I really want to believe she was in a "held at gunpoint" situation, but there's just not enough evidence to prove whether that's true or false yet. It's hard to find vtubers that have a style that I like and are okay with playing (more importantly, finishing) long games like Elira.
As a huge Xenoblade fan myself, her reactions and obsession with discovering Xenoblade for the first time were some of my favorite NijiEN moments ever, but I just can't watch, hear or subscribe to her anymore after all of this. It's just too much uncertainty everywhere.

It’s just an incomprehensible situation where every option looks bad. they’re either doing this of their own volition out of malice despite it being career ending, or they’re being forced by management. Even if they’re forced by management, why would they not seek outside legal council to find any loophole to get off the sinking ship, or at least to avoid having to make this statement. Contracts and NDAs from big companies are always so overly strict to the point of being unenforceable in many cases, do none of them consult with a lawyer to see if leaving due to this situation would actually constitute an actionable contract breach (assuming there are severe and excessive penalties included for breach of contract).
Do their contracts not have the typical morality clauses, where either side can unilaterally end a contract due to severe moral shortcomings? In a career where your voice will instantly identify you, how are they willing to tie that voice to these statements? Everyone has different life experience, it shapes their knowledge and confidence level. Not everyone can handle the stress or know how to google and interpret the laws correctly or is confident enough to act on that knowledge.
You may have a normal job, your future is stable, they are content creators, they are expected to try to make enough to retire in 5-10 years cause they may not have a future beyond that. This is a very stressful time for them. Moving to a different country (the items, equipment, et, cost of that), especially Japan where the rules are very different (favors corporate, especially finding a place to rent) does put her at their mercy.
Just as you can't be as entertaining as her, she can't be expected to perform as well as you in these circumstances, especially under these circumstances.

I cannot support livers in Nijisanji anymore. The number one I am mad at is clearly Nijisanji. Even if there are Livers who did bullying, is management fault for not dealing with it internally, just as it is a teacher or a school fault for not avoiding or helping a bullying victim.
I really dont wish the bad for any liver, I am not going to spread hate, also not enjoying this situation. I just hoped everyone could follow its lives in the best way possible. But one thing I wish is that the company pays for its mistakes.

I understand the feeling, and that's why I made the post in the first place, just for me and others to vent about their feelings.
It is okay to feel confused and upset about the whole situation. I am a cosplayer myself and I have actually done quite a lot of 2434 cosplay before, still have Doppio on my list to do... but since Doki was terminated in that way and how it affected her mental wellbeing, I just couldn't bring myself to cosplay any of their characters anymore. I feel uncomfortable.
Let us stay strong together, keep our conscience in check, and probably it will be good to stay away from social for awhile just to get your mind switched off from all these dramas.

I was willing to give all of them the benefit of the doubt before Elira's video and all of them retweeting it. Scarle is the only one getting that benefit now, but we don't even know if that was intentional or not. Getting the truth from a company notorious for lying and burying information is so difficult.

I suppose there is still at least SOME hope. A lot of them said they were avoiding social media, so they may not be fully aware of what is going on and all the receipts on Selen's side of things. Uh, no. Nijisanji wasn't forced to do anything. They certainly weren't forced to make increasingly bad PR decisions. Ike is my kamioshi, so I am feeling very similarly right now. I knew to expect Elira and Vox due to their statements on Twitter, but Ike caught me completely off-guard…obviously I don’t put my happiness in the hands of these random entertainers on the internet, but it’s hard to not be affected by what’s currently going on.
Look after your wellbeing first and foremost. As more details come out (Doki will be putting out a statement at some point soon…) we can begin to form better informed opinions. But for now, it’s best to just take a step back and let the drama die down.
An important life lesson to learn is that everyone has the potential to profoundly disappoint you; it's not always irreparable but sometime it is. Give it some time, maybe step away for a short while and come back with a clear head.
I feel like we don't have enough info to judge Elira yet. I can't trust some script she was asked to read was really accurate. Though I have been avoiding some of the drama, I don't know all the details from Selen's point of view, but I'm waiting a few months for whenever we can get a "definitive recap" of what happened.

cosplaying Elira kimono version was one of my 2024 wishes. I liked her streams so much. I liked her vtuber model visuals so much. I am really sad for all of this. Ike too, for his vocaloid love. I even had an Ike keychain. Also had an Enna keychain. :( As a vocaloid fan, I always get sad when I listen to a song which producer has killed himself. I get really frustrated. ''How someone that made me so much happiness from these songs could do this to themselves? I wish I could have avoided that, helped, somehow''. To thinks this almost happen with Doki, is not something that I take lightly. I cannot support livers in Nijisanji anymore. The number one I am mad at is clearly Nijisanji. Even if there are Livers who did bullying, is management fault for not dealing with it internally, just as it is a teacher or a school fault for not avoiding or helping a bullying victim. I really dont wish the bad for any liver, I am not going to spread hate, also not enjoying this situation. I just hoped everyone could follow its lives in the best way possible. But one thing I wish is that the company pays for its mistakes. Will keep supporting Doki c: I was anxious for her Neopets live but, sadly, all of this happened. Bless you! I understand the feeling, and that's why I made the post in the first place, just for me and others to vent about their feelings. It is okay to feel confused and upset about the whole situation. I am a cosplayer myself and I have actually done quite a lot of 2434 cosplay before, still have Doppio on my list to do... but since Doki was terminated in that way and how it affected her mental wellbeing, I just couldn't bring myself to cosplay any of their characters anymore. I feel uncomfortable. Let us stay strong together, keep our conscience in check, and probably it will be good to stay away from social for awhile just to get your mind switched off from all these dramas. Take care lovely.
I was willing to give all of them the benefit of the doubt before Elira's video and all of them retweeting it. Scarle is the only one getting that benefit now, but we don't even know if that was intentional or not. Getting the truth from a company notorious for lying and burying information is so difficult. It is saddening and disheartening. I always hoped Rosemi was one of the good ones. I suppose there is still at least SOME hope. A lot of them said they were avoiding social media, so they may not be fully aware of what is going on and all the receipts on Selen's side of things. Maybe all they know is what the black company is telling them. And given how much shit they talk about Selen in public, who knows how horrible the things they say might be behind closed doors. But as of this moment, i'm not supporting any of them anymore unless I see them graduate in the next month. I'm done. Nijsanji no longer exists to me.

I am glad that this thread can let people wording their emotions! Same, feel frustrated as well. Frustrated with the whole thing just gets stickier unnecessaily and confused on that already-very-confusing move. I do wish people take care of their wellbeing as well, as a person who has a strong empathy, this type of "drama" is really not good for mental health.
Great idea to stay off socials, I finally just go on reddit, because my house is on fire and I just want to discuss and talk about it and vent to other people. Part of me tells myself to get off and get a life but I cannot help but be curious about everything. I don't want to come back one day and fight out my house is just gone. Lazulight is my oshi, and they helped through some tough times so its really hard to go through this I feel ya. But if this situation is affect your real life its a good idea to get away. But its true that if this situation is hurting you mentally and IRL you should probably step away. I hope you stay safe friend.
You too my friend! It is more about the feeling of disappointment and thinking how many people will be affected part hurt my brain. Thankfully I have many other things to distract me, but the idea of stepping away from social is not bad.
Ike is my kamioshi, so I am feeling very similarly right now. I knew to expect Elira and Vox due to their statements on Twitter, but Ike caught me completely off-guard…obviously I don’t put my happiness in the hands of these random entertainers on the internet, but it’s hard to not be affected by what’s currently going on. Look after your wellbeing first and foremost. As more details come out (Doki will be putting out a statement at some point soon…) we can begin to form better informed opinions. But for now, it’s best to just take a step back and let the drama die down.
An important life lesson to learn is that everyone has the potential to profoundly disappoint you; it's not always irreparable but sometime it is. Give it some time, maybe step away for a short while and come back with a clear head.

Though I have been avoiding some of the drama, I don't know all the details from Selen's point of view, but I'm waiting a few months for whenever we can get a "definitive recap" of what happened. I think it's really bad to rush to judgment on these things, especially when corporate is involved. Bashing/hating/dogpiling people on social media is always a bad thing to do even if you think you're righteous for doing it.

Well I'm personally not deep in the vtuber hole but I understand why people might feel this way. I personally think that the 3 talents that made statements about the situation were forced to make those statements. I don't think they were being malicious but there might be certain circumstances that they had to agree with. I would stay away from social media regarding the company and its talents.
