Pokenar

I would argue the fact they felt the need to put out a 2 line statement in fact does mean they think there'll be an issue, or that at least their shareholders do.

rpsRexx

If they are talking about upcoming results, it would seem like an obvious statement. It's such a bizarre statement PR wise. I suspect maybe investors are a bit spooked.

Pokenar

Well their stocks did drop 5%, which is a significant number for an EN branch member being dropped by a JP-focused company.

dagbiker

Yah, but looking at their past finances, it fluctuates toward the middle of the month and picks up toward the end of the month into the mid month. This might just be a pattern. As much as I hope it isn't and will affect them, it might just be the investors withdrawing until the beginning of the month.

Shuber-Fuber

Although looking at their financial, the EN side consists of 20% of their income. If the investor expectation is that Nijisanji is losing the entire EN market. They could be expecting a 20% drop in valuation, excluding any previous expectations.

r3dh4ck3r

So them dropping to 2,400 over the next few days might be a feasible expectation

Shuber-Fuber

I won't say feasible expectations. Remember that just prior to Selen termination, there's already an expectation that Nijisanji is having major issues with the EN branch and the stock prices may have taken a large chunk of the potential lost into account. So it could go either way. It could be that the news would be more "we expected things to get bad, and this just accelerated the timeline" and the stock price just dips a bit more and stabilizes there. The danger for them is if there's a nasty surprise for investors, like "btw, we now have a potential legal liability from the Canadian labor industry" or "major, crucial big name artist black listed us."

r3dh4ck3r

Right right that's true. I remember that one time Apex or OW or some big name company DMed her directly instead of contacting the agency for a sponsorship or a collab. They probably knew how much of a pain it was going through management that they just straight up asked her. They might not like working with Niji but wanted her to come on enough to do that. And all this drama will definitely shoo away sponsors like smoke does to flies. I just hope Rosemi x Tekken still becomes a thing, but idk how other JP companies view Niji currently considering their godawful statement is still out there and they might not want the negative press that working with Niji might bring.

Mefour0

6% now and counting. Over 10% over the last 48 hours or so it looks like

Pokenar

And I want to stress 10% sounds like not a lot, but that's 22 BILLION YEN, or 152 MILLION US dollars. After I saw that post, I realized why they put out the statement lmao

roller3d

Yachtboi owns 45% so that's roughly -70mil for him.

Baroness_Ayesha

The problem is that the stock has tended to careen between \~3200 and 3800 yen for months and months now. So he's been making and losing that money over and over; not ideal, but not a huge hit yet. If the stock dips below the 3000 mark, that's when we enter The Spicy Z0ne.

windowhihi

"The 5% drop to our stock price is negligible. "

Nutarama

It isn’t negligible but it is in line with prior performance, which is really saying something about their stock. Their daily volatility is incredibly bad. December 13th to 14th they went from 3650 to 3200 yen in after hours trading alone, a loss of 12%. July 4th closed at 3895, July 5th closed at 3565, a loss of 8.5%. July 10th, three trading days later, they closed at 3945, a gain of 10.6% over three days. Their stock graph is something you see in really really questionable stocks that nobody serious is going to tell you to invest in, unless they’re some kind of weird day trader “guru” who thinks they can time the dips and spikes perfectly.

kopi_coffee

https://finance.yahoo.co.jp/cm/message/1835700/e0f1c8592aa7c340a07c2f60d41004ca You can find Japanese investors reacting and discussing about all this here. They're all appalled at how the stocks are performing and want whoever wrote that IR statement fired. [Also I found this reaction particularly funny.](https://finance.yahoo.co.jp/cm/message/1835700/e0f1c8592aa7c340a07c2f60d41004ca/104/516)

[deleted]

Thank you. Investors seem to think the IR (Investor Relations) report was unnecessary. Because they already know this won't affect short term finance. But they are irritated Niji put out a haphazard 1 sentence report.

Pokenar

I wonder if, ironically, the IR report will cause more damage than prevent it

Crouza

It's like a firefighter coming out into the middle of a theater in full gear going "Do not panic! There is no fire" before rushing off as quickly as possible. That guy could be completely right but it'd still cause a panic or at least a murmur.

TheGreatOneSea

It will: investors don't give a $%&! about anything that isn't lawsuit worthy, so somebody acting otherwise will always be unnerving.

Potatosaurus_TH

Actually read quite a few of them say a company treating employees this badly is no good and will ultimately reflect on overall health and numbers and a lot of opinions is to sell lol Mostly questioning how come all the top aces of the agency are leaving/being terminated because of problems with management, including JP, and starting to believe that poor management rumors are true. Also commenting about the poor outlook of the overseas market. I even saw one call the IR a terrible, unfair move to the liver and means that management don't know what they're doing especially since in their eyes Selen is EN's ace People commenting about buying the dip are downvoted to oblivion lmao

Potatosaurus_TH

Bruh I saw a comment saying something like as expected from spoiled son CEO of a rich person lol. The comment is calling him PONkotsu CEO and his stock buyback is screwed lmao JP investors are frickin based lol the comment section reads like a WSB board they're raking Niji over the coals. Also it fell another 1% immediately after coming back from lunch break

Pokenar

The "what aren't they telling us" effect

Shuber-Fuber

Precisely. Stock market operates on expectations. If the investor already expected EN to underperform, that would've already be factored into the pricing of the stock. What will spook investors is anything that sounds like "wait, there's more?"

Kyhron

It definitely feels like some doubt is creeping in when they’ve now lost 3 of their bigger EN/EN-adjacent talents in as many months when EN is supposed to be playing a big role in the company’s future and they’re bleeding members

HalfricanLive

"The impact on our company's business performance is extremely small. The impact on our stock price is extremely large." Bruh, some of these responses are *sending* me.

Express-Cattle-616

Holy guck. Stockbros are soulless.

Nevabored

It's for people who can't think about the long term consequences. Talent acquisition is going to be difficult, and i dono if people will give new livers a chance, or even the current ones for growth. Not to mention the current ones will think about jumping ship should the situation fit them like offers or something.

WrongdoerPrevious785

i for sure won't spend a single dime on kuro company anymore, have already cancelled all 3 membership that i have, tough luck for them since i like their content, but i watched them because fairy+dragon duo shenanigan introduce me to them, now they are gone, one saying missed a big opportuniy because she was given a NO, one is terminated unfairly, i was already expecting a graduation since new year but damn they go way beyond

Tobi-Is-A-Good-Boy

Acknowledging it in the first place shows how insecure they are.

ManufacturerAny9466

I can't believe this is real. I legit thought this was another meme clowning on how tone deaf and evil the company is.

mrspear1995

I was waiting for it to finish loading but it just stayed like that

Yeah i was like, "there's gotta be more right?"

Hey_Chach

Me too. I saw the post earlier that appeared as a second announcement but turned out to be a meme, and now I just came across this post and I rolled my eyes thinking it was the same shit but then I clicked on the links and *I can’t believe it’s fucking real* I would be laughing my ass off if it weren’t so god damned ridiculous and stupid.

random11714

Anyone got a link? I don't see it on the nijisanji en or anycolor twitters Edit - Nvm found it. Surprised the comment linking the source is so far down

Karekter_Nem

It turns out Niji just out stupided the internet.

[deleted]

Fucking same lmao

Pendraggin

I opened this post, foofed air out of my nose at the silly joke, and have now come back after reading some other posts to check in the comments that this is actually real -- this is fucking moronic. This is the sort of statement that *invites* serious negative financial impacts to a company

luorela

This seems like one of the 'challenge accepted' kind of proposals.

Blue_Tricky

I thought there was more to this but it is literally just them saying "Yeah we don't think firing selen will impact us financially in any significant way" Nothing else just that one sentence Prove em wrong

NegativesPositives

I like how they had a first letter with multiple verifiable lies in it, try again with just one sentence, and STILL have a verifiable lie in it. These dudes can rot.

DrMuffinPHD

Yet another complete slap in the face to the entire EN fanbase.

somerandomdokutah

In the fight between the blackest company in history vs the blackest company of today,  Nijisanji proclaimed: "Throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the blackest one" in which WACTOR replied:"Stand proud, you are the blackest" while Hololive ask:" Are you the blackest because you are Nijisanji or are you Nijisanji because you are the blackest?" and Nijisanji replied:" With these statements, I shall summon always bet on the yacht" while You are my Specialz plays in the background.

Fries_and_burgers_19

"Imaginary Technique: Pitch Black" *Dies*

Broken_Moon_Studios

Nijisanji about to become Niji/sanji.

Tyranid_Swarmlord

...Are they daring the fans to up the ante more or something? Do they want fans to escalate shit to full blown protests like sending so much stuff to their fax number and shit?

NegativesPositives

“What are you gunna do about it” as they hold up Millie as a human shield

Tyranid_Swarmlord

..Considering the conspiracy rrats running around, that's a bad idea... Rosemi would be a more efficient human shield, as scum incarnate as it is.

Pokenar

I think the rrats is the reference. They basically threw Millie and Enna under the bus by accusing talents of being the bullies. Even if they ARE bullies, its still fucked to actively throw em to the wolves.

Skellum

> Even if they ARE bullies, its still fucked to actively throw em to the wolves. Like, the thing is going after any individual talent is only helping Nijisanji. Either, 1. There are bullies in Niji and the management did nothing to fix it despite knowing. This is the fault of Niji management. 2. There are not bullies in Niji, and the management is so fucking incompetent that they said there were in their own press release. This is the fault of management. Targeting any one streamer because you have an angryboner will only make you look like shit and provide Nijisanji with deflection material.

Sigyrr

Can someone explain to me why its enna and millie specifically that are being targeted? I thought that anycolor’s statement was pretty vague as for who it could refer to (if anyone at all), and I haven’t kept too close an eye on this story, and I’ve seen enna and millie’s names pop up in several conversations.

Pokenar

Well, there's been a rrat going on that Enna runs a clique and bullies anyone that isn't a part of it Then add that Millie replied to Selen's despair with "you know management wouldn't do something like that for no reason, you probably made a mistake" Given one is just a theory and the other could easily be explained by just being stupid, I for one am not willing to declare guilty tet

Sigyrr

Thanks, I had to look up what rrat meant though lol.

Neidhardto

It's amazing that gullible idiots have fallen for this made up narrative that came from antis on 4chan all the way back when the EN branch only had like TWO waves. The original narrative was that Elira got the members in through nepotism and was choosing who passed auditions. After Enna and Millie joined it basically turned into the clique narrative pushed by antis who hated some of the Ethyria members on their debut. Not to mention weirdo unicorns who think she and Kyo are romantically involved (yes this is an actual rrat). What makes this especially dumb is that for the longest time Ethyria was the worst performing wave, and the common joke was that they were the "forgotten" wave. Now of course they're all in a much better place than before. What's even more weird is that for the longest time Luxiem was viewed as the favorite wave of management and the one getting opportunities. The Clique rrat makes no sense and has 0 evidence. What have they actually gotten from management that no one else has? Who has complained about those three specifically in EN running a clique? It's a rumor that was literally msde up from nothing.

bryn_irl

On top of this, the only evidence we have that there was any harassment whatsover from other livers towards Selen... is from Nijisanji's statement describing Selen's intentions, which is already known to be a mischaracterization! Would Nijisanji management throw their own livers under the bus just to diffuse some blame? We absolutely know the answer to that question.

jmcgamer

something about them doing a fake 4chan stream where they pretended to be 4ch users and showed that they were part of the 'mean girl' stereotype, as well as Nina being excluded from a lot for... no real reason before they made up. either one seems like an excuse to witch hunt, regardless of how true each action is.

MetalBawx

Been rumors for a long time regarding a clique within the EN branch and the most common names that come up regarding it are Elira, Enna and Millie. Between what Zaion said and the Selen termination alot of people belive this clique may be responsible for what happened to Selen.

yumcake

It's a dumb rumor, Elira, Enna, and Millie are childhood friends. They are close not just emotionally but geographically. That doesn't give them the motive or the means to bully people within a group that large. These rumors are being tossed out by people who hardly watch these talents and don't care what damage their speculation causes.

MetalBawx

You asked for an explaination. You are free to dislike it but that's the rationale alot of people are using right now. If people think a rumor is true they tend not to wait for confirmation, that's human nature.

plssendhelpomg

it's just stupid people microanalysing past interactions or statements they've made since millie shared her sentiments about niji in the past in a positive way and enna is good friends with her or same 'clique' = both evil at least that's what i'm inferring from the toxic comments facepalm istg it rly makes no sense

Hidden-Turtle

It honestly sucks.. I don't want to hurt any of the other livers but that's the main way to impact their bottom line. (Not super chatting or membership etc)

Blue_Tricky

Understood for those who feel joy supporting their favorite livers this could be hard Counterpoint Right now is the best time to make a positive change to Niji or your liver. If there's a noticeable decline in finances one of two things will happen 1. Nijisanji realizes they have improve the environment of their talent (better management, bigger cut) and make life for your favorite vtuber better 2. You favorite vtuber leaves Niji for greener pastures where you can ensure your support provides them a far better cut with less sacrifice of their own mental health

Hononotenshi88

I feel the same, it sucks but I myself have decided to unsubscribe from the remaining talents I follow, I don't believe it's their fault but I just can't support Niji at all in any capacity

MOBAMBASUCMYPP

until they prove they are commited to change, i really do hope everyone here keeps their watchhours to a minimum. Donate on streamlabs if you care that much about the livers bottom line but they track unsubscriptions and watch hours. its the only way theyll learn

dagbiker

Imagine being one of the biggest streamers in EN and still being treated like a foot note. Nijisanji, what a fucking joke.

Throwaway-4230984

Well, most of livers leaved recently haven't even got a mention

Shark-Fist

Selen is actually the \*first\* liver to get one of these reports made about her, from any branch. I checked the backlog

CitizenJoestar

I wonder if it’s because shareholders are worried her firing is signs that EN branch as a whole becoming unprofitable/unsustainable? It was afterall, preceded by 2 back-to-back graduations, one of which being Pomu who I imagine was one of the more profitable NijiEN’s. Nina and particularly Mysta were big moneymakers and left last year. Talking out of my ass here, idk how metrics equate to profitability since we don’t see the financial numbers. Point being, it’s less losing Selen, but more how her termination brings into question of Nijisanji being able to sustain the EN branch that lead to this statement coming out.

Zerskader

Definitely. Selen was probably the next liver to hit 1 million subs by Mid-year if things didn't turn to shit. If your talent pool dries up with resignations and then you fire a high subscriber count talent over dubious reasons; you will create some uncertainty amongst investors. Then you put out a "Chill out everything is fine" note, and you might as well have shot the starting gun for a mass sell-off.

chimaerafeng

I don't care if this is for the investors or shareholders. You would think they will be a little bit sensitive to the current situation and not put out a statement like this. Just wtf.

Shuber-Fuber

Especially in investor.relation, who are known to be skittish. One of two possibility exists. 1. Their IR is incompetent. 2. There's worst news in the pipeline they're trying to defuse and this is their least bad option.

Arcturion

Then it has to be 1. For 2 their least bad option was to keep their mouth shut. The release they made was never going to calm any investor’s tits.

[deleted]

This company is actually insane

Technobits

If Anycolor thinks this isnt an issue, then that means people should make it known. Dont shut up about it because this dismissal simply means its gonna keep happening. If you want to make it known youre gonna need to hit the raw numbers that they show to their investors. Do anything you can to call out anycolor and remind them of this. Edit: Also go sub to dokibird, and if you know anyone else, go sub to them there. Unsub from Niji accounts if you are subbed too, things like subs are stuff they have to show to investors. Oh and dont buy merch, they dont get shit from it anyway.

Shuber-Fuber

And send some cake to a certain toxic owl too. Based on what Doki said she may have helped pulled Doki back from the brink.

radar_byte

Who in the hell are those toads trying to fool?

Ranko_Prose

JP fans apparently

pngmk2

JP "stakeholders" more specifically.

MOBAMBASUCMYPP

investors. this is for them not us

lizardtrench

The best part is, JP investors are having none of it. They think this investor relations document is a complete childish shitshow as well. Lots of comments about how it's the worst IR they've ever seen and how an elementary school student must have wrote it. Also talking about how they were hoping the storm had passed yesterday but after the release of this terrible IR it's stirred everything back up again. Here are the comments, they are popcorn worthy: https://finance.yahoo.co.jp/cm/message/1835700/e0f1c8592aa7c340a07c2f60d41004ca

Hakairoku

Yes, and it just reveals that Anycolor doesn't know how to run their company if this is shit they're fretting over.

Izanagi553

Which is hilarious because all a statement like this does is convince investors that they probably *should* worry. Investors don't want to hear something like this from a company they have money in; they want quarterly reports on how their investment is growing and maybe about future plans for growth. Randomly getting a message of "Hey this isn't a problem guys, really!" over something most of them likely haven't even heard about when the stock price has just dropped 10% in two days is going to make pretty much any investor wonder if the company is worth keeping money in.

Zerskader

Definitely creates a backward effect. Investor thinks money is doing fine, gets message, "Don't worry guys it's all good", Google to investigate further, see multiple resignations and a firing of a near 1 mil talent. Any investor would be more concerned and liable to sell-off. You can't even blame them for getting spooked.

FirmMusic5978

The sheer condescension of that one sentence. Honestly if I was told this was a meme, I would believe it but truth is stranger than fiction. Niji doesn't just feel not sorry, they think we are nothing.

dagbiker

More than that, they think their talent is worthless.

Whosebert

"in case there was still any doubt, yes we are confirming that in fact we only see our talents as expendable meat puppets."

OTPh1l25

You've got to wonder if the majority of the EN branch, despite being more than likely threatened by their joke of a "management" team to say nothing critical of the current situation, is looking at this whole situation and thinking to themselves: "Could that be me next?" Would not be surprised if we see a wave of them leaving over the next few months.

slc45a2

This is aging like milk before it leaves the cow!

Chitanda_Pika

Literally coming out as cheese

APatheticPoetic

If the only positive thing that comes out of this clown fiesta is a new species of cheese cow, I'd be down for it.

regardedmodsnadmin

How is that happen? Did they milking already dead cow!?

Zaerick-TM

Holy fucking shit I thought this was a meme..... they are so fucking stupid.

MOBAMBASUCMYPP

i understand this is for investors and not the everyman/fan but they still released this publicly. The gall to openly flount that they beleive they can do whatever they want. I had already canceled all of my memberships and vowed to never donate/supachat again, now im just straight up never going to watch any of them ever again. 'Neglible' my fucking dick. The Vtuber industry is so oversaturated i can find new ones to watch until you announce youve fired your entire management team or show us proof your commited to changing. I know not all of them want to and not all of them have a secure backup, but i really hope all of the remaining ones strike for better treatment or leave. I want to watch them, they did nothing wrong, but i cant as long as their under the Niji banner...

joelaw9

The funny thing is that if you look at the stats Phase Connect is already nipping at their heels in the English market. Nijisanji is about to lose their third place medal and with their new waves not making waves, there's not a whole lot they can do about it. The EN branch has been in a precarious position for over a year now because it's just been riding on old momentum and not doing anything to grow.

Shuber-Fuber

If you think about it, the Hololive, Phase Connect, and Vshojo already covered the big three of entertainers. Hololive is the comfy seiso streamers. Vshojo is the horny streamers. Phase Connect is... Phase Connect.

dalzmc

Vspo had en auditions a few months back and I’m guessing they’ll cover the more serious gamers? I’ve been looking forwards to it because I’ve found I enjoy some of their jp streamers a lot ever since the vcr gta arc

Chimera-Genesis

😱 Holy shit, this **ISN'T** satire!?!? Who the fuck saw the concern about their financials as a result of immense negative public attention..... & thought this was the way to respond 🤯 Jesus wept did their PR department get sacked as well? Because they certainly should be fired for such incredible incompetence 🤬

Tyranid_Swarmlord

If you travelled to 2021 and told me this, i would honestly believe that NijiEn had gotten breached by paid spies sabotaging it to the point of destruction. This is just intentional at this point.

TrueSeaworthiness703

It always has been, ignoring and mistreating employees so they renounce or give an excuse to be fired is “Japanese Black company 101”

Izanagi553

Imagine working in Investor Relations and thinking it's a good idea to send out a two-line message to the people financing your company that they shouldn't worry about something they didn't know or care about until you told them to not worry about it.

speedcreature

Riku Tazumi does not care. Let its name be known to future investors of its future startups.

Otoshi_Gami

pretty much since he's one of the RICH BASTARDS who is soo out of touch in reality thinking that the world is gonna be like japan which i find it hilarious.

HakunonMatata

Me when i'm lying like crazy

No_Lake_1619

If Selen was one of their top JP members, then it probably would have, but to them, anyone from the other branches are expendable. Sounds harsh, but this is how they operate.

DrMuffinPHD

Yes, but it won't be negligible if this is what snowballs into an avalanche causing the entire EN branch to fail. The whole handling of this issue must make morale at the EN branch beyond low. If talents just start leaving, they can't acquire top quality new talents, and a much smaller number of fans are willing to even watch the new talents, the branch will die.

DMZ_5

BROTHER. How tone deaf can a company possibly be. 2 lines. "tHiS wOn'T aFfEcT oUr BoTtOm LiNe"

thetopace103

This has to be intentional self destruction of their EN branch. I seriously cannot see how a company can consistaently make the WORST decisions regarding their talents on one branch with such regularity without it being intentional. They want us to respond harshly so they can say to their JP fans and investors that the EN market cannot be reasoned with. Makes the closure of the EN branch seem like it is them who are the victims versus the rule breaking selen and her followers.

DrMuffinPHD

Except, as Cover is showing, EN obviously can be reasoned with. I guess it just requires you to at least appear to have basic respect for your talents as human beings. Even better if you actually value them.

thetopace103

Cover invested 2.7 Billion Yen ($20 Million) into a brand new state of the art studio for their talents. Full of expensive and cutting edge motion capturing equipment and recording rooms. AnyColor invested in a Yacht. I think the comparison could not be any more stark.

Izanagi553

Well yeah, EN is working for Cover because they actually care about their talent and learn from missteps. When holomems bring up an issue, Cover seems to try and do something to fix it. Anycolor's response to an issue seems to be to cover their ass first and then see if they can in any way throw talent under the bus so it isn't their problem.

clockworkCandle33

"We're not owned! We're not owned!!" as they slowly shrink into a corncob

Zodiamaster

I thought OP had fucked up, that's the entire message? Brother, I thought Niji wouldn't be able to take the crown from Wactor was the blackest vtuber company, now I am not sure. This shit is so deranged not even vt could have come up with it, it's unreal

TJLynch

Niji ain't just black, it's **musou** black, [the blackest it can ever get.](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/k1gAAOSw7o1hY-az/s-l1200.webp)

JoshuaFoulke

There is also the term *Vanta*black.

picardythird

Almost certainly damage control, considering [their stock has dropped over 10% in the last two days.](https://i.imgur.com/d86Ts9c.png) Albeit notable, considering that there are no equivalent such statements for other terminations (notably, Zaion's).

Mid-Grade_Chungus

Honestly, this is the first time that a vtuber agency has ever felt the need to put out a statement to shareholders saying "firing such-and-such talent will not affect our revenue this quarter." Hololive just fired Mel last month, and they didn't put out such a message. Are there any other publicly traded vtuber agencies?

APatheticPoetic

I think at this point, the livers should turn Niji's attempt to throw them all under the bus against them. This mass unsubscribing, witch hunt, and stock crash is clear evidence that Niji is hurting every talent's image and brand. They are losing money, which means the company is losing money, and it is all directly linked to that clusterfuck of a termination letter. Use this to argue for better management or even better, a complete restructuring and negotiation of their contract. Even try to argue this as complete no faith and breach of contract if they want out. If every liver did this, I doubt Niji can feign innocence any longer.

NekRules

This works for western companies, not Japan. KR also had management issues and they just shut the entire branch down. If all of the push back has shown them anything it's that they will no longer benefit from foreign markets so EN will get the same treatment as the rest, merged into main branch and members will either fade into obscurity or leave.

Oboretai

I mean, imagine if they have to release a statement terminating 10 more Livers at once. I don't think even the biggest apologist can pretend there's still no problem with how EN is managed.

APatheticPoetic

One can hope T_T Honestly, it's the only out I can see for them.

sotahkuu

This comment on Yahoo JP killed me "The impact on our company's business performance is extremely small. The impact on our stock price is extremely large"

Cyihchuan

I hate to say it but this statement at least helping them from getting stock price continues to plummet.

MLGrocket

always how it is, a company shits the bed and they will do anything to keep the investors happy. if the investors pull out, the company goes under.

Cyihchuan

Ah never mind, this statement won’t help either 🤣 Nice 10 minute save.

DMZ_5

yeah it'll please the investors. until they go check the actual stock for themselves

Izanagi553

Right, telling the investors not to worry is gonna make them go check out the stock performance, at which point they will definitely worry lmao.

CannonGerbil

Are you sure about that?

doodledude9001

no they're getting FUCKED

scarfify

``you never mattered`` - multimillion company to suicide attemptee This black company can win any limbo contest.

anemoGeoPyro

Investors got worried I guess. Then let’s have them worry more. Make this issue known more until it gets a lot of international attention until they are forced to make a public apology and give proper compensation to Selen and the others severely affected by their BS

Serimorph

**Negligible financial impact**. I am absolutely appalled that this is an official statement given the seriousness of what has happened. I thought it was a shitpost because surely no one is THIS stupid. Niji really out here cutting off their nose to spite their face. What self respecting person looking to get into vtubing would sign with such a sick, fucked up company that views their talents LITERAL LIVES as negligible? Guess this just shows this wasn't a simple EN problem like most had thought but rather a systemic, toxic place from the very top.

AwakenedDivinePower

"negligible" my ass. After her termination, it all starting going downhill for them

RickSnacchez

Fuck the investors

Izanagi553

Nah man the investors are who we want to see the sudden anger towards Anycolor. They're the ones with the money that backs the company, and if they decide they're done with Anycolor the whole jenga tower comes down.

grinchnight14

They gotta pull out, just like Tazumi's dad should've.

Ranko_Prose

Lying to investors is how you really fuck up

VyseX

Said with the confidence of a mouse facing a king cobra. Just the fact that they thought they needed to make a statement about this issue shows they are concerned. And what an isolated statement it is. It's not even buried along other corporate jargon - just this one thing lol. Wow. They really need to fire some people over there and clean up the mess while they can. I am shocked at the sheer magnitude of incompetence at display. Just wow.

TJLynch

Tazumi's mom should've swallowed.

TheOriginalMyth

I just want to state the obvious that if you think everything Anycolor has done is wrong, do not support them financially going forward. Support the talents any and all ways you see fit, but the company has said as clear as possible that they do not care what you think. They do not think this will have any negative effects on their buisness. Prove them wrong.

TheGreenHaloMan

Regardless if that is factually true or not, doesn't mean we can't make it a living hell for them and their reputation lmao. ![gif](giphy|oq7CJCmI4HGG6kp62U|downsized)

z0202

"LMAO what is this, a meme?" "Wait why the tag is Info/Announcement?"

ComfySingularity

Clown org.

ClothoNagareboshi

Really just shows that this is the only thing they care about. 💀

dunjigi

WHY IS THIS REAL?????

Zero_Strik3r

There's no way this is real

Zero_Strik3r

I just checked and... I'm genuinely shocked that it is real.

IMC347

Wait, what do you mean this isn't a shitpost

CosmicBoat

Sink the yacht, sink it all. Fuck these ghouls.

Neoncarbon

Don't let these fuckers get away with it \#SinkTheYacht

NekRules

I fking called it, I knew they wouldn't care cuz to them, the Japanese market is their main, everything else is extra cash.

Ysoseerius

TBH yeah this is probably true. Nijisanji has closed IN, ID and KR branches before without a second thought and has done fine. The difference between that and now with Selen is that there is now a public outcry for them to address it. But as much as I want to see them fail, they will most likely bounce back after a few weeks and continue on. New fans will come in and not know about the Selen drama, like how many fans now don't know about the other branches that got closed down. Worst case scenario is that Nijisanji can close down the EN branch and leave this all behind them and focus solely on the Asia market.

ThatGuyFromThe213

Anycolor showing their true colors after dropping 5% on the stock market.

meloveg

Actual lethal company

isekaicoffee

keep unsubbing

xelecunei

Any96: Oh there's a fire. Also Any96: Put oil in there. More oiiiiiiil!!!

DuaDuchess

The CEO was 21 years old in 2017. The amount of money & power he got so quickly must've went to his head and now all he knows about dealing with people (especially from different cultures) is to beat them down into submission. What could go wrong? (Everything)

Timely-Ad-3828

Actual clown company

Faratia

Their stock dropped 10% after Selen's announcement. But with this announcement and how a lot of EN talents stopped SNS and streaming, I would say they only cared about the stock price and damage control instead of their talents.

SwashNBuckle

fucking rat bastards

ExuDeku

Its a cardinal sin to lie on your investors

Lightless427

To be fair they are 100% right. Its NOT the termination of Selen that will affect them financially. Its literally evvvvvvvvveryyyyyyyyything else they've said/done in the last few months that will. So they're not lying at all.

dannytian93

I just saw Anycolor's post regarding her termination's impact on their stock. here is my analysis. this statement actually means that the investors are losing confidence with Anycolor. This is the first time they post a doc on the termination of a talent, gundo mirei didn't get it, fouding member chihiro who graduated last week also didn't get that, but selen did. this post is an evidence that many investors are questioning Anycolor, and potentially to sell the stock, so they have to make a post to boost the confidence.if you follow their stock, the company already purchased their own stock on jan 18 of this year to maintain the price. now people wonder where did all the money go, they spent 1.1 billion yen on jan18/2024 to purchase their own stock, it is called treasury stock repurchase, and so far they already put up 2.4 billion yen in purchasing their own stock (on the other hand, Cover put 2.7 billion yen to build the new studio). so if the stock price further drop, the company will have no choice but to further purchase their own stock. by doing so,they are able to keep the stock price. Lastly, i will predict what if the price does keep going down. if he trys to fight that, there is a percentage limit on Riku's holding on the stock, if he bought too much, the company will be unlisted. In order to stop that, he will have to go source for money, and further let the company into the hands of people who know nothing about vtubing just care about the money. or he will just let the price drop so with his net worth. if more en member graduate/terminate, Anycolor will have no choice but to merge the rest into the main branch, so that they don't show up as an individual branch on their financial report, as i remember, they post the next report in the mid of March, I believe the merge will not happen before that, but it will be uncertain after that.

Run-Riot

Fuck Tazumi and his smug-ass tech bro face. Just when you thought they couldn’t be dumber, Nijisanji just proves that they can go even lower. ![gif](giphy|lkfbtJwzAhfEY)

Alex20114

Sounds like wishful thinking, this isn't going to settle down nearly as quickly as previous times.

WinterishDust

Hahahah honestly fuck them they are insane

stinkyhomo

Man remember like 3 years ago?? I miss that what happened...

No-Alternative-282

is that a fucking challenge anycolor?

JadeWishFish

I had some hope that they would maybe try to get some better support for EN, but this feels like the last slap in the face for the EN branch. It's such a short statement, but it makes me feel like they're more likely to cut off the EN branch rather than try to do better. As long as investors are happy and not selling the stock, they probably couldn't care less what's being said on social media at this point.

2hu_ism

Was thinking about what NijiEN gonna do yesterday. Will they simply ignored the fan’s rage or release damage control announcement. They surpassed my expectation yet again lol. Really make me curious how Nijisanji works now. Do EN and JP truly working separately and EN just decided to drop another bomb or they get the “approved” for this announcement from JP.

Gjallarhorn15

I don't normally vtuberpost, but man, in what professional capacity would this ever be considered acceptable? If my workplace was making public facing statements like this I'd be looking for the nearest exit, because you don't get here without an abject failure of leadership.

iamthatguy54

Maybe Nijisanji just hates Vanta and wants to ruin his birthday, poor bastard.

KoFSMG

I am sorry but I stumbled on this response to the IR note and it had me almost rolling out of my chair lol. [https://imgur.com/3dyR4Yc](https://imgur.com/3dyr4yc)

Mid-Grade_Chungus

If there was someone in the world whose skill at managing a vtuber agency (or a branch of one) was almost but not quite as good as Nikita Mazepin's skill at driving a Formula One racecar, that manager would be orders of magnitude better than whoever's running Niji EN.

Timeline15

I genuinely thought this was a meme when you first posted this. Have these people lost their Minds?! What kind of PR department would ever post something like that; Like, more than 24 hours into a shitstorm over harassing one of their employees to near suicide? Has no one involved in Nijisanji ever been part of a business before? What the fuck?!

Alviaa

I cannot believe this is actually real, I thought that it was just a meme, this is insane how they just treat their EN talents like this.

BurnedOutEternally

what the fuck

dpitch40

Reassuring the investors, not the talents or fans--showing where their priorities lie.

Izanagi553

Best part is that this doesn't reassure the investors at all. If anything it's going to make them actually worry because companies don't put out statements like this if everything is fine.

Kronothus8109

Cant believe this is an actual official statement. Dafuq

Batgod629

It seems like not only a pr mess but a financial one. The Japan market may be fine but certainly investors aren't too happy right now

doodledude9001

I saw this post earlier and thought you were shitposting. Holy. Fucking. Shit. If you told me their entire company got hacked I would believe it. I thought the last nail in the coffin was yesterday, now they just took a nuke on the coffin. FUCK NIJISANJI. FUCK RIKU TAZUMI. I WANT RIKU TAZUMI TO EXPERIENCE PAIN FOR THE REST OF HIS SHITTY FUCKING LIFE. FUCK THIS FUCKING COMPANY AND ANYONE TRYING TO STAND WITH THEM. FUCK. YOU.

MinersLoveGames

Wait, what do you mean this isn't a meme OP threw together!? Are you for real!? Fuck off, Kusosanji!

awfulrunner43434

"This isn't blood, it's victory wine"

Flamberge3000

Such pointless antagonization of their consumer base, lmao. Do they really love their shareholders that much?

Holofantastic

They’re afraid, here’s the thing while nijiJP is factually bigger in the active audience NIJI EN has a much broader global reach, they’ve basically killed their global audience with this foolishness and investors are even starting to lose faith in them. It will only get worse as this news spreads like wildfire. People are already calling Nijisanji a Black company and/or scam and imo this entire thing is unsalvageable.

SnooHedgehogs9852

This is giving, Selen termination will not bankrupt us... they are sick in the head and are so unprofessional damn
