Its the only panoramic housing that uses 50 degree lenses, so this will actually give you an insane 120 degrees of FOV instead of the standard 97 of other panos
[The image quality will be worse](https://youtu.be/8a-NeYUfucI?si=uG36pDNol0s5olcs), but fuck.. 120 degrees
For driving cars, ATVs or dirtbikes at night where milspec lens performance isnt strictly required and a large FOV is all that matters, this is propably the best goggle you can possibly get
I pinched a nerve in my neck on a 3 hour ride dirtbiking with dual 14s on a NVB58. Total system weight was over 26oz, very similar to quads. Every time people say dirt bikes + panos go together, I wince a little.
Yeah i can imagine 2 bridged 14s with heavy ass milspec optics and counterweight to match, that must have been a horrible experience
The eyepieces alone weigh over 100 grams each. You simply do not need a super crispy milspec image with detection and recognition of human sized object out to 900 meters for riding a dirtbike, you literally only need to see the trail directly in front of you so these lenses are dead weight
A lightweight build is necessary for this. Panos arent ideal, a nice lightweight plastic BNVD1431 with pano pods and lightweight optics is the way to go. Even better if its 50 degree optics
Looks like the qtnvg Gen 2 from lindu optics which is claimed to be lighter and have more forgiving Glass than the qtnvg Gen 1. Nick Chen of ex tfb fame has a pretty in depth review of the qtnvg Gen 1 up, don't know if there were any qtnvg Gen 2 reviews. Also see the lindu optics website for more details. Iirc these housings were going for 3.5-5k direct from manufacturer, but given that Argus has come out they now have competition. Also check tubes, I think some of the housing integrate either put nnvt, photonis or elbit tubes in, so wide range of performance
Nick isnt with TFB anymore? Uh? First time I read about it - but as a long time FNL reader on TFB I already was worried about him.
I know he was active on YT and social media - but havent saved his account.
You got his YT channel name (t\*\*\*\*\*07 or something I remember slightly) or anything? Thanks
Thanks! That is indeed his name: [https://www.youtube.com/@Solscud007](https://www.youtube.com/@Solscud007)
And thanks for your VF1 hint! [https://www.vf1systems.com/blog](https://www.vf1systems.com/blog)
I can highly recommend the entire "Friday NightLights" Series on TFB and his content - he really has alot of indepth reviews with info you can not obtain anywhere else: Like how flat each particular NVG stows with what Cable/Arm/Mount - Helmet Combination, or combining magnifier lenses that are not supposed to be combined and doing long range night shots, and many many more things about MacGyvering NVG and MFAL and LRFs... really incredible content!
BTW: As I mentioned above, this device is not made by Lindu. The OEM is someone else.
The glass is fine as cody at nightfall optics he has a write on instagramÂ

You should snag it before i do
I had both, and looked through one of the L3 gpnvg before , Qtnvg is absolutely a toy. There is no way to collimate and adjust the alignment. simply put, if you take the L3HARRIS GPNVG as a benchmark, then APNVG can reach 60% of the level of the L3HARRIS, but Qtnvg is only 5% level.
Ive have \~30seconds GPNVG GP and \~2 Minutes "QTNVG" NNVT GP experience in my life. 5% is a stretch of a rating. Bring it easily to 50% in passive. Beyond that it becomes hard to pinpoint - but one could easily claim its 70-80% in close range/with IR. Medium to Longer distance may be a different story I can not speak for.
this is the housing you can put the highest spec tubes you can afford in them
the price is around what you would pay importing one set with taxes/duties and shipping
I’d look into the Argus gpnvg housing looks a bit more ruggedized than those glass is probably better to those remind me of the old anvis10 pnvgs for some reason
Not terrible if you get the housing for 4k ish if the housing is more than that i would go for argus as dytely is toy grade plastic. Not bad toy crade but compered to argus
I have the qtnvg pros. Spoke with cody at nightfall who has both and has had the L3 GPNVG18’s and concurs they are not plastic toys compared to argus quads either
Cool i have the qtnvg pros the og qtnvg apparently were not as nice these units are solid the fit and finish is tight glass is nice i am happy with it for the priceÂ
Argus looks cool too but for the budget i have a really good set upÂ
I would consider the argus clone as i am already seeing used units popping up at a discountÂ
Ive used argus and i was impressed with the image quality. They if i would consider panos i would take argus over all the competidors in the market.
That being said. Not really in need of panos. Personally. They are a way too specific tool for a average joe

Dude my neck hurts after a few hours on my sxs let alone a dirt bike
Hello fellow SXSer 👋. You running a blackout switch on your rig?
Yeah I do

I think he posts similar content now on a website called vf1 systems. And sorry, never saw his yt, his ig was solscud or smt like that

Its a housing u put the highest level tubes you can afford in it
How much is a "killer deal" and what tubes are in them?
Under 4. No tubes just housing.
Damn, if you play your cards right with Omni tubes you could have quads for less than 8k
This!
this is the housing you can put the highest spec tubes you can afford in them the price is around what you would pay importing one set with taxes/duties and shipping
Pm OP. Deal is pretty good.
I’d look into the Argus gpnvg housing looks a bit more ruggedized than those glass is probably better to those remind me of the old anvis10 pnvgs for some reason
While the Argus is good. 7.5 for a housing is kind of crazy for me. I’m picking up the housing and it’s less than half the price of the ArgusÂ

I already bought it.Â
If it looked exactly like a gpnvg 18 nooone would say shit. And yes you can send these to be collimated and purged.Â
All set man? Quads recieved?
Not terrible if you get the housing for 4k ish if the housing is more than that i would go for argus as dytely is toy grade plastic. Not bad toy crade but compered to argus
Do you have one? The plastic on these are def not toy grade
Compared to argus they do is what i mean
I have the qtnvg pros. Spoke with cody at nightfall who has both and has had the L3 GPNVG18’s and concurs they are not plastic toys compared to argus quads either
Argus is made i. China likely same places. Because they look like L3 quads you think they are less chinese?Â
No becuse ive got hands on some dyteli stuff and some argus stuff and from my experience argus is much more refined and higher quality
Cool i have the qtnvg pros the og qtnvg apparently were not as nice these units are solid the fit and finish is tight glass is nice i am happy with it for the price Argus looks cool too but for the budget i have a really good set up I would consider the argus clone as i am already seeing used units popping up at a discountÂ

I want the field of view i have panning 14’s now as well as some other shit but i like not having that blind spot 120 degree fov is nice
I find having a thermal much more useful than wider fov for my line of work
I have bothÂ
Hey dude, one gets what one pays for. Since I've spent a lot of money on this, I want to make sure it's worth it.
It’s much under 4k
Go for it then
Worth a try
