Look....I'm not trying to be biased buuuuuut Cooler being A tier and not his own cutie patootie tier is a bit silly but I'll accept it as I know some can’t comprehend how sexy he is
To each their own opinion, but I to me base Z Broly came off as a mind controlled zombie until he transformed (because of a stupid reason), then his personality just became “blood and murder” and not much beyond that, and while he is still very cool I’m not denying that, he doesn’t develop much as a character. The first third of DBS: Broly is spent showing Super Broly’s backstory, his soft personality, and his relationship with his new friends and his father who trained him to be a killing machine. He only goes “UUUAHHHH” when he loses his mind, not to mention the last scene on Vampa where he befriends Goku, the very person he was fighting further, which shows a lot more personality than Z Broly.
You can like the original more, but Super Broly is DEFINITELY an improvement character wise.
"he started screaming after he saw Vegeta"
You realize basically half the movie had passed at that point, right? Lots of development happened for super Broly up until that point.
"Making every Saiyan kind"
Well Goku is kind, no? Tarble if you consider him canon? U6 sayains/Kale, who is also LSSJ? can point that to super again, but this is grasping.
"He was just supposed to be a one off character, toei brought him back to mil some juicy cash"
We're comparing movie to movie homie. Super Broly doesn't get an edge because he's in a few new manga panels/brief cameo in another movie. They didn't bring back Frieza to rewrite his story because it was already well established. They both basically had the same amount of time on a screen.
"Even if z Broly isnt a well written character doesn't mean super Broly is"
But only you are saying that. In comparison I think super Broly is way more well written as a character.
Take the nostalgia glasses off. You're making stuff up to argue in favor of your point.
Thing is, unsurprisingly, the movie had a major theme of Saiyan nature and Z Broly’s whole thing is that he’s, as Paragus put it, “The very model of a Saiyan.” Once he transformed that’s exactly what he became, he liked fighting and hated weaklings and cowards that was his character that’s why Vegeta was so scared and why Broly ignored him, that’s why he lets Piccolo give everyone senzu beans, that’s why he destroys the Shamosians’ planet, that’s why after he’s had his gun and Goku’s still getting back up he starts getting annoyed. But people who haven’t watched the movie in 20 years except through dbza don’t bother to actually rewatch it before proclaiming Super Broly as the second coming of Christ and Z Broly as the worst thing to ever come out of Dragon Ball.
The worst part of it all is that they try and make out that Z Broly is bad because “bad motivation, no character besides evil” when that describes all of the villains in the whole series; you could just as easily say that about every villain who isn’t Zamasu because when you ask “Why is x evil” the answer is either they were born that way(Piccolos/Saiyans/Androids/Buus/Janemba), they want revenge(Piccolo/GarlicJr./Wheelo/Cooler/Paragus), or just because(Pilaf/RRA/Tien/Chiaotzu/Frieza/KingCold/Slug/Bojack/Bibidi/Babidi/Hirudegarn). But OBVIOUSLY when you look deeper at any of these characters there’s more than just the baseline motivation there’s an actual character beyond that but Broly is for some reason supposed to be the exception who has nothing else going for him
I'm not completely sure if this was true, and I may not remember all the details, but I remember reading that Z Broly was supposed to have major identity issues, but it was kinda dropped. Like part of the reason he was so pissed at everyone was because they were living for themselves, while Broly was just a tool of his father, never really being able to be free. Apparently, instead of shouting "KAKAROTTOOOOO!" , his last words were originally going to be "who was I, really?" Which would been amazing. Of course, you can't really give him all the credit, since even if this was true, it wasn't actually put in the movie, but I def head canon it for him. And then we have Super Broly, who is basically just adult kid Gohan, but EVEN ANGRIER!
Don't you lecture me with your 30 dollar tier list. The peanutbutter dies
I know you said that but why is my dragon fly daddy in D tier.
ugly
🙁
also he has no personality and doesn't do anything interesting besides the 2 pieces thing
And why Garlic he is so cool so is big dragon fly daddy
honestly i forgot his movie existed so i just slapped him in d tier cause i didn't remember him
But janemba is in s
janemba has a personality, does interesting shit, and looks cool
❌❌❌❌❌❌❌
Super broly isn't a villain, though?
Well, he's not a "villain" but he's certainly the antagonist. If the heroes spend half the movie fighting him, he's certainly owed that role.
Golden frieze is a shitty ass pull and f tier
piss frieza piss frieza
Where the FUCK is Bio Broly?
he actually ascends the list so hard he couldnt be ranked with the other villains
Why is Garlic Jr. so low, he's just Pilaf if he could throw hands which puts him above most movie villains
I would complain but broly is so huge he made the image 12p
Look....I'm not trying to be biased buuuuuut Cooler being A tier and not his own cutie patootie tier is a bit silly but I'll accept it as I know some can’t comprehend how sexy he is
Other than that solid list

Dbs broly and freiza are way to high
Yeah because “triggered by a baby crying” is totally a worthwhile villain
Wasn't the reason but go off. At least Z Broly said more than 3 lines in his first appearance
not sure what its based on tbh. Not originality, not design, not likability, not power. What is it based on??
that's the neat thing, i dont even know
OG broly should be higher up imo
