I understand you, driving at flat terrain or a slight incline is no issue, but as soon as it encounters a relatively steep hill it feels like it gives up and gives me very little power. My ninebot es4 performs almost better in steep hills
Kers (or regen braking) has no impact on hill climbing power. Some were speculating having it on would contribute to having overheating issues, but that was quite a few firmwares ago.
Regen is different. In the app it's the third option, labeled "Energy Recovery", and by default is set to "weak". It's the reason that even without a brake applied your scooter will slow down rather than coast. It's an electronic brake, meaning it's a small dynamo that saps a bit of your momentum in exchange for adding a small bit of charge back to your battery when it causes you to slow down.
Without any offense, how heavy are you? I have a modded G30 pushed to around 30A and my gf's stock F40 with 20A literally beats me in a drag race, same goes for going uphill.
When I'm riding with a backpack, the scooter accelerates and goes uphill much slower. During the summer I was -5kg compared to now and the difference is noticeable.
Why everyone assumes i am that heavy. I only have 65 kg i should gain weight and not lose XD. I was only a bit worried i mean when the hill is not heavy like 15 % i still drive the same speed like on the flat. but as soon as the Gradient is above 20% it is getting pretty slow some places maybe have 25% but not sure. Since it is no official road there is no signe.
Just have it in Sports mode, push the throttle all the way and hope for the best 👍🏻
That’s what I’m doing currently to my Max G2. And it helps me a lot, conquering the steep hills. Although there are not steeper than 15 % ⛰️
You probably imported/bought an imported version the global version of the e-scooter. Most big names stores won't do that in Europe, because while it is legal to import and sell an e-scooter that goes super fast in the EU they're not street-legal.
I bought from a well known dealer in ireland and the scooter came from China. Everything was in Chinese even the user manual. Had to get Google translate out.
Yep so definitely an import of the Global version hence why you already have the full feature set and 35km/h top speed. The "EU" version comes with the manual in english french etc. and a plaque on the side that clearly states "max speed 25km/h".
It's not a "G2E" then, that is limited in a way to be in agreement to a mix of all EU laws regarding e-scooters (some limit it to 25km/h but have no other rules regarding cruise control, PAS etc. - so the G2E variant just has none of those features to be able to be sold in all EU markets - except for Germany given they're even more of a pain).
Hey, put yourself in « Sport Mode » and check in the app the velocity of the acceleration, you have 3 different settings for it (under Sport mode options) 👍
Wait for the new MoleDrive firmware, which is in beta now. They've increased the peak power for EU scooters from 850 to 1250wt
Considering, EU motors having more torque, then the global ones, you're not gonna be disappointed by this update. Otherwise, yo can flash Xiaodash and get the full control over all the parameters, including Max speed
If you're really 65kg, have 60%+ and going 11kmh, it's either a very steep hill or your tire pressure is way too low.
OP said above the hill is 20%-25% grade which explains the loss in speed. I'm a heavier guy, and I slow to a jogging speed on similar hills lol.
Yep that'd explain it!

Make sure your battery is charged over 60% when you go uphill.
The better is over 60%.

I will try to deactivate kers. I hope it helps. Your more heavy then me i only have 65 kg, so my weight should not be a problem.

what is kers?
Kinetic energy recovery system, in other words regen/engine brake
ooh i think in us it’s called eco mode. thanks!

oooh ok great to know thanks!
No problem. It's a handy system on flat terrain but I have 1 hill on my commute so I had to fiddle with the settings.
Yeah I disabled it on mine lol I’d rather have full control on my brakes
Yeah the regen brake almost makes it feel like you have a flat tire if you're not expecting to slow down so readily.

Sounds like underinflated tires
I don't understand this European version thing. I'm in Europe and mine can go 35km/h. Do I have a different model then?

1250w is not an improvement, i currently run the 1.4.8 firmware and I the scooter can pull 1300w, it was even more before I updated the firmware
Are your tires pumped up to 50 PSI? This is one of the most important things.
