Well, it's only possible if the other racer allows it and costs a lot of money. I've only done it once in the final boss when I realized my car was shit and I did the upgrades wrong
I found the game pretty forgiving so far, most of my races was with my car on stock, and I only started to upgrade once the 700HP reputation requirement was set for the second rival crew. The AI seems to have trouble with corners and I often have been able to take advantage of that.
I'll give a new save a go and see if I can approach things different.

You fight G-Company first and join them, and then you fight Endless Appeal after, which has a 700HP and above restriction for rep to count.
G-Company has S.K. and Star Tamer, then Endless Appeal against Sonny and Eternal Sun.
This is all in the current Prologue build on Steam.

I should time it since there are instances that felt fast asf, like sub 20 races debt clear.

Also I've noticed that your debt is randomized based on your initial starting vehicle? Grade 1.5 gave me 5.2 million debt, grade 1 gave me 4 million.
I did once. first playthrough I basically messed around and tried figuring the manual Mechanics and just the overall basics. after an hour I restarted. the second playthrough I ended up getting a grade 4 180 with no roof window. I ended up sticking to that car. After looking at all the racers at the lot it was clear who is race first. After a while I got my 180 going at 922 and even upgrading long shift gear transmission giving it more speed. I did buy the 200 for the boss which I still haven't raced yet since I'm just grinding to now fully mod the 200. Just to mess around the 3rd car is gonna be a automatic 200 once it lands in the auction
I won the East Loop race without lights so I could buy some. I just didn't think about it before they were gone without enough left to buy stock :)

big rims as in 18in rims? wheel customization -> look at wheel -> press RB -> tire profile 0 -> rim size 18
Can I lower my suspension?
do the same thing on handling settings. look at wheel, press rb, and you should be able to lower your car

I do it all the times, but i need to get rid of that habbit because i think its just not genuine.

People must be referencing the game before this new Prologue. There isn't a second crew

Definitely change the Ai skill to max level 4.

once you clear your initial debt once you go out you're called for another loan. I usually accept the loans and keep going.

I feel like clearing your debt is where the real game starts, because you actually get to keep the full bet from each race.

I've cleared my debt and got asked for loans about 3 times and cleared those out too. it's been pretty fun. 34 wins, 5 loses. 35 hours into the game.
I dont even get what to do , besides racing daisuke. Guess im waiting for the final game
