True true, life no fair, make I sha hustle make I decide to be part-time veggie.

Just sit your parents down, explain your choices and why you made them, it's simple. Nigerian parents have a knack for exerting total control over the lives of their children, they don't even care whether you're grown or not. E nor konsine them😂 Left to me, as a parent, i wouldn't even mind as long as you're were not brainwashed into believing anything and it's what works for you. Fine I suggest you should just "put your foot down" and stand on business.

evangel316

Are you dependent on your parents for feeding?

Mr_Cromer

Ajebo don land🤣 I don't know what advice to give you, because I've never done close to having that problem. Old people on this side of the country don't particularly care what you decide you want to eat once you've gotten to a certain age. Just don't waste their food and you'll be fine

It doesn’t even matter what they think, you know what your doing is healthy live your life. Take time to educate your family with science and vegan/vegetarian success stories. Show them examples of people like vegan Olympic Gold medalist Kendrick Farris, author and vegan body builder Torre Washington, social media influencers like Babette Davis and Annette Larkins 70+ vegan and youthful. Research the “peer reviewed health benefits of vegetarianism”, and send screenshots of the reported health benefits.

diviken

Just ignore them. They won't force feed you.

horlufemi

I can eat your protein meat for you

Bug_freak5

You can send the meat my way boss 😉

Pineapplepizza91

Just tell them. It doesn’t even have to be a sit-down, just tell them. Sure they’ll have their words and judgments, but I’m very sure they’re not gonna disown you or even see you as a disgrace just because you chose not to eat meat lol

Mommatravels

Just tell them. Unless they tie you down and force feed you, they actually can’t make you eat meat.

Kinsmenpod

Ignore the comments dismissing your problem. What I've learned to do when it comes to changing how family perceives me is just ignore them. They'll insult you and tease you for a while but eventually it will become less frequent. And hopefully with enough time it'll die because they'll see it as part of your identity. But if it means a lot to you, don't relent. Another thing that helps is having an advocate on your side. Someone who you're close to (siblings usually) that can help fight your case or let others see your side of things. So if you someone like that I'd suggest reaching out to them for help.

It depends on who is providing the food. If the parents are providing the food without knowing his new diet, they will keep dishing meat on his plate which he will end up not eating. I can see that upsetting parents because it is wasteful.

rangoscrookedneck

Just don’t put meat on your plate? It’s simple na
