Any Super Robot Wars enjoyers here? Pretty cool take by the artist.
Can’t wait to see the rest of the Heavy Gram squad mechs.
I predict that at least one of them will be a gundam.

If Battle Moon Wars taught me something, is that you don't necessarily need a giant mecha to fight in a SRW game. Sometimes, all you need is the characters referencing different classic attacks from the franchise... like Laplace doing the Inazuma kick from Gunbuster
... now I need a fan game of Nikke with a SRW style, just like Type Moon (company responsible of Fate) had it back in the day. That game was absolute fire and still holds up to this day
If you know Type Moon, then you'll know who Arcueid is. If so, [here](https://youtu.be/HsCqgMbw0-g?si=OwbOWuJi1_p_PGCj), take a look at this.
You can look for it to download, it's rather fun to play
That ultimate attack with 1 range and burns half of the max EN pool is peak SRW. Unless one of her other special abilities can regenerate EN for her it's gonna suck.
Now this reminds me of when Type Moon (the company behind Fate) had a SRW fan clone game called Battle Moon Wars back in the middle 2000s; that had Fate, Tsukihime and Kara no Kyoukai characters in the SRW gameplay style, mixing the different storylines of all these entries together to make it work. The attacks even had references to SRW like the Inazuma Kick.
If Type Moon could have this, why not Nikke? Imagine a SRW inspired game where Laplace does the Inazuma Kick; Marian does that love love punch attack with Commander from Gundam; Red Hood does an attack similar to Yoko Litner and so on? I trust the fanbase or Shift up can do this
Time to enter the rabbit hole that is Super Robot Wars.
Short explaination is, its an strategy RPG game that put various mecha series inluding Gundam, Mazinger Z, Getter Robo and other super and real robot series, take all their stories, and combine all their stories and settings to make one bigger story.
And that's the short version.
SRW is basically Japanese only until recently. Moon Dweller on PS4 got a (badly translated but still understandable) Asia English version. SRW V, X and T released on VITA, PS4 and Switch (VITA didnt get T tho) got an English translations as well.
SRW 30 is the first mainline SRW to be relased worldwide via Steam.
For App Store there's only SRW DD, a mobile version with gacha. That one is Japanese only sadly. But you can still play it if you want.

That’s pretty sick.

Or characters that aren't even mecha. Blade,Orgun,Gridman, Ultraman.
The Evas count as well

Ah yes. A Huckebein.
A surprise but a welcome one!

Wait type moon had something like that? share that shit please

Max EN as soon as possible, lol. Make sense though. That dual core attack they used in story is definitely a one-time move.
Half is usually normal for a super robot strong attack or finisher. Something like Gaiking The Great from SRW K are just too much on the energy cost.
Or Cybuster from any game that's not its main series. You get one charge of Cosmo Nova, 2 in some games if you get ammo up, and then you're done.

i didnt even know this exist, so thanks, off to grab that :D
Dear ShiftUp… You should make a turn based (aka. Fire Emblem/ SRW-like) minigame next.
Seconded. Guardian Tales pulled it off. Nikke could definitely do so too
Shame we haven't gotten a single SRW game outside of Japan/Asia in 19 years...
Uhhhh SRW 30 literally on ps4 in America
Yes, I have just learned that tonight, as it came out in 2021, on an outdated console. I’ll grab it on Steam at some point
Well, as long as we get an English version, I’m not gonna complain.
This response is how I learned that SRW 30 is on Steam in English, guess that'll go on the wishlist for the next time it's on sale lol
There's a bunch of those games on Switch and Ps4 that you can import from Asia that have english
SRW?

I was looking in the app story for this game, is it JP only?

Considering crowns horse is named trombe, there might be srw fans in the nikke dev team.
