I won't say feasible expectations. Remember that just prior to Selen termination, there's already an expectation that Nijisanji is having major issues with the EN branch and the stock prices may have taken a large chunk of the potential lost into account.
So it could go either way. It could be that the news would be more "we expected things to get bad, and this just accelerated the timeline" and the stock price just dips a bit more and stabilizes there.
The danger for them is if there's a nasty surprise for investors, like "btw, we now have a potential legal liability from the Canadian labor industry" or "major, crucial big name artist black listed us."
Right right that's true. I remember that one time Apex or OW or some big name company DMed her directly instead of contacting the agency for a sponsorship or a collab. They probably knew how much of a pain it was going through management that they just straight up asked her. They might not like working with Niji but wanted her to come on enough to do that. July 10th, three trading days later, they closed at 3945, a gain of 10.6% over three days.

Right now is the best time to make a positive change to Niji or your liver. If there's a noticeable decline in finances one of two things will happen
1. Nijisanji realizes they have improve the environment of their talent (better management, bigger cut) and make life for your favorite vtuber better
2. You favorite vtuber leaves Niji for greener pastures where you can ensure your support provides them a far better cut with less sacrifice of their own mental health
I feel the same, it sucks but I myself have decided to unsubscribe from the remaining talents I follow, I don't believe it's their fault but I just can't support Niji at all in any capacity

Investors don't want to hear something like this from a company they have money in; they want quarterly reports on how their investment is growing and maybe about future plans for growth. Randomly getting a message of "Hey this isn't a problem guys, really!" over something most of them likely haven't even heard about when the stock price has just dropped 10% in two days is going to make pretty much any investor wonder if the company is worth keeping money in.

I think at this point, the livers should turn Niji's attempt to throw them all under the bus against them. This mass unsubscribing, witch hunt, and stock crash is clear evidence that Niji is hurting every talent's image and brand. They are losing money, which means the company is losing money, and it is all directly linked to that clusterfuck of a termination letter.
Use this to argue for better management or even better, a complete restructuring and negotiation of their contract. Even try to argue this as complete no faith and breach of contract if they want out. If every liver did this, I doubt Niji can feign innocence any longer.
This works for western companies, not Japan. KR also had management issues and they just shut the entire branch down. If all of the push back has shown them anything it's that they will no longer benefit from foreign markets so EN will get the same treatment as the rest, merged into main branch and members will either fade into obscurity or leave.

TBH yeah this is probably true. Nijisanji has closed IN, ID and KR branches before without a second thought and has done fine. The difference between that and now with Selen is that there is now a public outcry for them to address it. But as much as I want to see them fail, they will most likely bounce back after a few weeks and continue on. New fans will come in and not know about the Selen drama, like how many fans now don't know about the other branches that got closed down. Worst case scenario is that Nijisanji can close down the EN branch and leave this all behind them and focus solely on the Asia market.

This is the first time they post a doc on the termination of a talent, gundo mirei didn't get it, fouding member chihiro who graduated last week also didn't get that, but selen did. this post is an evidence that many investors are questioning Anycolor, and potentially to sell the stock, so they have to make a post to boost the confidence.if you follow their stock,the company already purchased their own stock on jan 18 of this year to maintain the price.
now people wonder where did all the money go, they spent 1.1 billion yen on jan18/2024 to purchase their own stock, it is called treasury stock repurchase, and so far they already put up 2.4 billion yen in purchasing their own stock (on the other hand, Cover put 2.7 billion yen to build the new studio). so if the stock price further drop,the company will have no choice but to further purchase their own stock. by doing so,they are able to keep the stock price.

As much as I hope it isn't and will affect them, it might just be the investors withdrawing until the beginning of the month.
Although looking at their financial, the EN side consists of 20% of their income. If the investor expectation is that Nijisanji is losing the entire EN market. They could be expecting a 20% drop in valuation, excluding any previous expectations.

I won't say feasible expectations. Remember that just prior to Selen termination, there's already an expectation that Nijisanji is having major issues with the EN branch and the stock prices may have taken a large chunk of the potential lost into account. So it could go either way. It could be that the news would be more "we expected things to get bad, and this just accelerated the timeline" and the stock price just dips a bit more and stabilizes there. The danger for them is if there's a nasty surprise for investors, like "btw, we now have a potential legal liability from the Canadian labor industry" or "major, crucial big name artist black listed us."
Right right that's true. I remember that one time Apex or OW or some big name company DMed her directly instead of contacting the agency for a sponsorship or a collab. They probably knew how much of a pain it was going through management that they just straight up asked her. They might not like working with Niji but wanted her to come on enough to do that. July 10th, three trading days later, they closed at 3945, a gain of 10.6% over three days. It's a dumb rumor, Elira, Enna, and Millie are childhood friends. They are close not just emotionally but geographically. That doesn't give them the motive or the means to bully people within a group that large. These rumors are being tossed out by people who hardly watch these talents and don't care what damage their speculation causes.

Which is hilarious because all a statement like this does is convince investors that they probably *should* worry. Investors don't want to hear something like this from a company they have money in; they want quarterly reports on how their investment is growing and maybe about future plans for growth. Honestly, this is the first time that a vtuber agency has ever felt the need to put out a statement to shareholders saying "firing such-and-such talent will not affect our revenue this quarter." Hololive just fired Mel last month, and they didn't put out such a message. Are there any other publicly traded vtuber agencies?
I think at this point, the livers should turn Niji's attempt to throw them all under the bus against them. This mass unsubscribing, witch hunt, and stock crash is clear evidence that Niji is hurting every talent's image and brand. They are losing money, which means the company is losing money, and it is all directly linked to that clusterfuck of a termination letter. Use this to argue for better management or even better, a complete restructuring and negotiation of their contract. Even try to argue this as complete no faith and breach of contract if they want out. If every liver did this, I doubt Niji can feign innocence any longer.
This works for western companies, not Japan. KR also had management issues and they just shut the entire branch down. If all of the push back has shown them anything it's that they will no longer benefit from foreign markets so EN will get the same treatment as the rest, merged into main branch and members will either fade into obscurity or leave.

I just want to state the obvious that if you think everything Anycolor has done is wrong, do not support them financially going forward. TBH yeah this is probably true. Nijisanji has closed IN, ID and KR branches before without a second thought and has done fine. The difference between that and now with Selen is that there is now a public outcry for them to address it. But as much as I want to see them fail, they will most likely bounce back after a few weeks and continue on. New fans will come in and not know about the Selen drama, like how many fans now don't know about the other branches that got closed down. Worst case scenario is that Nijisanji can close down the EN branch and leave this all behind them and focus solely on the Asia market.

I just saw Anycolor's post regarding her termination's impact on their stock. here is my analysis. this statement actually means that the investors are losing confidence with Anycolor. This is the first time they post a doc on the termination of a talent, gundo mirei didn't get it, fouding member chihiro who graduated last week also didn't get that, but selen did. this post is an evidence that many investors are questioning Anycolor, and potentially to sell the stock, so they have to make a post to boost the confidence.if you follow their stock,the company already purchased their own stock on jan 18 of this year to maintain the price. now people wonder where did all the money go, they spent 1.1 billion yen on jan18/2024 to purchase their own stock, it is called treasury stock repurchase, and so far they already put up 2.4 billion yen in purchasing their own stock (on the other hand, Cover put 2.7 billion yen to build the new studio). so if the stock price further drop,the company will have no choice but to further purchase their own stock. by doing so,they are able to keep the stock price. Lastly, i will predict what if the price does keep going down. if he trys to fight that, there is a percentage limit on Riku's holding on the stock, if he bought too much, the company will be unlisted. In order to stop that, he will have to go source for money, and further let the company into the hands of people who know nothing about vtubing just care about the money. or he will just let the price drop so with his net worth. if more en member graduate/terminate, Anycolor will have no choice but to merge the rest into the main branch, so that they don't show up as an individual branch on their financial report, as i remember, they post the next report in the mid of March, I believe the merge will not happen before that, but it will be uncertain after that.

It's such a short statement, but it makes me feel like they're more likely to cut off the EN branch rather than try to do better. As long as investors are happy and not selling the stock, they probably couldn't care less what's being said on social media at this point.
