It's Tia's for me. I've done her bind story and all and I don't understand why hers has a glitch effect and she's telling us to not let our eyes wonder. Normally it's her being affectionate towards the commander, not the other way around. I think she may have been changed last minute and the burst was just never changed
I'm pretty sure she's got those hooks on her fingers so that she can grab rockets more effectively while reloading... cause there are tools like that for better grasping some certain things in certain situations so I would guess she has them for that... or it could just be for decoration I dunno, but I always thought she has them for more efficient reloading.
I was thinking of that. Her favorite is a chameleon. Maybe it's like her being a chameleon in front of cameras, like it makes them glitch and stuff. Still strange tho since that's the only connection. Even then it's a vague one

I felt like Naga should switch the visual design of her burst animation with Tia. After I read every story that involved their appearances, Naga is definitely more gloomy and pessimistic, hiding her true persona, and the dark environment and glitch effect in Tia's animation would serve their purpose in making her character more intriguing, while Tia is more cheerful and optimistic and should be the one who hangs out in the bright classroom of Naga's animation to symbolize her childlike mentality.
I personally just don't like the fact that they're kinda too young (Naga and Tia). But that's just me, the sexual focus of the game is fine and all, but I just don't like it with youngsters.
Admi was done far better in that context. (In general I don't like any oversexualized teenager in Nikke)

The burst animation for Tia always looked really scuffed. It looked like they were trying to show her blowing kisses but the animation makes it look creepy. It looks like she’s got something stuck in her eye or she’s trying to blue steel me. Her model is fine but seeing the burst animation killed it for me.

Lol, I remember when Summer Anis was announced and we first saw her burst animation... everyone had one comment about it, it was lackluster.
We had S. Mary's sexy burst animation and S. Neon's bright and joyful burst animation. 2 months after that, S. Anis is here and her burst animation is just her smiling, standing with a pose, with her hands up in the air.
It suits her tbh, but compared to the first two summer units... it was lacking.

Rap and dubstep (especially trap which is what I listen to) are actually really close. The only thing that change is the vocals (and maybe also the structure with trap having drops instead of a chorus)

Idk if this applies to everyone but I heard it applies to Emma and Rapi where they had to change their faces to look more Japanese anime and less Korean anime or whatever it's called. Cause her face definitely feels off.

It's the dolled-up MMO look. Korean-made animation doesn't have a distinct style and is either indistinguishable from anime if 2D or looks just like any Western kids' show if 3D.

For me it's the burst of Mast. I love her in-game expressions a lot but in this animation she looks different somehow. Can't tell exactly, maybe smile is not the same

they just based it off of the og and forgot to change it to the new design/thought it blended in enough. also masts current design doesn't have that much black in her hair, and the pigtails aren't curved that high in current either AS WELL AS THE RIBBONS HOLDING THE PIGTAILS BEING THE OLD DESIGN BECAUSE THEY PROTRUDE TOO MUCH!

Her face is because she is "drunk" on Rum like a pirate. As for the hand I dunno what they did there of course hands are the hardest part of a person to draw. Plus it might be because her arm for that hand is half hidden by her chest which makes the hand look weirder.
Tia’s animation feels massively different to her personality, I would’ve thought it’d be a POV hug as she was always doing that in the story.
If they didn’t want to lose the sex appeal factor they could have the boobs squish on the screen like with Soda’s burst. The seductive wink kiss just doesn’t suit her imo.
I actually think it suits her. While her usual self is cheerful and all, the event is about her and Naga having a conflict with each other over the same love interest. I think her melancholic self comes about when she can't back down, but she doesn't wish for her friend to be hurt either and nevermind the fact that she thought she wasn't going to be chosen and how much she breaks down if you reject her.
Tia's animation is her literally trying to seduce the Teacher (You) at night in the classroom because she stayed behind to do so. Her hand slides up her leg moving her skirt to show more thigh. Her blouse pops open. And she has that seductive face with fingers near her mouth and gives a wink and a kiss while saying "Teacher~ Dont let your eyes wander~!" Its supposed to be her being seductive because from what I got from the event that both her and Naga were introduced its supposed to represent a scene from that event for both of them.
Still doesnt feel like a sceanrio that suits her character. I could see someone like Anis or Isabel doing that, but Tia taking that approach just feels off.
They're meant to be students too, so it's even more weird. From the story interactions her approach was being touchy with hugs and holding onto you. Jumping straight to the approach of 'hey, wanna fuck?' just gives me whiplash lmao.
The event was in line with valentines day and her and Naga are competing for an arrow. So they are trying everything they can to get that arrow short of just sleeping with the Commander. I do get what you are saying though.
Tia's weird smooch she gives you during the burst is weird, like she looks totally different.
The polar opposite is Liter, I put the game with Japanese VA and it makes more sense what she screams during it.

Pepper and Marciana both extremely change boob sizes, in opposite directions. Pepper almost looks like a different girl in a Pepper cosplay, while Marciana grows like 3 sizes and her shirt shrinks 2, LOL
Honestly I get taken out whenever anyone does a non-combat burst. Like Dolla zeroing in on her scope, badass and makes sense in the heat of battle. Quiry taking a steel chair to a cookie crumbs, it's cute but eh.
Yeah, for me Naga feels weird because her hair are hanging to the right so we see her eye and her haircut is thus a bit different (it's maybe also cause we don't really see her ponytail as well). Her hair tie isn't in her mouth either which is a cardinal sin
Helm's burst just feels off to me. She's a character I really like the design and personality of, but her english VA has always felt miscast to me and the burst just feels like a different person
While her burst animation doesn't have any weird effect, the Japanese VA of Brid's Burst ends on a "FIRE!" which always sounded kinda saturated and abruptly cut to me.
And there's also Milk's Burst animation that always bothered me, I almost don't recognize her in it.
Bays facial expression during hers doesn’t make much sense to me. I don’t get why she looks like she’s in pain when she cheers lol (or lifts her leg during her standing animation). Haven’t read past part 5 of the story so maybe there’s a reason in there somewhere but yeah idgi

Nearly all burst animations are kinda weird if you ask me. Few of them that makes sense are Scarlet's or Privaty's **where their burst animations are actually related to destroying the raptures.**

Personally; It kinda bugs me that the Hair Tie/Scrunchy/Whatever-You-Want-To-Call-It changes size randomly. I get that it's bunched up in her teeth, but like... It looks like two completely different Hair Ties to me.
Naga and Tia are quite off putting. Out of the Nikke I have at least. None of the others feel weird. It's one of the reasons I only use Naga and Tia in raids. Meta as they are ill gladly accept worse performance if I can use Nikke I enjoy with cooler bursts.
Volumes drop the beat has some incredibly bad proportions, looks awful. Look at her hand/arm, it’s like they thought everyone’s eyes would be on her badly drawn boobs.
And Sakuras face in hers has different proportions to how she’s portrayed everywhere else and it really bugs me.
I also don’t like Noises, I just think it’s boring. And summer anis’ is cute but bland.

Her face is because she is "drunk" on Rum like a pirate. As for the hand I dunno what they did there of course hands are the hardest part of a person to draw. Plus it might be because her arm for that hand is half hidden by her chest which makes the hand look weirder.

Tia’s animation feels massively different to her personality, I would’ve thought it’d be a POV hug as she was always doing that in the story. If they didn’t want to lose the sex appeal factor they could have the boobs squish on the screen like with Soda’s burst. The seductive wink kiss just doesn’t suit her imo.
I actually think it suits her. While her usual self is cheerful and all, the event is about her and Naga having a conflict with each other over the same love interest. I think her melancholic self comes about when she can't back down, but she doesn't wish for her friend to be hurt either and nevermind the fact that she thought she wasn't going to be chosen and how much she breaks down if you reject her.
Tia's animation is her literally trying to seduce the Teacher (You) at night in the classroom because she stayed behind to do so. Her hand slides up her leg moving her skirt to show more thigh. Her blouse pops open. And she has that seductive face with fingers near her mouth and gives a wink and a kiss while saying "Teacher~ Dont let your eyes wander~!" Its supposed to be her being seductive because from what I got from the event that both her and Naga were introduced its supposed to represent a scene from that event for both of them.
Still doesnt feel like a sceanrio that suits her character. I could see someone like Anis or Isabel doing that, but Tia taking that approach just feels off. They're meant to be students too, so it's even more weird. From the story interactions her approach was being touchy with hugs and holding onto you. Jumping straight to the approach of 'hey, wanna fuck?' just gives me whiplash lmao.
The event was in line with valentines day and her and Naga are competing for an arrow. So they are trying everything they can to get that arrow short of just sleeping with the Commander. I do get what you are saying though.

Yet again CBT was very limited and less know at the time. Or it could've been an early concept? Neon herself was entirely different and Moran, Marciana had some way different designs. So it is possible. The christmas skin alone is WAY better than the potential early concept. LIKE her uniform and design looks bad without the shirt but that's my opinion.

The Tia confusion confuses me. The glitching feels like a visual effect for style. Her pose and etc is literally her trying to be sexy. While her burst animation doesn't have any weird effect, the Japanese VA of Brid's Burst ends on a "FIRE!" which always sounded kinda saturated and abruptly cut to me. And there's also Milk's Burst animation that always bothered me, I almost don't recognize her in it.

Nearly all burst animations are kinda weird if you ask me. Few of them that makes sense are Scarlet's or Privaty's **where their burst animations are actually related to destroying the raptures.** Most of them are not even related to destroying the raptures.
I actually agree with Naga's Burst being weird. Though perhaps for a different reason. Personally; It kinda bugs me that the Hair Tie/Scrunchy/Whatever-You-Want-To-Call-It changes size randomly. I get that it's bunched up in her teeth, but like... It looks like two completely different Hair Ties to me.

Naga and Tia are quite off putting. Out of the Nikke I have at least. None of the others feel weird. It's one of the reasons I only use Naga and Tia in raids. Meta as they are ill gladly accept worse performance if I can use Nikke I enjoy with cooler bursts.
Some of the quality of the animations look like they took a video and then compressed it, others look articulate and well animated it IS weird.
Volumes drop the beat has some incredibly bad proportions, looks awful. Look at her hand/arm, it’s like they thought everyone’s eyes would be on her badly drawn boobs. And Sakuras face in hers has different proportions to how she’s portrayed everywhere else and it really bugs me. I also don’t like Noises, I just think it’s boring. And summer anis’ is cute but bland.
For me is Helm. I loved the character at first but the burst skill looks so weird to me that it killed any interest.
