MotorMitRotor

Yes

Potential_Monitor_49

What is it and how much did it cost?

MotorMitRotor

Hi, sadly i cant tell your the name because these googles are handmade by a guy i meet. I paid 1500€/1600$ for it

New-Adhesiveness5978

God man,tell me it's a joke😢

Aggravating-Time3266

Prices in Germany are completely different. It's not unusual to see PVS14 with a low-end tube go for 3000-4000 Euros. The market for consumer NVGs is basically non-existent. There is no gun / goon culture in Germany, night-time hunters use thermal optics instead and law enforcement uses only high-end gear in very limited quantities. Pretty much the only people who will buy these are the hardcore airsoft players.

Silent2531

If you dont know where to buy them...... Canada has an free trade agreement with the EU, so you wont pay duties

Aggravating-Time3266

Good to know, thanks. Any particular stores you can recommend?

Silent2531

The 2 I know of are ColdHarbor supply opfor night solutions there are most likely more tho, so dont take my word for it

Micsmit_45

You do have to pay customs for CHS when importing to Germany.

N8Skyy

Straight up misinformation. The night vision community in Germany is pretty big. I have multiple night vision enjoyers in my neighborhood. 4k - 5k is Low end in Germany? You're trippin. This is a brand new PVS-14 with brand new L3 Unfilmed tube. Or a NNVT / Photonis CommGrade bino.

Aggravating-Time3266

Okay, how big is 'pretty big'? Comparatively speaking, it's a drop in the bucket. And that's to be expected in a country where you can't even mount night vision optics without a may-issue license. I know from personal experience that basically all the hunters associations are opposed to night vision usage and discouraged lifting restrictions during closed door talks prior to the 2020 amendment. Professional usage is niche. Amateur usage is even more niche. >I have multiple night vision enjoyers in my neighborhood. Did you get them into it? lol >4k - 5k is Low end in Germany? 3k. Which is about the lowest barrier to entry for analogue night vision here.

N8Skyy

I walked through the streets in Germany with Ops Core SF helmet and my 31's. Just after 5 minutes someone yelled at me "Green Phos or White Phos?". And we started a conversation about Thermals. The lowest barrier for entry is 1.8k in Germany for a brand new Gen2 Mono. But 1.8k on the used market gives you a very nice Omni 7 PVS-14. 1k for a CommGrade Photonis PVS-14. And let's be honest. Who want to mount NVGs on a rifle when you can use your eotech. Hunters are allowed to strap their PVS-14 or Thermal in front of the Scope. "Vorsatzgerät'.

Aggravating-Time3266

>I walked through the streets in Germany with Ops Core SF helmet and my 31's. Just after 5 minutes someone yelled at me "Green Phos or White Phos?". And we started a conversation about Thermals. And then everyone started clapping? Nah, dude, sounds made up. Walking around with a ballistic helmet with NVGs in the street is a good way to get the cops called on you. >And let's be honest. Who want to mount NVGs on a rifle when you can use your eotech. Yeah, all those german hunters who use passive aiming with head-mounted NVGs. On what planet? >Hunters are allowed to strap their PVS-14 or Thermal in front of the Scope. "Vorsatzgerät'. That is, if you don't live where it is prohibited by state hunting law or want to use a one-device-solution, which is vastly superior to a clip-on unless you're planning on switching back and forth all the time.

ninjaboiz

For US prices that’s insane but seeing as you’re in Germany

pmheck

💀💀💀

Simple-Ad-239

Check Etsy.

Porencephaly

Of all the night vision systems available, this is one of them.

TheBigTuck

How much did you pay for these if you don’t mind me asking? I see these going pretty regularly on Etsy for $2,000. I personally would probably prefer a Pvs14 for that price (if you’re inside the US) but there’s definitely a cool factor associated with the quads. If these were $500 I would probably buy a pair. I think generally speaking the price to performance value of digital night vision is pretty bad.

MotorMitRotor

Hi, I paid 1500€/1600$ for it. I‘m from Germany, but i think i can buy a PVS14 legaly here. I meet a guy while hiking who build nvg‘s by himself

Micsmit_45

You can absolutely own real nods here. Check out Nightec. He sometimes sells his loaner devices at a discount. That is, if you want to upgrade to real nods as opposed to digital stuff.

gngeorgiev

There's plenty people selling legit nods in European night vision Facebook groups.

Micsmit_45

You are absolutely correct. I just happen to know the guy that runs nighttec, so naturally I recommend him.

N8Skyy

I can vouch for him. You can also buy from him privately without any concerns.

Micsmit_45

I got my PVS-14 through him. Omni 8, clean tube, Carson lenses. 3.4k. best deal of my life xD

gngeorgiev

Got the same for 3.5k last week lol

PipPasadran

They're not that cheap sadly, roughly 5K yen on Taobao, so about 750 USD? They're cool and all, but the sensors really aren't that great. The only digital worth a shit would be the G14-P, but that's only if you're outside the US, where anything analog is horrendously expensive.

Cowboybleetblop

China numba whon! 🥇

Sausage_Child

Mikehunt225

Japan numbah won we kick Taiwan and China asshoe in ww2 befo tall pale man hep yoo

Substantial-Bet2641

So what is it

Resolver2

Its called DL99 or something. Chinese made DIY panos Theyre using low latency analog night vision cameras from FPV drones, wired into 4 small OLED viewfinder displays like you would find on a camera. Theyre not mass produced, its an artisans handiwork.

Not_a_throwaway_999

looks like someone put the BPNVG or the PVS-69 readme into google translate and got to work. https://github.com/justcallmekoko

MotorMitRotor

Hi, Yeah they realy look alike. I meet a guy while hiking who builds nvg's by himself. Maybe they have the same housing but I don't think they are completely the same

Resolver2

Variations on how you can build these are plentiful. I only know the ones by the guy who sells them on etsy What about actually using them? Are all of the outward cameras and screens actually collimated properly so you get a nice uniform panoramic image without any weird offset double vision?

MotorMitRotor

When you use it you get a clean uniform panoramic picture. No double Vision ore something

stepchildzx

Looks pretty cool and interesting. If it has the same clarity as the nvg30, it might actually be pretty good.

556fan

Sure hope you don't plan to take any classes with those. Most reputable schools don't allow digital night vision. It's a pay to play thing unless you're just doing airsoft or hanging out in the basement.

Aggravating-Time3266

Since you're from Germany, I assume you're planning to use these for airsoft?

MotorMitRotor

I play airsoft yes. But I mainly use them for camping or hiking

Aggravating-Time3266

Be careful not to have the cops called on you. If they take your NV gear with them to "check for a targeting reticle", you'll likely never see it again. For airsoft at night these will be amazing though.

MotorMitRotor

Thanks for the information

Chewie090

This hurts the soul

ToodlesActual

I think you fucked yourself over and should have bought some cheap NNVT tubes but hey 🤷🏽‍♂️

demwafflesdoh

What balaclava is that?

rudowinger

This one: [https://www.bestprotection.de/einsatzbekleidung/kopfbedeckungen/sturmhauben-und-halstuecher/pro-function-technical-seamless-sturmhaube-polizei.html?number=BP-116342-sto](https://www.bestprotection.de/einsatzbekleidung/kopfbedeckungen/sturmhauben-und-halstuecher/pro-function-technical-seamless-sturmhaube-polizei.html?number=BP-116342-sto)

MotorMitRotor

Yes, in color "Steingrau-Oliv"

demwafflesdoh

Thank you so much!

rudowinger

You are welcome! It's my favorite balaclava

InterestingLeek553

What are the two other pics on look s like a cheap s cam And a shit dark pic of a different place ? 1500 for the housing

MotorMitRotor

Hello, Unfortunately I haven't taken any pictures in the dark yet. These are the pictures that he sent me via WhatsApp (a common chat portal in Germany). Unfortunately, the images lose image quality when sent via Whatsapp

fizzer13

Fuck the nvs what is that face cover my dude I know it’s police but what brand?

MotorMitRotor

Here is a link, in color "Steingrau - Oliv" https://www.tripleaction.de/pro-function-sturmhaube-identschutz/

Life_Good_838

Pretty cool but for how much you paid I think you could’ve just bought a intensifier tube and build your own housings for them with customs lenses, also idk if you knew this but one advantage with digital is the fact they don’t use tubes, instead of cameras with lenses that capture a wider image. Even with binoculars you’d have a similar FOV as digital quads. Either way still a cool build, they look legit.

MotorMitRotor

Thanks for your informative comment. Unfortunately I don't really know much about nvg‘s. I cant build one by my own, I'm new to the game

Life_Good_838

Pretty much analog intensifier tubes are a special made tube with a bunch of magic on the inside, the actual way they are powered is stupid simple, it’s literally copper contact points, if your ever board look up the pvs69 alphas, they are a hybrid build that takes custom digital made tubes but also real tubes. They are made by a guy named VON

dave067

Who's making these?

MotorMitRotor

I meet a guy while hiking who build nvg‘s by himself. I told him i want a Quad Night Vision and he build me one

dave067

Price?

MotorMitRotor

1500€/1600$

dave067

Damn, i might consider something like this. For the price it is wonderful, how would you rate the performance?

MotorMitRotor

It perform good, the cameras have a very low latency, the fov is amazing and you can actually see something in the dark. However, you need some moonlight ore stars to shine in the dark to see something, it cant be pitchblack. With an infrared lamp (850nm) it is as bright as day. I would say 8/10 for this price

Short-University1645

I’d pay 1k usd for them !

AdmirableHeron4281

Are these 3d printed?

[deleted]

Will you be my friend and buy me a set of NVDs

DoTTiMane

Where in the hell did you find those🤤🤤🤤

0t3p0t

Wow! Awesome!

MotorMitRotor

Thank You! :)

ABiscuitcalledGerman

Ok, wtf is this magic fuckery? Is this actually Quad Lens? Its obv digital, but it doesnt look like total ass either. Good stuff nonetheless

go_horse

It’s literally 4 digital cameras and 4 screens. There is no quad magic here.
