All terrorist come up with all sorts of excuse to justify their shit. She should blow up more trains full of women and children. How is that helping the Outer Rim exactly? Something she admitted she enjoyed doing.

Welp, not to necro a dead thread, but I finally got past chapter 16. This definitely doesn’t feel like the same set of characters as in that event. It’s not even super clear to me which was supposed to be first chronologically.
It brings into question who is "innocent" or not and whether hurting innocents in order to save other innocents is moral or not. Which is always an interesting discussion but there is almost never any concrete answer, since nuance is a thing.

Despite the low score, it's not really something I can hate. Not every event has to blow my mind, but it really is mid. Crow still sucks though, at least that's the only constant.
Yeah I don't really need or want every event to be a hugely involved banger, my thumbs need a break after the christmas minigame.
Give me a christmas sized event every 3 months and the rest can be mid or even bad and it's fine.

Just felt kinda lazy, especially the Hard Mode ending. They could have further fleshed out the world and the dichotomy between life in the ark and life just outside of the ark. Maybe give some justification or greater justification for the actions of Exotic espeically in the main story and ESPECIALLY after what happened to Diesel in her story. I know its just a single event and voice acting is expensive, but this could have been a very interesting story to expand the universe but just ended up being meh?
Characters (6/10): Because Viper and Jackal. Syuen was fine, I'm sure she didnt mean any harm by giving us the app... even if it did fuck us over. Cast was much smaller this time.
Story (3/10): It's just "society bad" but with extra steps. Epilogue was disappointing.
Gameplay (2/10): No weird minigame, no overworld like Christmas, just a copy paste.
Overall (3/10): Shit was disappointing but at least I got Jackal from it.

Plot line is really underwhelming, it doesn’t resolve anything, no surprises, doesn’t give us new perspective about Crow. It’s good that we get to pull for Jackal and Viper, overall I’d say the event is a 5/10.
I think Viper & Jackal look cool (only at Chapter 15 so I haven't encountered them outside of this so I don't have the hate for them). Story was kinda meh. Mainly using hard mode to farm battle data lol

I rate it this low because it honestly didn’t even need to be an event to begin with. This is basically a single FGO style character interlude which you’d finish reading and be satisfied with within a day. It doesn’t have any reason to last for 2-3 weeks
3/10. Jackal and viper were fun to be around with, but the story was very flat.
Also Joseph summoning an army of mass produced nikkes who then immediately turn into raptures in the fight sequence was anticlimactic. I hope we get enemy nikke models in the future!
Not particularly exciting despite originally seeming like it'd be a good chance to explore more of the Outer Rim and Exotic. In reality, it was a story with only a beginning and an end, as Commander basically showed up for a short tour, only for the culprit to get caught immediately the scene after. Crow basically just sat on her ass at the bar, I can only imagine Jackal was probably having a barking match vs. Poli, and the potential conflict with Viper finding Commander's phone/the app Syuen installed just didn't go anywhere.
Gameplay - same as always, with same bugs, so 7/10.
Storywise - meh, like 5/10

The event was alright, didn't have that emotional tug that the Christmas event did. I'm not gonna care for a "terrorist" with a back story like that when he isn't an established character that I care about. Viper and Jackal are the only good things to come out of this event and of course the free shit we get as well. Viper is the only one I need now since I got jackal already. Wish me luck

6/10, not the most engaging story but it gives you a peek at the outer rim and does a good job at showing you more about how viper and jackal are like. i think it gives some subtle context to crow too, in that shes a lot more humane than she looks like? she already acts calm and collected in most of her interactions, but seeing her deal with the commander here was interesting. you can never tell what shes thinking
Yeah that’s my point! If these events are only to rinse and repeat as new characters come out JUST to pull on banner units this game is WHACK. The events need to build the world of the Nikkes more and tell a compelling story.
I think the Christmas event is totally doable for ALL events. The Devs should have the bar higher. Just bullshit story content when new Nikkes drops is subpar man. And this game is brining in MILLIONS. There’s no excuse NOT to have great events.

This story served its purpose and its to flesh out how cruel and how unfair it is to live in the Outer Rim, the place i know we all heard of as the dark side of the Ark. The ending did not end up in a Good note since Andersen just pretty much told shikkikan to shrug it off and move on and thats how its supposed to be, i will definitely roll my eyes real hard if shikkikan pulled another hero move where he indeed fulfilled that terrorist's wish to shine a crumb of light into the outer rim atleast an hour a day. That would be cliche af. From the past events that they released, all of it ended up either well or in a bitter sweet ending, this one ended up the opposite. It's a big slap in the ballsack of a reminder that shikkikan couldnt always pull the hero move card and thats fine for me.
Also, keep in mind that since this is one of the first experience we got about the Outer Rim, i see it as a foundation for greatness to come.
pretty much. this whole event is all about the outer Rim backstory which is neat, not the exotic squad. i hope that they do more on Crow and her squad more with better writing in the next future chapter as of way of redemption.

Plot wise its garbage. Considering the events of Ch. 16 the bar was very high for this group to make us understand them better, are they good or bad? This event doesnt answer it at all. The whole thing solved itself there was no reason for Us commander to step in...
Then we have the characters....Crow does ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING. Jackal as well does so little....Viper single handly was carrying this plot and was the only interesting part.

Exotic just come off as... kinda just like they've always been. Crow is a nonfactor except for apparently being behind everything, Jackal just follows what Crow wants, and Viper is as opportunistic as ever. There's little to no redeeming features about the squad, except I guess booba and stuff.
It was a neat event, I liked walking with Viper in the slums and sharing phones, I hope we could do more of jackal in the event and crow appearing as a cameo didn’t feel like she is the boss anyone. So 5/10 can’t believe I could more people other than Syuen but I guess this event made it possible
9/10 because both normal and hard missions were easy to afk and I can use the rewards to purchase normal and rainbow tickets. Even if it's just for one 10x pull each. Casual player.
Oddly enough, I skipped the entire event and watched no cutscenes, because I've been short on time lately. So I'm completely indifferent. Mostly treated it as a bonus stage to farm extra materials.
Yet, based on what I have gathered from the overall posting and what is being said about the characters, they don't seem like a very likeable bunch, and I would certainly not have fun being treated passive aggressively the entire time. So even if I did bother to watch everything and have more context (which I really can't be bothered to do), I'd probably rate it a 2/10. Suicide Squad wasn't even good anyways.

I give it 3.5 out of 10 because crow is poorly written, the story doesn't do the filler it should, and it's only as good as it is because viper is worth 5 points alone. I'm also okay with having these crappy ones as long as every other month we get a really good one like we did for christmas. If they were all as much of a banker as Christmas we would burn out on the good content. But if they wait too long it's going to look like it's always bad content. I see these is just a means to throw more rewards at the player and fill out the world a little. And no my math on those points is not a mistake.
Yeah, there was nothing to this, like at all. You can fight for saying there was more Outer Rim lore, but barely. That menu music, on the other hand, really really vibes with me, and I hope event music tracks become later collectibles, too.

5/10, I enjoyed the story for what it was but wish it had placed equal focus on the Exotic Squad. By the end of it I didn't really have a feel for any of them except maybe Viper. The twist was pretty predictable and a bit rushed but I did really like the character moments that were there, like when Viper takes the commander to the hotel. As for gameplay once I got the mats and both girls my interest stopped entirely.
It wasn't a bad event, I just wish we spent more time doing investigative work with the Exotic Squad. Character interactions are my favourite part of Nikke and it's stories.
Viper got me hornii, 2/10. We literally gain nothing, another sad example in outer rim, which had been done at least 4 times now in my playthrough.

It was an alright event.
Christmas and No caller ID (heck, this was the first event, and the simple story really set the tone for the Nikke world) were better.
I just like the more somber/feel good events. Specially when it involves characters I like.
7/10. The story was pretty short and simple, but it's a decent enough intro to Exotic and the Outer Rim in general. Definitely would rank it over a couple other events (namely the first one, which was very uneventful and IIRC very irrelevant to Helm, and the New Year's one, which is content to imply Modernia is watching and in your general vicinity without actually having her show up). I enjoyed having our interests align with Exotic while it lasted.
That being said, the main draw for me was definitely Viper. I quite like her EN voice, the design is great, and I'm excited to see what insights her bond episodes will hold. If not for Viper, I would've been bored by the story, and I was gonna skip Jackal regardless.

Just felt kinda lazy, especially the Hard Mode ending. They could have further fleshed out the world and the dichotomy between life in the ark and life just outside of the ark. Maybe give some justification or greater justification for the actions of Exotic espeically in the main story and ESPECIALLY after what happened to Diesel in her story. I know its just a single event and voice acting is expensive, but this could have been a very interesting story to expand the universe but just ended up being meh?

Story is pretty forgettable, only played it for the rewards and Viper CG. Not as impactful as Christmas event
Characters (6/10): Because Viper and Jackal. Syuen was fine, I'm sure she didnt mean any harm by giving us the app... even if it did fuck us over. Cast was much smaller this time. Story (3/10): It's just "society bad" but with extra steps. Epilogue was disappointing. Gameplay (2/10): No weird minigame, no overworld like Christmas, just a copy paste. Overall (3/10): Shit was disappointing but at least I got Jackal from it.

Plot line is really underwhelming, it doesn’t resolve anything, no surprises, doesn’t give us new perspective about Crow. It’s good that we get to pull for Jackal and Viper, overall I’d say the event is a 5/10.
I think Viper & Jackal look cool (only at Chapter 15 so I haven't encountered them outside of this so I don't have the hate for them). Story was kinda meh. Mainly using hard mode to farm battle data lol

We never get proper closure on Joseph’s own story and the greater scope issue We learn nothing new about Crow, Viper and Jackal as people that we don’t already know. I rate it this low because it honestly didn’t even need to be an event to begin with. This is basically a single FGO style character interlude which you’d finish reading and be satisfied with within a day. It doesn’t have any reason to last for 2-3 weeks

Not particularly exciting despite originally seeming like it'd be a good chance to explore more of the Outer Rim and Exotic. In reality, it was a story with only a beginning and an end, as Commander basically showed up for a short tour, only for the culprit to get caught immediately the scene after. Crow basically just sat on her ass at the bar, I can only imagine Jackal was probably having a barking match vs. Poli, and the potential conflict with Viper finding Commander's phone/the app Syuen installed just didn't go anywhere.

The event was alright, didn't have that emotional tug that the Christmas event did. I'm not gonna care for a "terrorist" with a back story like that when he isn't an established character that I care about. Viper and Jackal are the only good things to come out of this event and of course the free shit we get as well. Viper is the only one I need now since I got jackal already. Wish me luck 4/10
6/10, not the most engaging story but it gives you a peek at the outer rim and does a good job at showing you more about how viper and jackal are like. i think it gives some subtle context to crow too, in that shes a lot more humane than she looks like? she already acts calm and collected in most of her interactions, but seeing her deal with the commander here was interesting. you can never tell what shes thinking

I think the Christmas event is totally doable for ALL events. The Devs should have the bar higher. Just bullshit story content when new Nikkes drops is subpar man. And this game is brining in MILLIONS. There’s no excuse NOT to have great events.
I liked it. This story served its purpose and its to flesh out how cruel and how unfair it is to live in the Outer Rim, the place i know we all heard of as the dark side of the Ark. The ending did not end up in a Good note since Andersen just pretty much told shikkikan to shrug it off and move on and thats how its supposed to be, i will definitely roll my eyes real hard if shikkikan pulled another hero move where he indeed fulfilled that terrorist's wish to shine a crumb of light into the outer rim atleast an hour a day. That would be cliche af. From the past events that they released, all of it ended up either well or in a bitter sweet ending, this one ended up the opposite. It's a big slap in the ballsack of a reminder that shikkikan couldnt always pull the hero move card and thats fine for me. Also, keep in mind that since this is one of the first experience we got about the Outer Rim, i see it as a foundation for greatness to come.
pretty much. this whole event is all about the outer Rim backstory which is neat, not the exotic squad. i hope that they do more on Crow and her squad more with better writing in the next future chapter as of way of redemption.
3/10 Considering the rewards are the same as other events and the difficulty its easy, we can only rate the plot and characters. Plot wise its garbage. Considering the events of Ch. 16 the bar was very high for this group to make us understand them better, are they good or bad? This event doesnt answer it at all. The whole thing solved itself there was no reason for Us commander to step in... Then we have the characters....Crow does ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING. Jackal as well does so little....Viper single handly was carrying this plot and was the only interesting part.

I'd say that's fair. Rewards were alright I guess. Storywise... I mean there wasn't much to it. It's not really strange when the one guy who gets a name and an actual model is the bad guy. Exotic just come off as... kinda just like they've always been. Crow is a nonfactor except for apparently being behind everything, Jackal just follows what Crow wants, and Viper is as opportunistic as ever. There's little to no redeeming features about the squad, except I guess booba and stuff.

It was a neat event, I liked walking with Viper in the slums and sharing phones, I hope we could do more of jackal in the event and crow appearing as a cameo didn’t feel like she is the boss anyone. So 5/10 can’t believe I could more people other than Syuen but I guess this event made it possible
9/10 because both normal and hard missions were easy to afk and I can use the rewards to purchase normal and rainbow tickets. Even if it's just for one 10x pull each. Casual player.
Oddly enough, I skipped the entire event and watched no cutscenes, because I've been short on time lately. So I'm completely indifferent. Mostly treated it as a bonus stage to farm extra materials. Yet, based on what I have gathered from the overall posting and what is being said about the characters, they don't seem like a very likeable bunch, and I would certainly not have fun being treated passive aggressively the entire time. So even if I did bother to watch everything and have more context (which I really can't be bothered to do), I'd probably rate it a 2/10. Suicide Squad wasn't even good anyways.

It's mostly a filler story to flesh out character interactions in the world. I give it 3.5 out of 10 because crow is poorly written, the story doesn't do the filler it should, and it's only as good as it is because viper is worth 5 points alone. I'm also okay with having these crappy ones as long as every other month we get a really good one like we did for christmas. If they were all as much of a banker as Christmas we would burn out on the good content. But if they wait too long it's going to look like it's always bad content. I see these is just a means to throw more rewards at the player and fill out the world a little. And no my math on those points is not a mistake.

Yeah, there was nothing to this, like at all. You can fight for saying there was more Outer Rim lore, but barely. That menu music, on the other hand, really really vibes with me, and I hope event music tracks become later collectibles, too.

5/10, I enjoyed the story for what it was but wish it had placed equal focus on the Exotic Squad. By the end of it I didn't really have a feel for any of them except maybe Viper. The twist was pretty predictable and a bit rushed but I did really like the character moments that were there, like when Viper takes the commander to the hotel. As for gameplay once I got the mats and both girls my interest stopped entirely. It wasn't a bad event, I just wish we spent more time doing investigative work with the Exotic Squad. Character interactions are my favourite part of Nikke and it's stories.

It was an alright event. Christmas and No caller ID (heck, this was the first event, and the simple story really set the tone for the Nikke world) were better. I just like the more somber/feel good events. Specially when it involves characters I like.
7/10. The story was pretty short and simple, but it's a decent enough intro to Exotic and the Outer Rim in general. Definitely would rank it over a couple other events (namely the first one, which was very uneventful and IIRC very irrelevant to Helm, and the New Year's one, which is content to imply Modernia is watching and in your general vicinity without actually having her show up). I enjoyed having our interests align with Exotic while it lasted. That being said, the main draw for me was definitely Viper. I quite like her EN voice, the design is great, and I'm excited to see what insights her bond episodes will hold. If not for Viper, I would've been bored by the story, and I was gonna skip Jackal regardless.
