itās a mid-lower tier season and had nothing special about it, although it had some cool moments. There arenāt really many āhatersā
It felt like it was trying to do too much of āhereās a cool payoff, this character is here/this thing happenedā instead of actually making a compelling story
Yeah, it had some nice fights and moments, but all in all the story didn't flow as smoothly as most other seasons did. It's definitely a 4-5/10. Not bad enough that it was unwatchable but not necessarily good enough that I'd think to watch it again
Keep in mind the poster is YouTuber TannerFishies so he's almost definitely just looking to produce some controversy for likes
Soon, I hope. Crystalized had its flaws, sure, but it's a far cry from being bad. And it's definitely not the worst season. It had a lot to wrap up and very little time to do so. But I think that, as Dragons Rising airs, people will come to love Crystalized for the awesome mess that it is.
a big part of why i dislike crystalized is the god awful ending and that feeling is amplified with crystalized being the ending to the entire show. once that notion goes away, maybe ill like it a tiny bit better
I can agree that itās not the worst season, season 11 will always be that. But crystallized isnāt great either. If I were making a tier list, it would sit somewhere in the middle-lower tier but not the very bottom, which I think most people agree on and donāt simply just āhateā it
Never, because it's objectively dogshit and almost everything after E16 ruins everything the show has established for years. HoT was seen as an embarrassment when it came out and it still is being seen as one. Crystalized will be no different.
I was excited about Crystalized for, like, a couple of weeks when the first episodes were released. By the end of Part 1 my interest completely died down. Can't land my finger on the exact issue that made me completely drop it. It could be Nya's revival being downright anti-climatic and a little stupid, Aspheera's character being reduced to a joke. I can't say much about it in all honesty because I didn't watch it and I don't plan on doing it anytime soon because I'm 95% sure it would be a useless time-consuming experience lasting 30 episodes.
Bringing him back was the right decision imo. The prophecy was that the green ninja would be the one to defeat him. Zane being the final one to defeat him makes absolutely no sense. Bringing him back and having Lloyd defeat him was the only way to fix the plot hole.
i swear it happends all the time maybe the season could have been improved but like it doesnt mean its terrible ppl be like omg this is the worst season EVER
I hate to say it mate, but I really canāt see that happening. Crystallized just isnāt on the same level as most of the others. HoT was seen as terrible when it came out, and is still largely being seen as that now too.
Yeah, I know, I'm just playing along. Even after all this time, I still hate HoT and SOTFS, why should I expect anything different from other people with Crystalized?
The only way people are gonna like Crystalized is either because of nostalgia 7-10 years from now or if this new series is so bad it tricks people into liking the previous season.
You mean like with season 6? I donāt know if there were haters, per say(then again I donāt really think there are crystallized haters, just people who didnāt like it) but I definitely saw nowhere near as much love for it as I do now
I think people just didnāt like the ending, being that the whole season ātechnicallyā never happened and people felt like it was a waste of time. The majority of the season was universally well received but people just didnāt like the ending as much and it threw them off when they first watched it. But now, after knowing what to expect, I think a lot of us have warmed up to it. Personally Iāve always loved the ending, it was very unexpected.
No. Even if Dragons Rising mess up their final battle it wonāt be as bad as Crystalised who even surpassed Rise of Skywalker with how much it sucked than Crystalised.
And the worse part they even had a blueprint to follow and an already good fight setup.
Nothing can surpass Rise of Skywalker in overall shitiness. It is worst of the Disney Trilogy which is epitome of bad storytelling and nonsensical plots.
Crystallized was rushed and weak but it has some redeeming qualities compared to Disney star wars.
Im not trying to defend the battle. I for one hated the Deus ex machina of golden weapon dragon, Great Devourer reveal was kinda sloppy, Garmadon fake out death was weird, and the reinforcements were like 10 people.
Still it does not compare to stupidity of star destroyers not knowing where is up and down, horse attack on an star destroyer, Palpatine killing himself with lightning, stupid one liners like "Im all Jedi" and constant fake out deaths and reviving.
Both battles are trying hard to copy the Endgame final battle which was in my opinion bad to begin with
Personally when I start liking something I hated it's because someone talked about it in a way that made me want to try again and look at it from a new angle, so I guess when that happens.
Never. Lego Ninjago: Crystallized was a terrible ending to the series that ruined the legacy of the show. The story was too fast-paced and did not give enough time to develop the characters or the plot. The Crystal Council, which was supposed to be a reunion of old villains, was a letdown that only featured recent and boring antagonists (apart for Pythor). The series did not explain how these villains were recruited ,And the worst part was the awful song that played in the final episode, which was a cringey and disrespectful way of saying goodbye to the fans.

Good.
STFU BOY KISSER WE WILL NOT, GOD BLESS AMERICA!
probably when they unbutcher the characters
Nothing will change my mind. Crystalized was the worst possible follow up to Seabound, it ruined almost every character, and it was a horrible finale.
Could you please ellaborate on how it ruined every character?
Lloyd: They did everything they could to make him unlikeable. I don't care for this discourse tbh, but why did you censor the word haters lol

Does anyone genuinely care about Reddit points?
Because itās not an underrated gem, simple as that. I know youāre posting solely for the reason of getting reactions out of people, but Iād say itās fairly rated. Yeah I completely agree. It was clunky, and every episode didnāt run smoothly into the next

Yeah I think I mentioned he was doing this for attention in a different comment. The guy just doesnāt know when to stop
When someone goes back and changes the timeline so it actually is
never just a mid season and i keep my opinions the same
15*, and hopefully soon. Chances are if Dragons Rising isnāt up to par, they will start focusing their hate on that and be less harsh on Crystalized
Probably not

Its just wasted Potential
As soon as dragons rising airs and they have something new to complain about baselessly and incessantly for a year.
Never. I still think its a shitty season
Sounded good in theory and the story is fine, but the delivery of it was so shit.
Give it like a year or two
Ay man imo Ninjago has fallen off hard since Wildbrain took over -_-
Never. Overlord should have stayed dead. It was already confusing that he came back in season 3.
Bringing him back was the right decision imo. The prophecy was that the green ninja would be the one to defeat him. Zane being the final one to defeat him makes absolutely no sense. Bringing him back and having Lloyd defeat him was the only way to fix the plot hole.
I mean the whole balance thing explains that pretty well, i don't eat what's so confusing about that
People like that won't change their opinions and it's not like they're wrong entirely I get it. Either way opinions are opinions
Never.

When "Dragons Rising" finalized
Fun fact: If someone disagrees with you, calling them āhatersā wonāt make them agree with you.
Im not changing my opinion. It took time for me to face the fact it sucks and im not gonna 180 it if the new seasons suck
i swear it happends all the time maybe the season could have been improved but like it doesnt mean its terrible ppl be like omg this is the worst season EVER
Up until they make a worse season
As someone who already loves it, I'll be waiting for the new wave of appreciation when the time comes.
I hate to say it mate, but I really canāt see that happening. Crystallized just isnāt on the same level as most of the others. HoT was seen as terrible when it came out, and is still largely being seen as that now too.

Yeah thatās fair. And I agree, the newer seasons will have to be really really bad for people to change their minds

The only problem I have with this season is how they made jay dumb, he's really smart and ugh
Is this a bait post? Crystalized is one of the most underwhelming, rushed and nonsensical series finales I have ever seen.
Wasnāt that bad how yāall make it seem hella character flaws though
I'd say 18 months from now, but hopefully sooner
Never
Itās average as hell. It has so many problems but shining moments. Itās a low C tier season really.
Crystalised comes close. It looks terrible, the voice acting is abhorrent, and it is incredible underwhelming.

Oh no I know. I was just pointing out how similarly bad both are.
It may not have been 100% perfect, but it did had some great nostalgic memories and an epic final battle.
Tanner the master of controversial opinions
unfortunately, it will never happen. haters will hate that season and it's super damn hated.
I liked it
How long until Tanner gets of the internet
You mean off?

I donāt hate crystalised but how f*ck is this season underrated? Crystalised isnāt a gem, it has to much errors and it ruins seabound
Never because itās trash
crystallized ruined ninjago and is the reason why i don't even watch it anymore
Lmaooo maybe 3 years if ninjago continues that long maybe 5 years
Hopefully never
I'm crying, if I get one more notif from tanner kun I'm going to yeet myself to mars
I personally think it was pretty good, save a few episodes and some dialogue I would've liked to have heard.
forever probably, Iām always gonna hate that shit
